Hi guys, trying to follow the throne setup guide on the website but having a few issues. Everything seems fine until the following step: ./autogen.sh && ./configure && sudo make install -j 2 results in the following: main.cpp: In function ‘bool ProcessMessage(CNode*, std::__cxx11::string, CDataStream&)’: main.cpp:3967:13: error: ‘nHeight’ was not declared in this scope if (nHeight > 1040000 && pfrom->nVersion < MIN_PEER_PROTO_VERSION) ^ Makefile:886: recipe for target 'main.o' failed make[2]: *** [main.o] Error 1 make[2]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... make[2]: Leaving directory '/root/src/crowncoin/src' Makefile:908: recipe for target 'install-recursive' failed make[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory '/root/src/crowncoin/src' Makefile:509: recipe for target 'install-recursive' failed make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1 Dunno if this is the cause but then when I get to ./crowncoind in the VPS6 section, it says no such file or directory. Help appreciated! I've repeated all steps several times but always with the same result. Where did you download this version of the wallet from? I'm getting the same error. I cloned the git repository and the error occurs when compiling on Linux. I'm using Berkeley DB 5.3 instead of 4.8 on Debian 8, but I'm fairly sure that is not the problem. It looks like the error could somehow be related to the last commit: https://github.com/Crowndev/crowncoin/commit/03c3669604dcba0751ff138bbeb9095182a89f21, the error message seems to refer to the block height. That said, I don't know if previous version compiled properly. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I see I'm not the only one having this problem.

Thx for answering! As for transactions it matters when it appears on BTC blockchain. Is the "when it appears in the blockchain" ie transaction time the time you can see in the red circle in the following screenshot? Is then the transaction time the "creation time" in the control panel? Because they are the same! Where is otherwise this "transaction time" visible in blockchain.info? Thank you Unconfirmed transaction on BTC blockchain. If I'm correct it should be final now, not? We have had 2 confirmations after ico end. The last few blocks have been full though. Maybe after the next two blocks that are not completely full all funds sent will have two confirmations. I'm not sure about zero-fee transactions.

Thanks for the reminder! I had been planning on signing up to Stack Exchange and following Dash but hadn't got around to it until just now. I've ended up on Stack Exchange sites many times when looking for answers, getting Dash on there would be great! edit: I've just seen the page number - very close to 6000 pages!

How does it come that Chinese miners are mining for free?
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/43opxy/does_anyone_know_what_the_chinese_miners_are/According to Charlie Lee, a large number of Chinese miners have zero cost for electricity. Instead, they have entered into profit-sharing agreements with the small, mostly hydro-based providers. The percentage was, of course, not revealed. A situation like that allows for infinite scaling, up or down, to the capacity of the provider and makes it virtually impossible for anyone anywhere else to compete for hashpower. It's not something that I'll personally be negotiating this week, but surely it's not totally inconceivable for some entities outside of China to enter into profit-sharing agreements with hydro-based providers

Should you have any suggestions, feel free to drop us your thoughts by replying to this thread or sending us an email at ixslot@gmail.com.
The line of text under the jackpot box says " You have a 0 % chance to win!". I'm not sure exactly what is meant by that, but it doesn't exactly fill me with confidence about my chances of winning. Does it just refer to the jackpot? How do I increase my chances from 0%?

your images are HUGE! You might want to make them a bit smaller for ease of use??? Yeah, I just saw that. Anybody have any ideas on how to do that? reseize image before you post on imgur or select small thumbnail in imgur Fixed. Thanks for the RTs, bro, great comments on the video so far... Yah, It would be nice if we could just do or some such, eh? Like this? Here is the code used for the images above:

I forked a bitcoin QR code generator a while ago and modified it for Dash. It now has a dedicated domain name ( https://dashqr.org/) and I finally got around to uploading the site and getting an SSL certificate for the new domain yesterday. Everything seems to be working as it should, hopefully it can be of use to some of you. Donations are most welcome, the address can be found on the site. Looks great. Just a suggestion...Maybe you can add the amount, label, and message fields similar to how the wallet does it. When I chose which QR code generator to fork, I did play around with another bitcoin one which offered those features. However, if memory serves me correctly, I couldn't get it to work without filling in all of the fields, which I didn't want. I'm not much of a coder though, so the fix may be something trivial. I might have a look at it again over the next few days, though if I don't get around to it, I probably won't have a chance for a while.

I suppose the Cryptsy links aren't very useful anymore

But for the point I am making coins are created by the US mint without a debt obligation to the fed.
Is there a good reason for this? I imagine it's not because the Fed just refuses to work with chump change.

I think you're right about the facebook terminology though. Instead of "friends" maybe we should use "contacts" or "connections" or some such The correct term is "payees". They are neither contacts nor friends. Unless the wallet is trying to re-invent itself as a social media tool (which is what I'm saying is the huge banana skin to be avoided) then that list represents aliases for payment addresses. They might be anyone from enemies to gas companies to retailers or charities but 'Payees' describes the common role that that entity has in the tool. Anything else pre-supposes the nature of the relationship and is ambiguous. A CRM tool would use terminology such as "contacts" because that is unambiguously the nature of the tool. Likeways, a social media system would label them "friends". I know "Payees" sounds boring but boring is good in system design if it more correctly defines the role than anything else (which in this case it does ). Well, they could be payers as well, LOL. Oh, and regarding "chat" (or I prefer messaging), I can see it being used, especially in partner situations, for discussing and coordinating payments among other things, and if it can be a tunneled, encrypted connection that is never recorded by a 3rd party, it could be a great tool, only face to face would be better! I prefer "messaging" too. A chat client can be particularly useful if the network of users is significant but I can't see it becoming the latest and greatest chat client (nor should it try to), however, the ability to shoot off a quick message related to a payment I think could be beneficial. I'm not too keen on the "friends" label, unless maybe it were possible to split the contacts into groups of "friends", "family", "colleagues" etc, but that would potentially begin to clutter the interface fairly quickly. I don't think using "contacts" instead of "friends" on the tab would be so bad. I'm sure most people have some "contacts" on their phone that are not really contacts in the traditional sense. My mobile network provides a few numbers for me on their sim card, and despite the fact that Suzy from customer service is no contact of mine she appears in the contacts list without causing too much offence. It would be nice to have a search bar to type in the first few letters of a name and for the names to be filtered accordingly.

