They said it was maxcoin-cpuminer compiled for Windows. I laughed but then people were saying it was working so I tested it out in a VM and it looks legit. I ran it like this:

minerd.exe --algo=keccak --benchmark

and it was getting about 1100 kh/s on my Windows 7 64 bit VM with 1 virtual cpu.

liar.

Why's he a liar?  I compiled from source optimized for AVX and get 900 kh/sec per core - it will never find anything, but it's still representative of what it will do against a wallet or pool.

I must be a liar too.

What wallet did you test it with?

I didn't use a wallet, I just used the benchmark option.

I just uploaded the minderd.exe to virustotal: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/d9e22ef66d35bc7a1bd9b03263ab2f18c2f359bcf502c3071a2bb58da677020d/analysis/1391660585/

It has a few bitcoin miner results but nothing that looks bad. Is anyone able to test it for malware or viruses some other way?
