Hi, Will it recover litecoin wallet.dat as well? I made a huge mistake and lost all my coins. Will appreciate if you can help with it.
Interested as well, whats needed for other wallets , just changing the leading 0420? edit: just checked the source, a bit lost here, could someone point out which parts need changes for this to work for e.g. litecoin? i guess this tool checks constants that are in the btc curve (secp256k1?) and picks the right bits around it? Pls enlighten me

i didn't follow this whole bancor-thing so pls take it easy with me, one question: one of the main selling points is the liquidity if i got that right but not even eth itself provides good liquidity as seen by the coinbase flash-crash so whats the point again? is this a promise for the future or something? thx!

Good day!
I've seen this wallet address from the list of my referrals in a faucet, look at the last 3 character: 3GZLKxx7SgYkUXarSRNULxjxRQf4P3DAY3
I thought the addresses only starting in 1 can be generated for vanity address, isn't that a multi-sig address? If that is possible, how? afaik before you base58encode it, instead of 0x00 at the beginning, you start with a 0x05 (prefix/version number) this results in a leading 3 address e.g. 05.payload.checksum -> base58encode -> 3..... 00.payload.checksum -> base58encode -> 1.....
|
|
|
eventually i got it and played with an address in the format prefix.payload.ckechsum for an uncompressed WIF key and pre.pl.01.cksum for a compressed one and that the prefix 80 results in 5 and e.g. b0 in 6 (uncompress so without 01) uff thx...
are there alts using complete other techniques than privKey->sha256-> sha256-> checksum + to privkey -> base58encode ?
