This is exactly why I keep an unencrypted backup on a CD/DVD or spare USB key I'm not using anymore. Unless you're worried about someone physically breaking into your house and stealing the key, this will guarantee you can't permanently lose you wallet like this.
Btw, from looking at the source code, it looks like the key is actually created from applying someHashFunction^25000. I'm not sure you'll find any rainbow tables for that.
If I were you, I'd write down everything you think you can remember about your encryption password, and save it so that if you need to seek help figuring out the password, we can narrow down the search space. Especially if it was a lot of coins and a long password.
Thanks for the info! A bummer to hear that the hashing functions will probably prevent me from trying to run a rainbow table against it though :/

Like an idiot I forgot my encryption password for my wallet. I was hopping to use Rainbowcrack with some popular rainbow tables to try and recover the password but Im not sure how to go about finding the password hash for my wallet. Anyone know how I can get it?

If your CPU is pegged it cant supply the GPU with anything to process. The CPU is used to feed the GPU. Unless you get your electricity for free CPU mining is a complete and total waste.
If you're set on CPU mining look at the ufasoft CPU miner and set the number of cores to be slightly lower than your actual core count. i.e. 8 core cpu set to mine on 6 cores.

That was part of our old database.
I have no idea why that information was there and I plan on figuring out which idiot from my team did that.
I am in the process of emailing all the affected users to let them know.
We managed to minimize the damage on our end though only about 1 or 2 coins were lost.
Glad to hear this will be corrected

http://50.19.139.134/test.phpI found it by simply doing a google search for my email address. I wonder how many people used a password on there that may be to an actual account somewhere else? can you please let us know exactly what you google searched? I'm finding this hard to believe As I said in the first post if you had looked, I simply googled my email address ...

@OP actually you're the dick for posting the link without any attempt to warn those affected.
Fuck you ... how is it my responsibility to do anything about it? What am I gonna do, email everyone on that list a sweet little message? Get real ... I could have just as well done something nefarious with it but I posted it here in hopes of getting it resolved.

Post a pic with the card(s) and your username? Im tempted but would like proof this is legit.

I cant get mine above ~950Mhz unless I lower the mem clock to ~335Mhz. I bump the voltage up as well to ~1200. Im sitting at 1020 and 335 right now which is turning out 237MH/s
Be careful about overvolting. AFAIK, the extra power consumption doesn't make up for the extra hashes. But of course your mileage may vary. If I kill the card it gives me a chance to convince my old lady to let me purchase another, hopefully higher-end card

Latest DiabloMiner sends X-Mining-Extensions header as "longpoll rollntime switchto". This is not recognized by eligius and rollntime is disabled for this miner. Last I checked, DiabloMiner had bugs in its rollntime implementation, and Diablo-D3 stubbornly denied they existed (thus refusing to fix them), so I blacklisted it from using it. Specifically, with rollntime enabled, DiabloMiner is somehow confusing its work and when it expires, and sending shares against work older than 2 minutes, even after it has received new work. If Diablo-D3 has fixed this, and someone is willing to do some real-time testing to confirm it (on IRC), I'd be glad to remove it from the blacklist... That bug never existed and I repeatedly confirmed that the bug is in your pool. If this is your stance, I might have to end up adding code to detect eligius and force reenable it.

No. The difficulty adjustment will ensure that some miners can make a profit at nearly any price. Lower prices drive miners out, difficulty ramps down, mining becomes profitable for miners remaining, more miners jump in, difficulty rises, mining becomes unprofitable, miners leave. It's a balancing feedback loop that is always in play, it makes no difference what the price is. I have no frigging clue why after a year of this we still have people insisting that the "cost of mining" somehow affects the price of bitcoins.
Yeah it may not be profitable at the moment, but assuming the price rebounds I will have mined during these "off-periods" and will end up with more BTC in my wallet when their value goes back up. "Fair-weather" miners will shut down their systems because BTC is not profitable RIGHT NOW and will have less BTC to show for it.

With all the crap surrounding this pool lately and recent downtime issues Im moving my workers elsewhere. ArsBitcoin also has SMPPS payout method so thats my next step ...

The wall at 8.50 was shattered.. and 8 is barely holding on. I have a feeling whoever is selling such large amounts is just waiting for fresh blood to put in buy orders above it.
That "wall" at 8.50 may as well have been a pile of dry leaves based on how it held ...

Is there a reason payouts are not being sent???

I used my country code in front of my number and then everything worked great. Looking forward to this system leaving the beta stage so I can purchase higher amounts!

Luke-Jr, Please tread very carefully with this one... Security thru obscurity is NO security at all.... if there is no defense against this i sure hope the whole bitcoin dev teams knows about this and are working on it as we speak... can you comment on that? Its really not good form to keep these things private. Who does it affect? Users? Miners? Pool Operators? Everyone? Some disclosure needs to be done so that people can protect themselves depending on what type of vulnerability we are talking about.
I really dont think this should be kept completely quiet. SOME information needs to be disclosed!
This x 1000 Ill mine regardless of block header content, but if this isnt handled properly I will jump ship from Eliguis without hesitation and Im sure others would do the same. Ideally Luke-Jr would be respectable about disclosing WTF is going on to prevent a mass exodus of his service.
