Hello there!
Long time lurker (Dec 2010 or so) and miner. I mine on MtRed, but was also once part of slush's pool. I also have created and posted a number of Bitcoin/Linux-related tools and tutorials on my personal website. I understand the Bitcoin in most senses, and am a huge fan of the system. Trying to explain cryptography, economics, and mathematics to people who have no knowledge of Bitcoin or how it works is a little frustrating sometimes, but we make do.

I am a merchant, and run http://metagnosis.biz - we just started accepting Bitcoin, and I would love to be able to start a thread offering our services. I've made 5 posts, but the 4 hours online thing is a bit harder to get.

I've surfed these forums for much more than 4 hours, and there are really a limited amount of topics in this Newbie forum to comment on. If possible, could I please get a whitelist?

Uh, everything's under control. Situation normal.
Uh, we had a slight malfunction, but uh... everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?

No, but it's back at ~$16USD when I last checked.

Yeah...I've had similar problems - but related to the network. It seems to use ALL of my upload. Like - 450kb/s for uploading. And I cannot figure out why....or how to throttle it.

Yeah. Odds on this are a little wonky.

Cool! You've got some nice videos here. Thanks for making them. I keep wanting to make some, but screencasting on Linux is kind of wonky.

Turns out you really can buy close to anything with BTC.
Still a hard thing to trust right now.

Hello there, Bitcoin universe.

I've been very interested in Bitcoins for a while, and I mine for fun...not profit. Mostly here to get technical support, but the limit and everything - you know.
