If you received a 1.2TH or under, it's hardly worth the added power consumption. Just a heads up.
2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: August 21, 2014, 01:42:15 AM
I received my 1.2TH model last week. I was advised that once a lawsuit with a part manufacturer is over, that I am able to get a refund. When should I return the hardware? Also how should I return it, and to where?

Thank you

My questions always seem to be avoided. So I ask again; can I get a refund? I did ask for one a good while back. So, is that possible?

Yes you can still get a refund after the suit with IMET is finished. Please email sales@advancedminers.com with your order number and tracking number thanks.

I do not have a tracking number, as I was never given one. Do you mean the tracking number for the return shipment?

AMT_Miners:

I received my 1.2TH unit yesterday. I highly commend your efforts to follow through with production and shipment. However, I was wondering if I am able to receive a refund? Looking back, I should have declined the package and saved myself the shipping fees and potential disqualification for a refund. But I am just wondering if that is possible.

Thanks.

I have been present and relatively active throughout this whole process since I ordered in early December. It would seem the only way to get any answers or responses is to be rude and obnoxious. I am well beyond being upset, annoyed, frustrated, or anything of the sort. I have accepted the loss of my $7000+ investment, and am working on improving other areas of my life. I check back relatively often to politely, respectfully; acknowledge the absence of a resolution for my order and request a simple status update. My suggestion to everyone else would be to do something similar.

Whether we like it or not, our money is gone. Obviously bringing negative attention to the situation and making the unpleasant state of affairs into a bigger part of all of our lives; is not accomplishing that which we desire (a resolution, shipment, or refund). Of course everyone may do as they please, but I would suggest to all that we collectively do what I personally have done for myself; accept the situation as it is. The past events of this situation have been unpleasant for many of us, but they cannot be changed. I would say let it go. You cannot advance to the next chapter in life if you continue to re-read the last one.

Focusing so much attention on what went wrong, what could have been, etc. does no good for anyone. We all get it. Mistakes were made by investors and investees alike. End of story. Why make it a bigger part of your life than it has to be? We cannot assume to plan our lives over our prediction of the future. If me or anyone thinks they did a bad job handling business, and that we are never going to get adequate compensation for our investment, what good does it do to constantly remind us of it? I am certain we are all aware of our financial deficit. My poor decisions regarding my investment have cost me a stable home, my former job which I had to leave when I had to move, a car which I could not afford to fix due to this investment, etc.

Believe me, I am fully aware of my failed investment. But instead of harassing myself (because harassing others about your own loss is essentially harassing yourself), I figured out a living situation. Instead of complaining and victimizing myself, I secured new employment. Instead of blowing it up and remind everyone who already knows that the less-than-great decisions we made led to negative consequences; I acquired reliable transportation again. Am I happy that I no longer have the luxuries that I once did? In a way, sort of because it has improved my character. But overall, not really. Do I like that I lost my well-paying job, and had to start completely over at a different job? Again, yes because it strengthened me. But overall, no.

However, instead of complaining, cursing the past, blaming others for my less-than-amazing choices regarding my investment; I have been repairing the damage done by this situation. I understand others had a larger investment than me, but no one can guarantee a certain outcome. If anyone wants to continue prolonging and increasing their own misery, then they are more than welcome. But, I am simply making suggestions to benefit us all. You cannot change yesterday. You cannot change tomorrow. What you can change is now. If we could control what happened at this point, we would all have a full return of investment. That has not happened, so obviously it is out of our hands.

Change what you do not like, but accept what you cannot change. The only thing any one of us has control over at this point is how we choose to react to the situation in this current moment which we cannot change. You can keep it a part of your life and imprison yourself by it. Or you can get over it, learn from it, and move on. Ultimately that is all we can ever really do when it comes down to it. Just thought I would offer input which could actually accomplish something positive. It was my opinion that not enough people involved in this situation are doing that. I have not always had this perception on the matter. Some time ago, I was quite infuriated, enraged, frustrated, annoyed, etc. I let this one event control my mood, my physical health, my mental health, my behavior, my speech, etc. I have decided that I no longer want that. Hopefully someone else reads this and decides they too would rather move on with life.

