I've been putting some hashes towards Klondikecoin, Karmacoin and Potcoin, but I feel that most pre-exchange coins (I class any coin not on Cryptsy as pre-exchange) are a big gamble... Dogecoin has been the most consistent for me in recent times but it's profitability is being challenged by the new wave of coins recently released.

Major drop in difficulty is imminent so expect another big influx of miners! Hopefully mo miners does not equal mo problems    At least it's getting attention...

Another one bites the dust! Not exactly a pump and dump, seeing as it didn't really move any big numbers, but certainly seems to be a stagnant coin. Hopefully we'll see a resurgence at some point, although I'm not holding my breath on that... I'm guessing it was too much work for the dev to keep up with.

This seemed like a scam from the get go. First thing I say about UTC was when someone posted a thread on reddit looking to rent mining hardware because he had access to the Ultracoin premine. It was sketchy to say the least, and I hope that nobody fell for it. Even if he was just looking to scam people, and was completely unrelated to the coin itself, it left a sour taste in my mouth.

Doge doesn't seem to abide by the rules of the average cryptocoin. The more it goes against the grain, the more its been working for it... With that being said, unless it keeps reinventing itself, and continues to make mainstream news breakthroughs (Bobsled fundraiser), I can't see the future looking to promising. I don't think the endless supply will be the death of Doge, but I think the novelty will wear off eventually.

The community behind it has the similar mindset to doge, but without the gimmick of broken English (for the most part!). Once the doge meme becomes tiresome, people will be looking for alternatives and I think Moon could fill that void. The fact that it's so cheap right now is also great for newcomers.