i think all the trolling and thread bumping is having an affect on the price. thanks guy's, keep it up Price Recap:The price of Dash was near the white line when I first started posting in this thread and let's review what has happened since: Would you say that you use BTC or fiat currencies for your day to day transactions? Do you think that most other cryptocurrency investors use BTC or fiat currencies more for their day to day transactions? Do you think that most of the these investors are paid in BTC or fiat currencies? Given realisitic answers to the questions above, could you honestly say the DASH/BTC price is more important than DASH to fiat eg. DASH/USD?

I just noticed something that made me LOL. On Poloniex, every time there are buys, there is a bot that sells a tiny amount of Dash. There is a purpose to this, to make Dash appear constantly red when viewed on sites like crypto wat.ch. It's like clockwork. Amazing. I also noticed that, sometimes ago. Always a smal sell on the top buy order after a buy. If you're interested in accumulating Dash, setting up a bot to do that might work in your favour. How would that work in your favour? (Serious question) If red is always seen when looking at the chart, it might be possible to convince some Dash holders who are noobie traders to dump into the buy orders you have set. This way you could potentially accumulate Dash at a lower price compared to eating up Dash sell orders on the books.

The masternode count is on the rise again, it looks like we might see a new record this week! Are we going to need a bigger chart soon?

I'd just like to point out to the trolls that Darksend Mixing is a passive process. To be fair, it is necessary to press the "Start Darksend Mixing" button and to enter your password if you have one, but after that it isn't necessary to participate actively in the mixing process - you can get straight back to trolling while the mixing takes place, if you think that is a productive way to spend your time.
depends of how you define passive... You still need to have others on the network who are willing to mix with you (hence the liquidity providers). This mixing can't be done offline for example. You need to have an active wallet connected to the network. edit: what if I told you there are coins out there that have a feature you could define with the buzz word "InstantMixSend" : You instantly mix when you broadcast the transaction. No need for a "dark liquidity pool" in your wallet. To the individual who is in no hurry, mixing is passive. If there were not enough parties for the mixing to take place, it might be possible to take a more hands-on approach using 2 clients from separate IP addresses in order to speed up the process and practically guarantee that the mixing cannot be deanonymized, due to the fact that for many (or even all) of the rounds of Darksend mixing the user made up for 2 of the 3 clients being used in the mixing process. I know that Dash hasn't reached the definitive solution in terms of anonymizing funds but I think that for most people it's more than adequate at this stage. I couldn't give two hoots about buzzwords or marketingspeak, I don't even particularly like the name "Darksend". Regardless, I don't think a privacy-oriented cryptocurrency with on-chain anonymization is the best answer either, it doesn't seem future proof to me at all. Even if I did think it were the best solution, I wouldn't know which CryptoNote coin to go for. The original, Bytecoin, is out of the equation for the massive hidden premine, and then there are the clones. It would take a hell of a lot of convincing to get me to buy any Monero again (I have held some at times in the past) due to the relentless smear campaign in this thread by what would appear to be an organized group or groups. I'm sure there are also posts from individuals with criticisms who not affiliated with any group, but there is no doubt in my mind that there is an organized campaign against Dash from an unscrupulous group of individuals somehow related to Monero. If I ever change my mind about on-chain anonymization, I will be sure to have a good look at the other Bytecoin clones first. Dash for me is not just about privacy - although it did start off that way - but also about the solutions that it has brought to some of the problems Bitcoin faces. Fungibility, incentivised nodes, instant transactions and decentralized voting to me are all improvements to what is available in Bitcoin right now, whether their implementation in Dash is the best possible implementation or not. I see a lot of potential in the 2 tier system and I'm excited what Dash Evolution could offer in the future but I also think in terms of what is offered right now in the altcoin world, Dash is tough to beat.

Only idiots connect ISIS with Bitcoin. They would get caught asap if they do, Bitcoin is only pseudo anonymous so secret services would have easy job to track their transactions.
Exactly, I am glad that all of this is unfolding in this direction. Another great article to shatter a connection of Bitcoin with these animals! Let's see what the governments will do right now. Will they cancel the restrictions regarding Bitcoin they had in plan? Nope. Will they introduce new policies to make it harder to sell and buy physical gold? Nope. They will do everything to push Bitcoin back to prevent it from growing. They will simply fail. Bitcoin will grow no matter what. There's no doubt in my mind that ultimate goal is to get rid of all non-fiat currencies, in order to be able to impose negative interest rates effectively.

Geez, I went back to work only to come back on break and find no PMs displayed that will leave the Dash project in ruins?
Slow trolls. I'll come back later.
You don't rush an exquisite Tantric fucking like this; such a cherished rare event is meant to be savored over the due course of time. Expect more of Vertoe's incriminating PMs to be released 1 hour before Evan Madoffield's "presentation" begins. Every time he pumps his scam in public, more damning PMs will be disclosed. #DashDC #Evolution #MexicoDF @CryptoArmada @AnonUpdatesNews @dailydecrypt @Dashpay @TaoOfSatoshi @laBITconf Are you implying that you are somehow related to the hacking or purchase of vertoe's bitcointalk account?