I have not received my miner. Nor have I received any cloud hashing, despite providing my pool info as requested. I have also not received a single microbe of information regarding my order despite having asked politely several times and being outright ignored each time. At this point of course a refund would be fabulous, but all I have really asked for is an honest update, considering the current state of affairs. All I want is to know what is even going on with my order. I suppose I will provide the order number which is #847, but I can't exactly say I expect anything different. Hopefully things are moving along well though.
8  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: August 10, 2014, 10:12:49 AM
I sent my pool information as instructed and have seen no hashing activity. I, of course am also waiting on my 1.2TH model I ordered in early December of last year. Just a reminder more or less. Everyone makes mistakes, and I appreciate the efforts to make good on them. Thanks.
9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: August 04, 2014, 02:00:56 PM
I saw a while back that people who ordered 520GH/s models got upgraded to 1.2TH/s models. I am wondering; did customers who ordered 1.2TH/a models get an upgrade? Also, when are they supposed to ship? I believe the last supposed delivery window has passed, and I have not received mine so I am just curious. Lastly, if possible I would like to know the status of my order which is #847. Thank you.
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: July 29, 2014, 04:12:14 AM
Do you know what the status of order #847 is? I have not checked back in some time. I saw it was said that nearly all orders have been shipped. Is mine among them? And have the 1.2's been upgraded at all?
11  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: July 01, 2014, 11:00:56 PM
I haven't checked in here for a while. Just wondering when I'm going to get my $6000+ back. To any who have been keeping up, are we any closer to a final resolution to this situation?
12  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: June 07, 2014, 06:48:37 PM
Pleading for money back and whatnot; ya it's annoying. Ya it's irritating. I don't like it any more than the rest of us. But I have attempted to call AMT at least 100 times. I have left countless messages and emails. I have posted here looking for answers, often to not find none, or be flatout ignored. Do I like complaining? Absolutely not. But besides asking for it, I can't think of anything else I can do. I just want my money back. I don't dven want a damn miner anymore. By the time anyone gets one, they'll be completely useless. It would seem as though I am in a room full of multimillionaires who could care less about a few thousand dollars. If that's the case, I will happily accept $6000 from any such person who is bothered by my attempts to reclaim my investment and I will never say another word on this forum. I'm sorry I have to subject others to it, but I've tried every non-public or "official" method of contact and I don't know what else I can do. I honestly just accepted it as gone for a while but my personal finances have suffered recently and I need all the money I can get so I have resumed trying to get what should be rightfully mine.
13  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: June 07, 2014, 06:32:55 PM

Not gonna happen, you best bet was to file with the FTC. I mean begging for the money back isn't going to persuade them. It might make them giggle but they think they've legitimately earned the money you've paid them regardless of your not receiving anything. The only way you'd get cash is to hold their hand all the way to the bank or under their mattress or wherever they keep their money. Unless you are there in person and with some type of law enforcement I don't believe you'll see a dime.

Personally I'd take my money back and wash my hands of it, but that doesn't seem like something they are willing to offer so I'm not going to beg. I'm just going to wait, one way or another something will happen.

Does anyone have a contact at the FTC they've been working with?   I was scammed out of 4 boxes (2 1.2's and 2 3.2's) and have received little response to dozens of email and phone calls.   I hired an attorney in PA and they told me to hold up until the Class Action is approved then we can decide to move forward as part of the CA, or separately if preferred.

Do what you have to do. The class action would be the best to to wait for tho. It will give an accountable result. That said you are much better off waiting for the new hardware anyway. From experience I can tell you the current ones are a mess and are prone to massive breakdowns. What is your order number? Might be good to add you to the list of orders known so it can be tracked publicly and make all this accountable too.

My order is #847
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: June 07, 2014, 03:06:03 PM
I tried emailing the RMA email three times. It failed each time. I haven't even received the 1.2TH/a unit I ordered on December 3rd, over six months ago. Can I just have my $6000 back? Pretty much any other company will allow you to cancel an order and you get your money back. Can I please just have my money back, PLEASE? I think that's a fair request. It didn't take me six months to give the money to AMT. I sent it instantaneously, in one lump sum. I don't think it's too much to ask. It was my money to begin with, and I just want it back since I have not gotten what was promised to me and pretty much everyone else who ordered. Why is that such a difficult thing to get? If I buy anything from pretty much anywhere, I can cancel my order or return the product and get a full refund either way.

