If you look back through this thread you will see all the email issues that we had, and this also affected the starcoin pool... so I just now got all of the emails from that. It'll take me most of the day to go through all those emails because there are so many, but I will get to them. I apologize for not warning the last few people left on the pool, and we'll be doing things differently from here on out. I'm sure others will give you the benefit of doubt trigeek, I was up until this morning. How anyone thinks that there pool is DEAD when there are 6.5 MILLION shares waiting for payouts is questionable in my mind. As long as the payouts come through I'll let it go and you can carry on with your endeavors.

Here's a warning for anyone mining at TRIGEEK's pool: karma.hashstrike.com He and his buddy Jdubz are a couple of real asshats. They'll mine this for a day or 2 to create some confidence in the pool and then BAM, they're gone. They were running http://str.scryptminers.net/index.php for a couple days, on Thursday night the pool stopped reporting blocks, Friday morning they "fixed" it. Then Friday night it happens again, only this time it was never fixed. We continue mining anyway, assuming that they would fix it again. The pool got up to 6 million shares before we all stopped mining there. I personally had 500,000 shares; which in Starcoin is quite a bit of coins. I'm not gonna do the math on this but I'm guessing that there were well over 500,000 coins in the blocks when everyone stopped using the pool. We waited for it to be fixed or to hear back from TRIGEEK. But never did. Lo and behold I wake up this morning and login to see if maybe they had it up again. NOPE!!! They moved onto karmacoin apparently. And now they have a bunch of new suckers to plug away until they decide to stop reporting your coins. If you don't believe it just follow the link to what was the starcoin pool and tell me what you see http://str.scryptminers.net/index.php. Exactly. Scammers. Here's the screenshots I took last night. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi1295.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fb636%2Ftpcb%2Fhomepage_zpse83d3436.jpg&t=663&c=1ef_gj6lo2OJzQ) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi1295.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fb636%2Ftpcb%2Fscryptminers_zpsa3174580.jpg&t=663&c=UDAmOAWW_6clWA) funny how noone replies to this. I'd like to know more. Trigeek, what's your anser to this? We set up the starcoin pool after the (re) launch of this coin, hoping that it would work out well... and to say it did not would be an understatment. There is currently no active dev for starcoin, and there are a TON of bugs in the source code for the coin. It was the coin itself that was causing all the lost blocks etc. At the time that we pulled the plug on the pool, there were only a couple of miners left, so we just shut down stratum and let it die a noble death on its own, assuming everyone had already moved on to greener pastures and that the coin was (once again) quite dead. So it's a bit of a shock to find out now that is not the case. As for why the old URL was directing people to the karmacoin pool- that was a configuration error. If you check http://str.scryptminers.net now you'll see that it is back online (as well as http://str.hashstrike.com). The reason for the name change is that there are about 5-6 other pools using some variation of "scrypt miners" as their name and it was just too confusing. I apologize for the confusion around starcoin and if there is anybody who is still missing a payout from THAT pool you can PM me directly here. This is the first that I've heard of any issues with it, I thought it was dead and done. That's funny because I sent emails through your support link and tried multiple times to chat with you on irc. Also, other pools have been running all along with no issue and solo-mining is paying out quite well. So why don't you fix the "scheduled cron job" as you put it the first time, and send everyone their coins. Why should we have to send you anymore info? And if you were pulling the plug on the pool, why wouldn't you have warned the people mining on it?

And looky here, trigeek's old pool link http://str.scryptminers.net/index.php is suddenly going back to the starcoin pool. hmmm.... can't wait for an explanation, I'm sure it will be good. ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif)

Of course there's choice, which is why I was presenting the facts for everyone concerning trigeek and his hashstrike pool. So everyone would have an informed view before rewarding douchebags. Hey, I know my coins are long gone, but if I can stop it from happening to you guys, then I'll feel better about it. Facts are facts, and I laid them out right in front of you. Maybe you prefer to be an uninformed miner, but where I come from knowledge is power. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
