1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Would you consider a painting "art" if it's made by an AI? on: October 23, 2018, 07:27:57 PM
By definition it is art. Digital art?
In a way it was made by humans, so it is human creativity that brought it to life. Somebody had to program the AI and make a mechanical drawing table that it can use. The image wasn't printed but painted, am I right? If we could go back to the ancient times an find someone carving hieroglyphs in stone, he'd probably call it art. But if we took out a spray can and painted a graffiti nearby, he'd laugh at it and call it a meaningless blob. Times change.
In ancient times, humans were carving hieroglyphs, humans now use a spray can and paint graffiti. This one is an AI. Although beautiful in some way, this one in the news was made by a machine... no imagination, just numbers...

On the other hand, you could say, that AI painted picture can be considered an "Art", because that AI was, at some point, created by a man, which had his own objective views on the subject.
2  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is global warming a scam? on: October 23, 2018, 07:04:18 PM
Global warming is definitely happening and it is not a scam. If you go and read up about global warming, it is indeed happening now and it will become more serious as time goes by. In years to come, there most likely will not have North and South Pole anymore.

Yes, you are right, actually. We might not see the consequence of mass industrialization, but poles have had drastic loss of mass of ice in a recent decade. It's googled very easily.

Got tokens today for participating in social networks, everything is fine, the team is working on the project and it's good to be displayed
What do you plan to add a token?

Shame i'm late on ICO distribution. It's nice to see company that actually delivers their promises, and not scamming people. The possible implementations are great; and with possibility to make some cash, while doing the thing you like to do (sailing in such case), makes this App really appealing.

From the first glance BP looks like a simple navigator. What`s the key difference from the other products present in the market?

As i understood, you could get their Token from visiting "marinas", and then selling them.
5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: No religion can save us? on: October 10, 2018, 10:40:27 PM
Religion does not really save someone. It is having faith in what you believe in that can really save you

And again save you from what? Death?

Remember that Death is inevitable, what happens after that? Nothing.

As people say, no one really fear death, they fear the unknown. Religion is a thing from past, that people just can't get rid of. Even if you look at Christianity now, you'd think they would be very heretical in the eyes of medieval (renaissance even) Christians. It's evolving to be more pleasing to the mind of people, but still, do we really need it? We are rather abundant for mind distractions now, in my opinion, and religion is just one of the many.

Did anyone have such a thing that you constantly feel tired, do not want to do anything? I always have this. I do not know what to do. My health is fine, i think. Who has ideas?

Some days i do feel this way. Such is our life today. You have to work hard to live good, and this pressure everyone too much, in my opinion. Best is not to over extend yourself, else you mind just mentally break.

BTW, tokens are also important part of the project. How can I get them now?

Mate, it`s all in the White Paper: TGE ended in April 2018, now you can buy some NAVY at the exchanges.

Ok then, next question: is anybody trading NAVY? How is it doing on the market?

As far as i can tell, it has some average activity on market.
8  Other / Off-topic / Re: Merit on off-topic forum on: October 09, 2018, 08:32:24 PM
Getting merit this days looks tideous. expecially now that it is needed to move to the next level. we must work harder now. i think the situation on ground is for people to know exactly what the cryptocurrency is all about not just commenting nonsense just to get the junior level.

Why do everyone so concerned about merit system though? It's not like you can't read some threads you're not allowed to post to. IMO just go by the flow, be honest with people, and make your words count, that way you'll get trusted and respected (and in forms of merit too).
9  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia is the most aggressive country on: October 09, 2018, 07:29:42 PM
Wouldn't Germany be most aggressive country then? Even going at such lengths as attacking an ally, while having 3-front war already. That's what i would call excessive aggressiveness. Sure, some might say that USSR was preparing their own attack on western front, if Germany didn't strike first, but as I've read from historic documents, many Hitler's advisers advised him not to attack USSR in current circumstances. Yet, he was such an aggressive dude, that he could resist the urge to strike, and he did, and the history went as we know it. Nowadays Russia's aggressive posture is nothing more than a bravado really. There isn't any wars that happen on a global scale, and the one war that is happening, is economic one, and Russia's currently losing it.

Have you actually read the white-paper of Bitcoin?  Cheesy If not, why have you not done it already?

Yes I actually did. Didn't find anything new tbh, everything I've seen and read already pretty much summaries my reading. But still, for one that really believes himself good crypto-investor it's a must-read.

Until there isn't any rules regarding how long you can just fight in parter, Khabib just might be unbeatable. And i think, that they should regulate it somehow, that fight was hella boring to watch.

Ladies would be bit more entertaining  Wink
That night the most interesting part started after the fight has ended  Shocked

Yeah, but i'm more of a sports fan, not the show-off drama. So that which happened afterwards really pissed me off mostly.
12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: No religion can save us? on: October 08, 2018, 09:43:40 PM
Is it true that there's no religion could save us?

Why do you need saving from something for? The only one, that could reliably save you, is yourself. Religion is the opium for masses, as one famous communist said once. And while i'm not for his methods entirely, i must agree to that sentence.

Who has already used? Share your impressions Huh
I'm just looking for a new navigation app. I wonder what it is based on the block chain Roll Eyes

Installed it on my phone today, UI is very convenient - I like filter buttons. The only concern is that my phone`s screen is too small, it will look much better on a tablet.

I'm guessing they aim at high-end phone users, IMO. On iPhone8 app looks really cool.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Money vs Barter on: October 08, 2018, 09:09:24 PM
Money is one of the important concepts, This section talks about money from the perspective of microeconomics.when people exchange goods and services without using money, this is called barter. "I'll cook dinner if you'll do the dishes" is an example of barter. Imagine an economy in wich i can sell services as a consultant to banks, but what i want is to buy a new suit. the clothing store that sell suits does not have any use for my services as a banking consultant. i sell consulting services for money, and i buy a suit using money. money serves as a medium of exchange. the bank does not sell suits. how can barter work?

There is a reason a barter is really inconvenient for our current times. First of all, not every and all goods are available at the market at the given time, so you may just be sitting with your, say, "furs", if you want to trade them for "lumber", but "lumber" trader wants some "spices". That's for a simplest example.
Another thing is the prices isn't really fixed, in barter system. Everyone just make up their own prices, and that makes overall market chaotic.

16  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are terrorists only muslim in religion? on: October 08, 2018, 07:18:31 PM
The stereotypical image of a terrorist is usually a muslim, but terrorists are everywhere. They're people who are willing to act on violent ideas. Racist US cops, bullied kids who shoot up their high school (making bullies indirect causes of "terrorists"). Everyone has their breaking point and some are more naturally inclined to solve their problems with violence, causing death to the innocent. Education, culture and surrounding plays a huge part in this. Terrorists are simply products of their environment.

I bet there`s a difference between terrorists and people having breaking point. Terrorist is someone using violence and intimidation aimed at common civilians to pursuit his political agenda.
Thus, terrorism is not limited to muslims - someone mentioned Breivik in neighboring topic. He is a true terrorist, he even had a 1500 page manifesto describing his standpoint.

But still, is the person at the breaking point causing much damage and terror shouldn't be called a terrorist? Does the cause justify the means?
17  Other / Off-topic / Re: does money influence the health of a person on: October 08, 2018, 06:42:24 PM
Hi, I think rich people have worse health due to more nervous work or doing business.
Yet, nowadays, most of the rich people live to see the elder age. Except those, of course, that ruin their life with alcohol and drugs. But even those can afford pretty expensive healthcare, should they need it.
