3  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTS Reddit account on: May 15, 2016, 03:03:10 PM
i dont think 100$ is that absurd, the account probably took a good few years to gain that much Karma.also the large post base makes it far more versatile.

i think a good starting bid would 50$. anything below that just keep the account
Reddit karma has no value, you say that it takes time to gain that much karma but in reality most of the karma on Reddit is gained by reposting old material to default subreddits. Karma has nothing to do with account age, a few good posts could earn an account karma up to the ten thousands. Therefore karma isn't that of an important factor when it comes to Reddit accounts, it comes behind account age and comment volume & quality. And yes, 100$ for a two year old account is absurd.

Then you can just buy day old accoints with no posts or history. This item is not for you. I am looking for a buyer who understands the value of the item.

I am not looking for $100, I am looking for buyers that have common sense.
4  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTS Reddit account on: May 15, 2016, 01:14:15 AM
I have no clue what's it's worth and have no need for it but my bid is $5.
I bet you OP is going to say no, I PMed him and he said that in other forums he saw people bidding on such accounts for 100$, which is absurd.

I didnt say I want $100, I was saying $5 is a joke. At that price I would rather delete the account. This isnt some spam account with 2 comments that someone created in the hundreds, its a legit account.

Again, I am open to serious offers.

to whoever sold 750k UTC, i hope you are happy now

Only two with that amount im aware of is Ultradar or Paul 'the management team' who we never hear from.
Silly move really owning 2% of a coin and selling for pennies! Will regret it in 5 years thats for sure!

Probably it was on of those idiot devs which they are the only responsiblr for thr situation of
Ultracoin which is allready dead and do not expect more in the future from this coin . I still  own 700k and i wont sell until price rise to 0.00006-0.00008

So get ready for a second round .

Ok, Ultradar, lets see a proof of reserve if you will, make a transaction to yourself and let us know the tx#

same for the dev team if they care what anyone thinks

to whoever sold 750k UTC, i hope you are happy now

I think some ppl are in hype of LTC going there, this dump is prolly just for "short" time to ride LTC hype and then short on UTC (if price stay low)
If someone has done this,
today with litecoin probably it became very badly ...

I was laughing at this very thought when i woke up this morning

Maybe the management and miners have a point. Maybe bumface messed up with the schedule. Maybe other people besides us think this. Maybe other people are willing to believe in UTC as well.

Nobody is doing anybody's work, i just said there are miners interested in a stable coin that is also useful.

Do you honestly think a handful of hobbyist miners are going to keep this coin going Huh If you want adoption your going to need new people getting involved

+1

When did I mention hobbyist miners keeping this coin going?
The management mention they don't want to go along with the scheduled roadmap and all the miners come out the woodwork stating they don't want to alter anything as it will affect them, and also low and behold a magically mining team want to invest but only if we stick to the current Nfactor? Just thought it sounded a bit fishy!?

If these professional miners wanted the UTC community to know what they plan why are they sending you in to do their work? . . I'm taking this news with a pinch of salt. I have heard so many promises over the last 18 months I don't believe anything until it is done now.

They have a ton and i mean a ton of hashing power that is no longer cost effective on asic coins, they are going to specialize in asic resistant coins with other attributes like speed or anonymity. I dont think digibyte fits the bill

They have noticed the uptick today too lol

i have joined as an investor into an alt mining interest, i explained to them everything about UTC and they are interested.

If the n factor gets locked at 15 for a year like you guys have been proposing, they will begin mining and are willing to commit btc in staggered purchasing to get volume started. It wont be all in UTC, that will be divided amongst a couple other alts that they think have long term potential.

Some background on them: they are based in Hong Kong and are getting out of a certain big alt due to sinking prices and too much competition/block halving

You guys need to start wooing the larger mining companies to get on board with this.

Aint nobody got time for re-calibrating

I suggest let them knoe about DigiByte. It is one of the best long term coins our there...

DGB will be just amazing in a few months later...

CT shutting down  Sad  Sad  Sad  Sad  Cry  Cry  Cry  Cry

Due to very low volume and lack of good userbase, Crypto-Trade has decided to shutdown permanently due to inability to cover its expenditures on rented servers , staff salary and site promotion. All the users are requested to withdraw their funds within 48 hours. The site will continue to process pending withdrawals till our private wallet is empty. The site will go offline on 29th January 6:00 UTC.

literally no f**ks given, they did this to themselves when they got hacked. UTC put them on the map and they shit the bed while using our blanket

It probably happened when nobody could connect to bitcointalk to ask what happened to their miners, did everybody know about nf15? I know kracko posted it a few days ago..

@Kracko

Is this what happened to the hashrate? NF15 effect?

http://www.coinwarz.com/network-hashrate-charts/ultracoin-network-hashrate-chart

As you are probably aware NFactor 15 is coming soon.  It will happen at approximately Jan 22nd around 8:50am UTC

Keep an eye on the forums for recommended settings for your hardware at the new nFactor once it hits.  We'll all be adjusting.

For nVidia folk using cudaminer, I recommend autotuning using the algorithm of scrypt-jane:15 and -L 4 for a lookup gap of 4.  You may be able to get a better rate at higher lookup gaps, but it will take significantly longer to find the best settings for your card using autotune and the higher gaps tend to cost you more power as the GPU is worked harder to compensate for less memory.  Seems like the powers of 2 work the best for the lookup gap and 4 is about the same as 8 as far as cudaminer at NF14, it's just 8 takes more wattage.  The 970s+ with 4GB of graphics memory may fare better at lower lookup gaps.  Can't hurt to try gaps 2-8 in an autotune.

Yacminer folks may have to redo their settings if they will not work with the NF14 memory requirements.  Experienced ATI folk yacminers or otherwise, please keep an eye on the forum.  You could really help by sharing your expertise and your settings once you've mostly dialed it in after some experimenting.  Fortunately for us our Yacoin brothers have been through this already and it is relatively easy to dig up settings with some Googling.

And please don't get hung up on the lower hashrate; it's going to be lower for everyone else too.  Keep an eye on the your earning rate at the newer level.  The same amount of UTC/hr will be rewarded overall for proof of work, but those with the higher GPU memory sizes (4GB+) will benefit more at the higher nFactors than those with (<=2GB).  And again, higher lookup gaps will add more benefit as the memory requirements go up.

according to coinmarketcap, we have 2btc daily volume across all exchanges. anybody have ideas how we can increase that 5X-7X short of manipulation? Not really sure what another exchange will give us, we are already on some good ones...

The Cahseer app sounds promising though, also new devs

good luck