Me and basically every other customer have been treated poorly and unfairly for virtually the entire time we have been dealing with this mess. Me personally, I just want my money back. I paid almost $8000 over six months ago and have essentially jack shit to show for it. If any legitimate company did this, compensation would be given immediately for the poor handling of the order, extremely poor customer service, horrendous product quality, and the outright lying to the public. I would please like to cancel my order and receive my full refund via bank transfer, personal check, money order, etc. I will even fly up there from Florida just to do a cash transaction and be done with this nightmare. No bitcoins, no virtual currency, none of that shit. I would just like my refund in United States Dollars. PLEASE, just let me be done with this mess and move on with my life. This has gone on for so long. That's all I want. This situation had plagued my life for long enough. I just want to be  compensated so I may be rid of the whole thing.
15  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: June 06, 2014, 12:25:00 PM
A little while back, my 80GH/s model just basically exploded. I haven't bothered with trying to get proper compensation because my experience thus far has been terrible. Like everybody else, I am yet to receive my 1.2TH/s model which I ordered in December. And my 80GH/s model which I did actually receive in February, despite being essentially a really expensive paperweight; has been falling apart basically since I got it. The USB ports on BOTH boards came unsoldered, one then the other. The wiring must not have been proper gauge for the voltage because they have burned to a crisp. There were no power surges on that circuit, that I am aware of. It simply began to cook itself. The original configuration was honestly just retarded, I'm sorry. Both heatsinks were about a centimeter apart, facing each other, with fans blowing hot air onto one another.

I remember the first time I looked at it, I thought "I paid money for this? You'd think a $1500 machine would look a little more professional than this". The wires were fastened with electrical tape. There were wires all over the place with no organization of any kind. There was some odd configuration where the boards went into a third party 4-port USB hub, which was plugged into a smaller network card. Neither if which were fastened anywhere; just stuffed in the side. And to top it all off, the case fan was blowing the absurdly hot exhaust, straight onto the power supply. There was maybe 3cm (a little over an inch) of space for the exhaust. Terrible configuration planning, rather poor craftsmanship, horrible quality. Despite my disappointment, I remained polite and understanding, fixed the USB ports myself (because God forbid if I actually got assistance from AMT). I continued to be optimistic about my purchase, maybe to justify spending the money I did and not just being upset with myself.

But then one day, it just flat out exploded. I watched it happen. I moved the boards apart so there's about 2" of space between them so they didn't melt each other. I moved the power supply outside of the case, and took the top & bottom panels off and put it on it's side to allow proper ventilation. I even had two more computer case fans for added cooling, which were hooked up to a separate power supply. It ran like this for over a month, but all of this was apparently not enough. Mind you, I did all this work for an 80GH/s which makes, what? $80 a month (BEFORE added power consumption costs)? Anyway, one day, I was in my office. It was located on a shelf right below the A/C vent for even MORE cooling. I started to smell an odd metallic/static electricity smell. I looked up to see it begin to spark. Then I watched it literally explode and catch fire. The top board is all scorched, half the fuses are blown, and the wires were fried.

At that point, I had so wasted so much energy being upset about my 1.2TH STILL not having been delivered; that I just honestly didn't even care enough to put any more energy into this entire horrible situation I got myself into. This was at the end of March. I just accepted that the $7000+ that I was so eager to invest in AMT, was gone from my life never to return; and gave up. Even now, I still empathize some, because I have started businesses of my own and I know the challenges, but never in my life have I made such a terrible debacle out of any business. If I am going to attach my name with anything, I take all known measures to ensure that it will be something I am proud to be associated with. I am sorry to say this about fellow entrepreneurs because there needs to be more of us in this country, but in my experience; AMT is a poorly run company. It would seem that AMT was ill prepared to handle fulfilling their own claims. It would seem they did not take adequate preparations or precautions when starting their business, to ensure a quality experience for all.

This is flat out irresponsible. You cannot be hasty when starting a business, and it would seem that is what they did. It seems AMT wanted to cash in on the whole bitcoin thing when it was booming, and did not take necessary measures to ensure success. The classic eyes being bigger than the stomach. I am still just accepting that I have a bricked machine that was useless long before it exploded, as well as another $6000 that I will never see. Just letting any potential investors know that you probably want to stay away. I would avoid buying preorders from anywhere. Preorder business model for bitcoin miners just indicate that a few people with a little cash can brand a logo and do some web design, and don't have the funds to purchase the supplies outright and build it ahead of time. Especially in a market like bitcoins. NEVER go with a preorder. Everywhere I look I see situations like this.
16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: May 07, 2014, 11:25:26 AM
Just re-posting to get more feedback from customers that may not have seen it.

As unprofessional as this one is about to be, we'd like to get some opinions from the community because the majority of you seem to understand our situation to a degree. Also most of the current thread members have stuck in there, and we know that others which supported us once are most likely still watching, just to see what happens in end. We believe the majority of you knew we had everyone's best interest at heart and never meant for things to go this far south. You've also seen the many curve balls that have been thrown our way and can understand where were at. Others just think we're FOS and want to sue. Either way, it is what it is.

