1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] How to spot a scammer (Read this before doing any transactions!) on: September 18, 2018, 08:56:14 AM
Hi,
new to this forum and already with a mistake done.
Just wondering what some of you think:
I contacted some guy asking for financial suggestion as he is a financial advisor and after some chat he suggest to invest in BTC instead of currencies.
After a while he propose an investment of couple of thousand dollars to be sent in BTC to an address. I did it and all went ok. The investment was for mining and the daily income was huge, not realistic to me, but I was in already, so nothing could be done.
At the end of the period I should have got back more than 200.000 USD and the period was not even a month.
Issue is that the mining wallet is locked until I pay 10% of the amount earned, which I do not have (20.000 USD) and it seems that nobody can unlock, only me by paying this fee with new BTC from my wallet not with the BTC in the mining wallet.

Happy to hear your comments.
R.
