8  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: A Non-Custodial wallet, Atomic Wallet, being compromised on: June 29, 2023, 05:40:28 AM
I own 12 coins (BTC - ETH - XRP - ADA - SOL - DOT - LTC - MATIC - BCH - AVAX - XLM - DASH)

in 2 Guarda wallets (one of them is on Win 10 PC and the other is on a Linux Mint PC) and Exodus wallet (on Samsung Android V.13)

After reading this thread I decided to remove all of my coins from Guarda & Exodus

What is the best choice for me? and Why?

+ Thanks in advance and to anyone who contributed in this thread.

The title says everything.

- I'm sorry to say it, but you've to suffer for a year or two to find something promising.
- Such as ..... no one is going to give it to you.
- A billion people like you out there, looking for the exact same thing that you want. Then it becomes a question, Why you!?
- Reading, searching, trying and failing. With these steps, you'll find the gold buried very very deep under the dirt.

14  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: BTC transfer sent to Electrum wallet never arrived but it says it was delivered on: May 30, 2019, 02:34:44 AM

Any ideas where the coins went or how to get access to them?

Thanks

- If you don't use Electrum wallet regularly, make sure that you are using the latest version by visiting their website before sending/receiving tx:-
https://electrum.org/#download

- And if you have their latest version, learn how to verify it first before using it:-

15  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Why hasn't any government stopped Bitcoin? on: May 08, 2019, 03:33:31 PM
At the early stages Russia ruled it as illegal, China outlawed all withdrawals and some other country also spoke against it. But now everything seem to be smoothing up at least on the government side. Surely Bitcoin must be seen as challenging their authority. Is there something I am failing to see? All it would take is a 51% attack or a new law.

- its unstoppable, you need to kill every programmer who saw BTC source code!
16  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum under Siege by Bots, again!! on: May 01, 2019, 05:47:23 AM
- I think Electrum was under attack, cause it is one of the best wallet out there. It attract users and so are thieves.

- Any wallet/exchange could suffer from such an attack, the standard here is your knowledge, if you're educated enough you wouldn't lose a single satoshi.
17  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 3.3.4 wrong version? on: May 01, 2019, 05:33:38 AM
Uses  Electrum 3.3.4 version But today I'm unable to use my antivirus problem detect the unwanted file when I click 'Clean' Electrum automatically removed. how to solved it?

- Ignore this message & in the future add electrum to the anti virus' white list.

- The most important next step is to learn how to verify before installation:-

18  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Problem importing private keys in Electrum on: April 29, 2019, 12:08:13 AM
I generated private keys from 24-word seed + password by
https://iancoleman.io/bip39/
and choose BIP49 derivation path

Second derived address exactly match my address with balance and starts with "3"

I copy corresponding private key and import this private key in Electrum.

And I see zero balance.
In "Recieving address"  i see different address starting with "1FGqV"

So, Electrum imported completely different address.

Asking for support on issue.

- If your address starting with "1" then your derivation path will be m/44'/0'/0'

- If your address starting with "3" then your derivation path will be m/49'/0'/0'

- If your address starting with "bc1" then your derivation path will be m/84'/0'/0'

+ Try them and tell us.

[Suspicious link removed]j.com/articles/bitfinex-used-tether-reserves-to-mask-missing-850-million-probe-finds-11556227031

A cryptocurrency exchange that claims real dollars back its popular digital coin Tether raided those reserves to cover up $850 million that went missing, the New York Attorney General’s office said Thursday.

State Attorney General Letitia James said Hong Kong-based iFinex Inc., which operates the Bitfinex cryptocurrency exchange and owns Tether Ltd., has been commingling client and corporate funds to cover up the missing funds, which occurred in mid-2018 and hadn’t been disclosed publicly.

...

Fuck. When everything seemed to be getting better. Tether is always a ghost under the bed...

- its very good news, cause i'm buying BTC next week.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin went from $5420 to $5117 in 2 minutes! Bubble? on: April 26, 2019, 12:00:26 AM
Is the crypto bubble finally coming to a end? Why and HOW is it possible for bitcoin to dump that much that fast? Is bitcoin controlled by 1 entity and will that entity dump bitcoin to $100 one day?

- Indeed, it is a very good buying opportunity.
