KYC is actually run by a third party, named veriff.me (https://veriff.me/), where someone is actually before the computer, checking documents.
We cannot run ourselves KYC, that's why we are collaborating with veriff.me.
Concerning the European laws, unfortunately it is not something we can decide. You are free not to believe it, but the law is the law and we must respect it.

KYC cannot be rejected for any reason. There are always valid reasons.
Documents must be clear and visible and NOT scanned or copied. Very important is to upload NOT damaged documents.
