1  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 4.2.0: modular ASIC+FPGA, GBT+Strtm, RPC, Mac/Lnx/W64, RockMiner R-BOX on: June 25, 2014, 01:13:57 PM
BUMP!

Just noticed I wasn't hashing for a couple hours because the failover wont go back to pool 0 and hash correctly. PLEASE FIX ASAP

Hey folks!

I'm bumping this because it's still a problem.  Can someone please give me a hand in fixing this?  Thanks!

I'm having a problem with bfgminer (both the new 4.2.0 version and the 4.1.99 jstefanop fork) with failover for both gridseed and zeus (GAWMiner fury) rigs.  Because it's happening with both versions I'm sure it's something dumb. so I thought I'd seek help here.

What's happening is that failover works going from pool 1 to pool 0 when pool 0 becomes active, but it doesn't work when pool 0 goes dead.  Bfgminer reports that it has switched back to pool 1 but the pool doesn't show any hashrate.  As well, my external monitor (CgminerMonitor version 0.7.0) shows the rig as still connected to pool 0.  Finally, I'm getting the following messages displayed in bfgminer:

Code:
[2014-06-16 19:26:49] Pool 0 slow/down or URL or credentials invalid
[2014-06-16 19:27:02] Network difficulty changed to 792 ( 5.68G)

When it's doing this, it sometimes changes the network difficulty several times, then give the "pool 0 slow/down" message again, but it's not accepting shares.

Here's how I'm running bfgminer for the furys:

/root/bfgminer/bfgminer --scrypt -S zeus:/dev/ttyUSB0 --nocheck-golden --chips-count 6 --ltc-clk 328 --config=/opt/cgminer/cgminer_conf/cgminer-ttyUSB0.conf

and here's the config file:

Code:
{
"pools" : [
        {
                "url" : "stratum+tcp://r6284.g21.rigs.eu.betarigs.com:9116",

                "user" : "corion49.USB0",
                "pass" : "x"
        }
]

"cmd-dead" : "pkill -9 bfgminer0",
"gridseed-options" : "baud=115200,freq=838,chips=40,modules=1,usefifo=0"
}

Can anyone see any errors in this or offer any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Thanks!

Regards,

Chris

I'm actually having the exact same issue and trying to figure out what the problem is...

Zenminer grabs an IP address, but won't start hashing. What troubleshooting steps do I take?

Gaw, can you look into my recent orders and provide a tracking number for my Week 1 Fury's? Called and opened a ticket, but no answer yet what is going on.

ORDER #5812 & #6252

Thanks,
Rob

FYI - ROI is very hard not a days since every month someone drops the price 50% of your miner or add double hash power for the same price. When that happens is coinwarz.com number you thought you make every day is also cut it half. Day trading is the only way to get ROI if you know what you are doing. You can triple up on some good coins. BC, DRK, CINNI, etc.

Just got my .41 BTC from Rami this morning for double hash promo! Thanks again!

11  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: HASHRA CONTROLA FIRMWARE FOR GRIDSEED MINERS INCLUDING "BLADE" on: April 25, 2014, 11:17:31 AM
Can you please add 838freq? This is the most stable freq for blades has 800 is too slow and 850 causes too many hw errors.

Anyone able to get cgminer to work with blades on windows to detect all of them every time?  Plug in  one by one trick doesnt always work

Can you upload a mirror link? The dropbox one is restricted  downloading at 125KB/s

Can someone compile me a windows version of https://github.com/jmordica/cgminer-gc3355 to test?

Sandor111, can you recompile me a version which allows 838 freq for my blades? Right now it only accepts 825 and 850. I turned off autotune.

cpuminer crashes with this .bat file, I click okay on error then it works. Is that because this won't work with betarigs since it doesn't keep checking that pool to use?

Thanks! Any Raspberry images have this latest compiled version or is there a way to make Hashra or Scripta use cpuminer?

Is there an updated BFGMiner which works with Gridseed Blades that produces the correct hash power of the blades?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed 5-Chip USB & Blade Miner Support/Tuning on: April 22, 2014, 05:11:34 PM
I have 4 blades, how do I setup with cpuminer? Can you link me compiled windows version and what to put for blades to work? LTC mode only and freq838. Is it possible to put cpuminer in a raspberry image? like scripta or hashra?
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed Blade (80 Chip) Miner Support/Tuning on: April 22, 2014, 05:01:05 PM
Seems Scripta (scripta-20140408.img.gz mox235 version) image for Rasberry Pi is not hashing stable and swings from 17Mh to 20Mh/s for my 4 Gridseed Blades. If I just use cgminer (http://cryptomining-blog.com/1990-updated-cgminer-3-7-2-with-support-for-gridseed-5-chip-and-80-chip-gc3355-asics/) on windows it will get a stable 22Mh/s, but the only problem is my gridseed blades doesn't always show up even when you unplug and replug in after started and using hotplug=5 or 10.

Using https://github.com/mox235/scripta (scripta-20140408.img.gz)   posted a new version and will test tonight, but bfgminer doesn't produce the same hash power as cgminer on miner or pool side. I can only get 14-16Mh/s with bfgminer.

Hashra 1.4 Image  (just released)  locks you to 800freq or 850freq which isn't good because 838freq is the sweet spot for blades to produce low hw errors. Yes I know a blade version will be released, but I need a solution today.

Only way to get cgminer to detect devices is update driver one by one to the STelectronic driver one then use zadig select device one by one to update WinUSB driver after starting cgminer. Once you close you need to revert the driver back to STelectronic and use WinUSB all over again which is crazy! Any tricks to have cgminer find the devices every time with no issues?

https://github.com/jmordica/cgminer-gc3355 seems to have it stable and doesn't have any issues?? (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=571255.0) but I don't know how to compile it for windows or update a raspberry image with his version, if it is stable??

Any feedback would greatly be appreciated!

Thanks,
Rob
