Being woken up every couple hours through the night by my newborn son isn't so bad now that it also gives me an excuse to check up on mintpal's voting and contribute. Keep it up guys, we're moving up quick! Vote here if you aren't already: https://www.mintpal.com/votingJust set up a macro scheduled to execute every 61 minutes. Seriously man, I would think by now people would learn to use the thousands of existing software to their advantage.

Oh so it must be always running? I didn't realize that. Also does the wallet have to be encrypted?

can someone explain to me what exactly I need to do in my wallet so it starts staking? I had money in there for a week or so, the wallet is encrypted and unlocked, but everytime the client is closed it locks itself back up again and I don't see any interest or anything. I'm not entirely sure how this thing works so please help me out here.

This pool is pretty great, has some non-standard features and a great UI. He has a cool concept where he hands out coupons for 0% fees, there is still about 4 left. I swear I'm not the operator or his friend, but I do think we deserve a better hash-rate. Currently it's at 22 mHash Check it out https://www.minep.it/pool/surge/

wow one guy has almost half the network with 116mh/s. Who says asics aren't out yet!
Nobody. It's common knowledge that ASIC's are here in full power. Look up gridseed.

stop crying and come back on block 500. or don't. It's that simple. god this fucking forum is nothing but crybabies and pool spammers.

I'm sure you also have 50 different accounts to promote your own pool.

I am using gridseed with rasberry pi preloaded with some miner which I don't even know what it is. And yes, I only can use stratum protocol on it.
Then the stratum mining proxy is what you need. You'll want to set up the linux wallet on your pi, set it up as a server in your configuration file, set up the mining proxy, then configure your miner with your mining proxy. If you don't know how to do this, join here and I can help you better: https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net/#cganomalyI am mining into a wallet on another computer which uses windows. I really don't want to touch ras pi it's too much work, and it's not my only miner so I want to be able to effortlessly change coins without installing a wallet on each miner. So can you still do this and mine to another computer without touching the miner?

Hey guys, does anybody here operate a p2p pool? I'm trying to set up a pool just for myself, and the versions I found don't support this coin. Do you somehow modify the source for it to support this coin? I haven't been able to figure this out.
Download the normal p2pool software, then get the patch from the bottom of this page and use it to patch the pool software: http://cryptographicanomaly.p2p.0x0a.nl:23932/static/How do you apply this patch? Sorry I'm a bit of a noob in this. I'm doing this in Win 7 btw. Before I tell you how, why are you setting up a pool just for yourself? If you want to solo mine, say so and we'll tell you how, because P2Pool won't really help you solo mining at all. Yes, the only reason I'm setting up a pool is because I can't mine solo with asic, it can only use stratum connection. OK, what you want to do is get the Stratum mining proxy from here: https://mining.bitcoin.cz/mining-proxy-howtoand then run it with --help in a command line (cmd). There's an option to connect to your own wallet. The stratum mining proxy is to convert the http:// protocol into stratum which is the opposite of what I need. Am I wrong?
