For me best pool seems to be http://vtc.coinvention.net/ . I have no idea why but I **think** i'm getting more vtc per day with 270khash. I'm saying think because difficulty is changing so, it's hard to say for sure. I've tried vertco and bitcrush also but payouts seems to be lower... |

in cgminer if i set Intensity over 13 i reiceve too much HW errors  For me new version of vertminer 053 somehow solved all the hw errors.. before i got like 200hw errors per day now 0 |

With my r9 290 I only get 280khash (WU=275) at max. Seen people reaching 350khash with ease.
Who is willing to take a look at my settings and have the golden advice for me?
i = 13 (any higher gives HW errors)
tc = 14208 (any higher gives gpu failure error)
w = 512
core = 1000
mem = 1325 (any higher and my screen turns black)
powertune = +20 (have tried -20 and 0, but does give lower WU)
(cant copy my .bat file, since im not at home at the moment).
Its running on an old Intel C2D E4400 system with 4 gb of ram. Ive seen suggestions that 8gb is much better. But.. if i want to upgrade to 8gb, i must upgrade my cpu and mobo at the same time. Looking at 400 euro's for upgrade. Since btc is so low, i wont withdraw btc to cash to upgrade. If the ram is my problem, at least i know its that.
Is it my ram, or am I missing the special setting? Ive been active in the chatroom, but so busy there my question doenst get noticed that well.

I also have c2d in the beginning i had 3gb ddr2 with 7950 i got 260khash.. I added 4gb ddr2, that allowed me to up tc and got extra 40khash so 300 total. Well I had to play with the settings a lot to get that number.. For the core i found that more is not better (mhz wise) and memory i just left at stock. I did undervolt it quite a lot . Drivers also played a role, catalyst 13.9 gave 5khash more the 13.1 for instance... |

I got it a big lower, but still, sinking like a stone  . At least mining got a bit easier. Yeah i'll sell panda for vert too, but not just yet |

I think exchange where you could exchange vtc for dollars would really help this coin. Has anyone contacted any of the exchanges? I'm pretty sure kraken would add vtc for the right amount of money

Well you can clearly see someone is dumping the coins, huge volume here and there.. How many coins does he have left that's the question . I'm pretty sure he'll drive the price to 0.0025 or lower trying to cause a panic sellout |

I think when promoting we should really point out why vertcoin isn't "yet another bitcoin". For instance bitcoin was made to decentralise financial payment, but with the recent asic addition the mining system seems centralising.. vertcoin has a solution for this etc

Huh, that's weird. If you use bat file or config file cgwatcher should work just as good as manual restart.. What is your problem with it?
Manual restarting for me wasn't even an option, I've lost sooo much hours due to vertminer or connection errors

i cant for the life of me to get vertminer working properly. ive tried mulitpel setting and either it crashes or i cant mine more then 3 khash on a 280x. makes no sense.
can anyone with a single 280x help me out with a command/miner combination that works.
first person who post the working bat setup ill give my first 2 block finds just post your address in the message
first of all, try to reboot computer? someone had the same problem yesterday, probably driver malfunctioned and a reboot helped second, go to chaosagent's pool and there should be a simple guide there for 280x, seems most of the setting still the same, -I 13 -tc 8192 -w 256, -g 2 good luck Try using cgwatcher, just download it and extract it into the vertminer folder. I've setup that it automatically restarts if there is an error (no accepted shares for 5minutes for instance). Before I couldn't get the miner to work for more then 5hours straight |

Yes vertminer shows the correct temperature.. checked with physical thermometer, gpu-z, sapphire-trixx ..

How can I set vertminer to automaticly reconnect when there is an internet connection failure.. pretty much wasted entire night because it failed to connect

I want to start with 3 GPUs. Would you recommend me to buy a 1500W PSU right away or buy a 1000W now and 500W later in case I want to upgrade?
For me it's better to by even 3 gpus..for instance 850w, 750w, 750w this is what i need for 6x r9 290 oc im my case.. that's 300 euro in my country... 1x 1200w power supply cost 300 itself atm!! so i would just go for few smaller ones. i like thoose Corsair CS750 casue they are cheap and have 91% efficiency and You can easly hook up 2x r9 290 to it...850 i use for 2x r9 + mobo + cpu. How much does r9 290 by itself use? I have 200w free on my psu, will it be enough? Myself i have been very satisfied with fractal gold 80 psu |

hellooooo you all  I ve got 250 ks from each XFX 7950 (500 total) has anyone been able to do better? I ve got 4gb memory and running 2 of those cards in the same rig, do you guys think i should use more Gb of ram for the effect? Im using vert cgminer.  Wanted a bit more ash from these cards, I've got the same setup, but only one 7950 getting 260khash. I get best value with --shaders 1792 -I 13 --g 2 --w 256 Next thing is overclocking, my voltage is 1.1v, gpu 950 (slower speed actually improved khash, go figure.. ), memory 1350 These settings actually give me very bad khash hashing other scrypt like dogecoin (about 360, should be more) Ordered new ddr2, will get the in two weeks and report. |

Yeah I tried that, doesn't do much good. Do you think I'd do better if I switch from windows 7 64bit to ubuntu ?

With 7950 i'm getting now about 260khash, but I get accepted shares: 75900 ; rejected 64, hw errors 331
Is this ratio normal? For some reason i'm getting hw errors at intensity 13, if i lower to intensity 12, errors stop but the hash rate falls by 100khash

Huh, barely got the hang of cgminer. Is it similar at least? Alternatively which card should I buy that will support two gpu threads( budget versions), please don't recommend r9 290 or 280
