No one said that higher ranks are smarter. I don't think that is what it should imply.
This is just a measure of usefulness to other people on the forum. Which I think is working.
Just look at how changing 0 to 1 merit requirement for becoming the Junior member of the forum changed the amount of shitposting.
I think this is a great way of moderating and controlling the group

This is good. Merit is going to be hard to find after some point. I have two very important and ideal suggestions to combat this issue:

My suggestion #1:
After sometime, let's fork the merits into MeritPrivate. 
These are merits that you can send and receive without any public log.
And at the fork time we send 1-1 MP (MeritPrivate) to everyone who has at least 10 merits on their account.

My suggestion #2:
I see that a lot of Legendary/Hero members are not very generous regarding sending merits to other users. They LOVE receiving merits but they do not care enough to send merits.
I suggest every member who has spent less than 10% of their sMerits get a "DICK" badge under their username.

But jokes aside, I know this is not related to the topic but what truly intrigues me is that 4 legendary members got nuked/banned during the past three weeks. Who are these accounts for? Why would they get banned after becoming a legendary.

Of course this is going to happen. This is no mystery. You removed the signature of so many users by demoting them to newbie. All the users and multi-account owners that were shitposting non-stop to get to 15 posts a week for the signature campaigns.

You should not expect any merit anytime soon. How does doing bounties help other members of the forum. Try to be useful in the forum. Try to help other members. You do a lot about bounties right? Share with us how we can be a good bounty hunter. Share your wisdom. .

Also, what intrigues me is that you do a lot of translations but you seem to have a poor knowledge of the English language. I am sure when you do bounties you double check your grammar, maybe try to do it when you write your posts too huh? Install grammarly, it will help you.

I am sure the merit was given mostly because of the sentiment in the post rather than actual "merit."
A merit is so important that you can consider it a charity these days.
There are tons of people begging for merits.
But good job man. I am sure your two merits goes a long way. I think you did the right thing. Hopefully this will encourage the user to be more helpful in the future.
