1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RapidCoin [FORUMS] [UPDATED] Bounties - Launched! on: February 09, 2014, 05:45:11 AM
Just posted this on Crypsty support:

https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/76072

Please add your support.

And no I am not paid for this.  I just believe in this coin.

Thank you for that, this is what we need. The community coming together as one.

We would like to apologize for the miss-haps that happened at launch, we were aiming for a truly flawless launch.
Things seem to have calmed down a bit now which is good news, and the hash rate is steady and slowly climbing.

As above we wish to rectify any lost coins in the rouge pool from this morning and wish to apologize again for the inconvenience it may have caused.

This is just the beginning guys, now that the stressful and busy time of launch is over, the devs can now get to work on building the community for you.

Hi. I've just come over from /g/ - technology........just wondering if the main site faucet is working or not?  I tried it but nothing arrived.

I agree that the next step should be getting everyone together to message cryptorush, cryptsy etc. Rapidcoin looks legit and should get listed no problem. The ledger idea is great and keeps things really transparent (this is most important right now with so many premines around).

Can you spare any coins please ? (I've only made 5 tonight).

Thing is, Doge seem fun and all by its community but this is, at the same time, what will makes serious investors and serious businesses not want to join and participate. If they do, Doge will become serious and not fun anymore which is in contrast of why it is taking off.

You're wrong there. A Google dev came on r/dogecoin 2 weeks ago asking for opinions about it's development and future use on their services. Big business is already taking notice of Dogecoin.

When the meme dies, the coin dies IMO. That's what I'm watching for, when people get sick of the meme.

When (or if) the meme dies, the devs/community will just make adjustments to the brand (name, logo etc) where required.

The amount of developments with Doge is astonishing though for a 2 month old coin......just today they launched the lite wallet (Bitcoin is the only other coin to have a lite wallet).

The number and speed of projects is directly related to the huge catchment of talent they are tapping into, and that will only grow.

hi, thanks for the reply!

i'm looking into mining alts, if i did buy a 7950 or 280x gfx card (im a bit of a gamer too) do u think it would be profitable? sadly, electricity isnt free for me, but since my pc is on most of the time cause of my work I guess it cant cost too much more? although im pretty sure my gfx card isnt utilised much

AMD R9 280x is pretty hard to beat bang for buck - 730kH is easily obtainable. You can currently mine around 2,500 Dogecoin a day on that card.

Avoid XFX brand.

Sapphire 7970 11197-03-40G. I think that I have a fan failing on this card & I wonder if any of you found a way to replace these fans.  I noticed some oil on the pcb. Would that be from the fan motor?  It no longer cools as effectively as it did.  Thank you.

Have you thought about re-applying the thermal paste?  Maybe it has dried out.
