Congratulations on launching a zero-premine coin on an algo that really needs one. It's a tragedy that these ASICs suddenly become eco-waste, and at the same time, I think devs have a responsibility to consider the environment when launching a new coin.
Ironically, one of the most eco-friendliest choices is to revive an otherwise useless ASIC (these things are legit hazardous waste), so giving them more life is a good thing. Plus Blake 2b is efficient.
Thank you for the kind words.
Yes, Cash2 does not have a premine. The Cash2 genesis block contains a message "Bitcoin block 552632 hash 00000000000000000006a4f3a1ffbf0872ab0bd0ac69453f596bb18de750d9b1" written in hexidecimal. This Bitcoin block was mined about 3 hours before Cash2 launched on December 5, 2018 at 9:00 am EST, and it took us all 3 hours to get everything set up for launch.
Blake2b is great because it is a very fast algorithm, and it allows us to have 9 second block times. We started using Blake2b back in July of 2018, and we did not know that the Antminer A3 would later be abandoned. After we found out, we felt a responsibility to help miners who purchased the Antminer A3 to regain their initial investments.
We also encourage the preservation of our environment. Any help we can provide to make the world cleaner and safer we will gladly do. Cash2 is about improving the lives of the generations that come after us as well. Thank you again papacabeza.
