I notice COMM has 140BTC of volume on BTER today, and is passing many well established coins.
Don't get too carried away with price, because there is a lot to do. Real value and utility is what the COMMunity is aiming for, and that is not coming overnight. There are plenty of capable members here, and that will become apparent in the months ahead !
COMMunity Creates Value.
As I have said before , COMM's future will depend on how the community takes it forward . Community efforts led to COMM being traded on exchanges and now top postion on Mintpal . But still there is still a lot of work to do and It is just the BEGINNING . +1 Yes , very early days yet. The real ideas and value will come in the future, from a quality Community. All CryptoCurrencies have to pass through many stages to survive and grow. I have a roadmap derived from my experience in supporting a couple dozen currencies from near-birth to success (and more that haven't made it yet), and know a lot of the pitfalls as well. I think we may need an official forum like Dogecoin did. They gathered on our official forum to discuss the major problems. |

Hello Everyone,
I just commited some changes into github to block transactions from the lost wallet. I tried it both in an existing installation and in a fresh one (which requires the blockchain to be downloaded) and it seems to be working ok.
I'd like to have it peer-reviewed and tested by some of you before we build the official wallets.

Yeah, right. You just happened to loose it did you so you can no longer give away coins, even though at first you stressed this was a fair launch, with nobody having more than another person (to start) including the devs. This was all lies to push up the value of your coins. Just you guys wait for this coin to get on an exchange. As soon as it does you will see a little dump here and a little dump there. They will rinse this coin dry with their HUGE 20% pre-mine.
Too bad because I liked the name, but the picture wasn't big enough. You can't expect a coin to do well when its main purpose is to serve the community of a tiny forum on the internet and the initial distribution was to 500 individuals. Nobody will buy into that.
it's already on exchange, and the lost coins are visible, everyone will know if they will be dumped or not Yes,we should do our best to do some projects instead discuss the 2 Billion missing here. Our stronger community demand will eventually solve the problem. Don't worry. |

Still on that mintpal bandwagon? Like I have already stated. This coin is toxic until the 20% coin issue is resolved. What do you think getting on mintpal is going to do for this coin? No serious trader is going to touch this coin wondering if he's going to get dumped on by a 200 million surprise. People already know where to buy this coin and they're staying away. Why do you think the price is so low? It's not because of posts I made. It's because nobody's buying the story about the hard drive and the 200 million coins. Mintpal won't help this coin at all. Start demanding answers about the status of those 200 million coins. Don't worry the dev can't do anything to you and they won't be giving out anymore coins so you have nothing to lose. I wouldn't worry about lost 200 mil coins as dev has already cleared that these are permanently blocked and also everyone can check the status of wallet. Those who don't trust should leave this thread instead of bad mouthing or cursing dev. People who trust this coin they are busy voting or trying to help in other ways. If I guess correctly, you're going to borrow money from me! The dev will come to grips with the problem very soon. |

I was notified of this coin but knew it would implode all on it's own. So I'll just sit back and watch the fools try and convince each other that they're going to the moon. Don't bother replying to me as this will be the only post I make in this thread. Possible Scam

I wonder how much btc these guys just made  I wonder how many BTC have you made from scams in order to get such a trust -6/-1 red flag. That's really hard to achieve while you did it! This coin was really going places the way it was being oriented and distributed and I do believe it still can thrive but... seems that FUD has spread like wild fire since the DEV communicate that he have lost 200 mil coins and this was enough to start the making of an explosive cocktail of FUD. The second round of distribution criteria also pissed some members that thought that they were entitled to be eligible for the second round stake due to their efforts to promote COMM. Adding to the cocktail the soared members that got nothing and have buy in the COMM train started more FUD and trolling!!!
We have now members gloating and claiming that they got 1 or 2 stakes more that they should have because of multiple accounts that were meeting the rules for the first round of distribution and have been dumping their stakes!!! These are probably trolls that have some interest in other coins and want to put this one down!!!
I am one of the first round members that got 1mil stake and I am still holding them. I was not choosen to be on the second round list. Maybe because I moved my coins from my laptop wallet to my other PC wallet or maybe because I was not active enough. But I am not really worried because I got 1 mil free coins to be apart of this community. What more could I ask of free coins? More free coins? What I should do is buy more to protect my stake!!!
This is the result of giveways and free coins! Human nature is complicated indeed and greed is one of our worst deadly sins!!! That is why people should work for their earnings keep! They will appreciate it more, you know!!!
The fact is that the issue of 200 million coins are out there stored in a hardrive wallet and still remain on the blockchain is concerning everyone and people might think that 20% of the total supply are like the premine of the DEV waiting to get dumped at some point!!!
So as I see it, in order to get to stop more FUD and eventually kill this project completely. The Dev should immediately resolve the issue of the 200 million lost coins with transparency so trust does not get lost and get this incident behind us so we can focus on the future and prosperity of COMM!!!

Why would I have been rejected? I did what he asked? I posted my address on facebook. That was the only requirement at the time. When I didn't receive any coins, I filled out the form, but still didn't receive any. Actually, there are many reasons for rejections. If you are qualified and are deserved to own one stake, you should appeal on it. What you can do should be follow what the dev said in his previous post. Find it and do following it. And you still have the hope to get one. Just applied. It seems to be hard to take a shake.I will donate COMM to ppl who we need to help when I get my coins. I think the dev may have a lot of work to do so I'll wait patiently for the big gift to come. Good luck all the community members. |

I still haven't received any coins, even though I already posted my address on facebook 29-03-2014! Then there was no need to fill in any for whatsoever. I just sent the dev an email, hoping there are still some coins left...
Just fill the application form and don't forget to fill Facebook page link, where you posted your address. Don't give up,brother. Try to PM dev as he said. I think the dev is an equal-opportunity kind of guy. |

If you want to win, you need to try harder and play better
Now I just have a feeling that the game is played no more than 10 people, the rest are all bots. Therefore, some of the strategy here is difficult to say, unless the company of friends. But I have friends can not afford much time to play the game and have to sit here for hours if you want to earn. Of course I want is All I can give me to pay I desire  |

When the media gets going about the lack of privacy within bitcoin compared to virtual cash of darkcoin, that will have an impact on people. Can I suggest that if people want to offer criticism, please step up and offer your time & work to the cause. Darkcoin is entirely volunteer based, so we do the best we can with the resources we have available. I would LOVE it if the solution were as simple as "stop changing things, everything's fine". A vote for no more changes to the logo is just that -- your vote. Please don't try to subvert the democratic process -- campaigning loudly for your opinion doesn't give you more votes. We're nearly there with the logo, and I don't expect anyone wants a long period of deliberation on variants now that we have the base design chosen. From here, there's still a lot of work to be done. Logo --> branding guide --> press releases, graphics, website, etc. The process of hashing out high quality, professional branding via group consensus is always going to be painful & tedious, and this is something I fully accepted before jumping in. Branding is important even if it seems trivial sometimes. So let's take the time to get it right. The community is coming out with some great work, like the baby blue variation. To me these contributions represent progress. A vote will likely be called to decide on the logo & colour palette, and then we can consider these things finalised and move forward. I fully understand & sympathise that branding efforts are taking quite a lot of time. It's a pain in my ass too, let me assure you. But I believe in taking the time to do things right the first time. Please get behind the effort and support it, because it represents our face to the world. To address the concern about volume of posts on logo stuff in this thread, may I make a suggestion: We move all logo/branding discussion to darkcointalk.org, as a self-enforced policy.Yay/nay? The future is yet unclear, but there will eventually be at least one successfull anonymous coin, and along with that freedom for humanity will come as well! My bet - Darkcoin.