As transparent as we'd like to be and scream to the world as to why some work and some don't its not the legal moment for that, but it will come in due time. It's not Bitmine's fault if that's anyone's thought btw. We still love those swiss bastards despite their lack of support due to their shit storm. Below are some options we're thinking about offering and above all we are trying to keep it as uncomplicated and as simple as possible. Some of them help us stay in business (like transferring to hosting) others take us quickly out of business, like immediate refunds. In the end we'll choose what seems most viable and whats best for the group. Some of you have helped our company find the answers to problems we didn't see by reading your posts, others have contributed great ideas and advice that made the drawing board/game plan but that were never implement due to the simple factor of too much to accomplish with not enough people and the strategic curve ball or protagonist popping up each week. Some of the members have harassed us, bullied us and tainted our name on google to the point where if you search our company all you'll find is "Scam this and Bitcoin that". Others have spent hours on the phone with us  consulting us and discussing the situation to the point where clear logical objectives became apparent, while others drank with us in person, picked up their miners and helped even further there after knowing where we are at, despite the fact they may have lost. These characteristics of some of these community members counter the loathed trolls that still bother us to this day. All in all, we value you're opinions, and appreciate those of you which have stuck in this with us this far, and please know it won't be forgotten.  It is because of those individuals that we wont declare bankruptcy to get out of a lawsuit, that we'll fight to stay in this and that we'll continue to do our best to triumph in the end.

In most cases these hypothetical options would apply to all customers as a choice. (Again we'd just like to get our client's reactions and what may seem satisfactory)

1. Receive your miner immediately - with a 1.2hash rate or maybe a bit more. Immediately being end of this week.
2. Receive a different design - which is based on individual smaller miners, not in a case per-say, but similar to a Klondike model instead. Again for the hash rate at the time of purchase.
3.Transfer to hosting - order's/miner's to hosted option with a 20% increase, electric being billed monthly or deducted from earning, which would be again be a somewhat immediate (week or so) delivery.
4. Opt in payback. For a 6 month payback program if your order is for 2 miners or less. 12 months if your order is for 3 miners or more. Receiving a check each month for the fractionated amount in suggestion or btc each month for the amount of btc you paid.
5. Receive chips + 10. ie - if your miner was a 1.2th you would receive 50 A1 chips. <- we don't expect many to choose that one and if several do then it may counter previous options.
6. Trade in for script. - If we launched sales of a 10-11k script miner with a 70m hash rate with a 7 day delivery, your orders monetary credit would be applied to that from a price point perspective. With the choice to hold that option as the price decreases in time of course.

Yes the above options are not glamorous, and it wont end in a settlement for 3-4 times your original investment as expected, but neither will the suit which is why we push those negative individuals towards it anyway, because you cant get blood from a stone no matter how hard you hit it. But these are feasible realistic options based on our current fiscal situation, on the market's conditions and on the connections we've made along the way which are willing to help us pull through and stick around, because they too still know what we're capable of if we can get our heads above water. And if we're all fucked anyway due to market conditions and current pricing based on consumer demand, than strategic partnerships encompassing something similar to Nash's game theory, may be the only means of mutual success, and we'll just have to create new markets.

With option 4, would I receive the full US dollar amount paid, or the total bitcoins paid? Because if it is total BTC, that would be a considerable loss. If it will be full dollar amount paid, that would be a true full refund. I just want to know before I decide which I would like. Thanks.
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: April 26, 2014, 02:31:04 AM
So, how are the shipments coming? I'm interested in order #847 to be exact.
18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: April 13, 2014, 12:34:25 PM
I have not had huge success getting answers on here, but I was wondering what the status of my order is. It is #847. I know this may not "be the place for order inquiries", but other means have gotten me a response so delayed that it ceased to matter, or no response at all. I am glad to see production and shipment is finally coming along, and I see all these people talking about order numbers 1000+ and I am just wondering about my order that I placed in the first days of December. I have been along for this whole ride, and I am just wondering when my order will ship.

Thanks
19  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: April 02, 2014, 06:25:20 PM
What happened to posting a few users' whose orders shipped tracking information here? I cannot find the post, but AMT did say they would do that. Just wondering because I have a relatively low order number and I was looking forward to something tangible that shows the actual shipments. I was not counting on it of course, but I was just wondering.
20  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 10, 2014, 09:59:29 PM
Does anyone have definitive shipping dates? I want to hold AMT to what they say so I have more justification (as if I need any more) when it comes time to pursue legal action. I gave a week since my last email and have gotten no information in return. I have given far too much of my time to AMT, but I have allowed four more days before I take some action. This has become quite ridiculous. Any large corporation would have been sued so long ago for doing this. I do not like to be that person, but I know when I am entitled to something. I will update this thread again after Friday as to status of my pursuit of justice in this matter. Hopefully that will not be necessary.
