Ok, so im getting a little enthusiastic about this whole mining thing, haven't made anything off of it, but its fun.. So now im getting a little bored of my 5770's 221MH/s and want to go for quad 6990's. (all in or go home lol)
So ive found several vendors in Indonesia listed on google shopping selling these cards (or at least claiming to) very cheap, almost too cheap..

anyone bought cards from Indonesia? My scam alarm is ringing defcon 1. but its... so.... cheap....  and just maybe its not a scam.. lol
is it even possible to buy a 6990 for $418.00usd? or am i smoking too much of BC's chief agricultural export...

advise?

how about simply printing out the .dat file and storing it in a fireproof safe. at least then its long term safe storage of your wallet.
3. Tell this to a noobie and he will end up with a sheet of paper with the word "wallet.dat" printed on it. And he will then complain loudly to you if it doesn't allow him to access his bitcoins Smiley

LOL! good point..

There once was a kid named bright, who's car went much faster than light. he sped of one day in a relitive way, and returned the previous night.

If your jumpy about it perhaps thats your own voice telling you that your over exposed. know your limits, play within it. Really you have to treat it as cash. its fiat currency, not backed by anything but trust in a trust web that is only a year old? (correct me if im wrong i have no idea)
Bitcoin and physical coins suffer the same vulnerability, save perhaps forging. you can send bitcoins to a buyer, it can get lost. you send cash in the mail, it can get lost. same poison, different bottles.

people have to get their brain around the face its a COIN. its not a t-bill, its not a CD, its not a stock, its a coin! and worse, one that can be stolen from a number of vectors.
