1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: LightningAsic Gridseed Controller Firmware V3 on: April 20, 2014, 12:13:05 PM
Guys do you have any idea why this is happening?

[2014-04-19 00:09:47.221] 1: rejected 33/45 (73.33%) 219.4/2208.6 KH/s
[2014-04-19 00:09:47.221] DEBUG: reject reason: low difficulty share of 0
[2014-04-19 00:10:5.168] 7@4 850MHz: Got nonce cd096459, Hash <= Htarget!
[2014-04-19 00:10:5.168] 7@4: 544s until frequency adjusts to 875MHz
[2014-04-19 00:10:5.207] 7: rejected 33/46 (71.74%) 144.6/2280.7 KH/s
[2014-04-19 00:10:5.208] DEBUG: reject reason: low difficulty share of 0

Itried different pools:
- waffle: worked in the beginning, not anymore DEBUG: reject reason: low difficulty share of 0
- Clevermining: now working after last FW update (v3d)  DEBUG: reject reason: low difficulty share of 0
- LTC: 100% rejects (DEBUG: reject reason: high-hash)
- Doge: not working

First 12hrs it wokrd very well with Waffle pool
i even tried setting diff with entering "d=512" for password with waffle, but i cant seem to make it work. Suddenly I'm getting a ton of rejects (>50%) and very low HR (1600kH for 10 miners)
Settings:
General freq: 850
Auto overclicking
Using LA controller

The other 10 miners are still on LA controler version 1.0 and working OKayish on 850Mhz (10 miners @ 3300-3400 Kh).

Any ideas appreciated!

I am having the same problem with v3.

- Wafflepool: On v1 worked great with freq=850 and hashrate @ about 3400kh/s. Now on v3 I get 70+% rejects and if I get lucky around 1000kh/s
- Coinshift: same problem

I have tried everything (power cycling 10+ times, frequency anywhere from 700-900 and running only one of 10 units connected to the controller). The problem is always there...

Does anyone know how to downgrade to v1 or fix this problem on v3?

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!!!
2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: SCRYPT ASIC miner ready. BTC+LTC ASIC miner, LA1THS, usd5000, stock ready now. on: March 06, 2014, 07:01:02 PM
I have the gold units (feb15 batch). For the last 10 days I've been promised an updated, more stable firmware for the controller. Did anyone get a link to download the new firmware yet? My rig is constantly restarting (every 30-60 mins), and if I leave them running for 12 hours or more, sometimes one or even as much as three units go cold (stop hashing, and are not displayed within the web dashboard anymore). The disappearing miners can be activated again by power cycling both units and controller, but it's really annoying.

So, anyone got the new firmware yet? Would be great if someone could upload it and post a link.

Anyone who knows SMOS well..

I have three rigs running SMOS how do I set up to consolidate monitoring? Meaning I want to go to one IP address to view the statuses for all rigs. I know this is possible in BAMT but I'm not real sure how it actually works.

Thanks!

So is do_direct_status: the IP address of the machine you are currently on OR is it the machine that you want to send the status to? Meaning the machine that will consolidate and report the data via the web page??

Thanks boss

I think it's the machine you're currently on (the machine you're changing the config file on). But when it won't work, just try the opposite (meaning do_direct_status = the ip of the "main" server under which you'll check the stats for the whole farm).

Anyone got news about the new firmware?

is solo mining with this possible? Do you think within a few weeks it will be ?

No reason you can't, just point the miners at the computer running the wallet.

Can you PM me how you do that (generically)? I've been trying to figure that out with my AMT machine, but that's offtopic.

I think the only way to do this is to set up a (private) mining-pool for your coin. then simply connect to this pool using the web interface of the controller (afaik you can't solo-mine directly from the controller).

check this for example: https://www.npmjs.org/package/stratum-pool there are plenty of tutorials on how to set up your own stratum pool.

Do we lose warranty if we overclock to more than the default 600Mhz (for example someone suggested 850Mhz)? I don't want to risk anything, so I thought I'd ask before I do something stupid  Roll Eyes

I did not get a hub..  Sad
I bought this one (10 port) and it works great was like $24.00
/1fkcryY]http://[Suspicious link removed]/1fkcryY

850 Core Frequency (MHz) is working best for me right now.

I got a hold of the devs on the timeout issue I was having...
It looked like this:
[2014-02-20 03:06:37] Device downtime (LTC): DiedBus=1:4
[2014-02-20 03:06:37] All process shutdown - dual 3
[2014-02-20 03:06:37] Close the USB controller power
[2014-02-20 03:06:38] Open the USB controller power

Basically all the miners would restart every 10 - 40 mins (ish)

I was testing on different pools including some coin switching pools.

The way it works now is if on of the 10 miners does not submit a share within 10 mins all of the miners restart.
He fixed it for me. (bad news is no auto restart now if one miner dies)

They will fix it in the next firmware update.
They said they will also give us the ability to turn on /off or set time limits on rebooting miners.
And, they will make it more stable, bug fixes + graphs.

I hope they will add the ability to add backup pools.

Here is a pic they sent me and said I could share...

I'm running into the same issue, my rig keeps restarting every 20 minutes... How did you fix this?

Regards and thanks for your help and updates!

I couldn't go over 3000khs in scrypt, whatever the core frequency is.
I didn't test the BTC mode yet (I need to bring more power, I'm on the limit with my actual farm)
Power draw for LA3M in LTC mode only is 100W (including controller and USB hub).

I didn't flash the firmware of the modules. I'm not sure if I should do it, as the image provided in the archive is anyway from mid January.
I tried to do it, but I couldn't make the module connect on Windows (problem of drivers).

So far, I'm not very impressed with performance. I don't know how to get 4500khs as seen on other screenshot.
I'll update when/if I manage to flash the firmware of the units.

Eric

I am stuck at 2400-2700kh/s as well with my LA3M. I've only tried core-clock=600Mhz so far.

Also can anyone or asiabtc confirm that the units shipped with the old firmware and need to be updated to the new firmware in the first post.  If so I'm going to be bummed because the instructions are written for windows and all I have are mac and linux boxes around the house.

I run the miners with the packaged mini controller (like a raspberry pi), this has linux installed in it (you can SSH it)
asiaBTC has a team working on a new firmware for the controllers, basically a new webbased configuration screen in english (the old was the one from GridSeed, which was in chinese).

So you don't need a (mac) desktop to run the USB miners.

But I don't think the new firmware is finished yet?

New firmware will be finished soon.

Just got my unit LA3M. Perfect condition, I am currently setting everything up and organizing the wiring (so many cables!!!  Cheesy ).

Paid with paypal on 13th February should probably have been in the Feb 15 batch? This is all out of order no one knows what's going on

yes

I will receive my units within a few hours from now (according to DHL it's out with the delivery courier). I paid via bank transfer (Feb 5th). They will ship out all orders from the Feb 15th batch today, or they have already shipped out them by now (regardless of payment method). They have enough in stock, so be a little more patient.

EDIT: Btw I received tracking number a few hours ago, even tough it has been shipped on monday. So if you don't have your tracking number yet it could well be that your order is already on the way (asiabtc will pm or mail you your tracking number).

Quick question, should Im from EU - should i mine at middlecoin.com or should i choose amsterdam/eu server to get better profits?

use one of the following:

Will you release the code you use on Rasberry Pi also?

Same here, very interested in this.
