1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will be back to $125 within 4 months on: January 13, 2015, 10:15:26 PM
Back to $100 by the summer I reckon.... Hard to believe I once mined over 8,000 on my PC back in the early days.... I got interested as I am a geek, but got bored, saw no potential, and wiped the hard drive when I rebuilt my PC without a 2nd thought. So what would I know? Smiley

Is that 10am PDT or 10pm? I'm in UK the earliest to trade would be my local 6pm if it starts 10am PDT - however, still awaiting my approx 9500 Sembro Tokens

Christ people, seriously why all the crying?

If you was an early investor (like me) you probably put all you could into the coin, NO ONE knew from the start how many coins they would get or how much BTC would be invested, it was basically a blind buy, you could put in .1 and it might only have a total of 25 BTC invested or you could put in .1 and it could have 250 BTC invested, the timer really is irrelevant if 1) You put in as much as you were willing to anyway, or 2) You got in "late" on the timer which was simply incorrectly set. Either way, it really doesn't matter, the more BTC in, the more "value" the coin should hold and having it run longer simply means that the Devs get more BTC to work with, which as they have already said is going straight into further developments and the coins are spread out over more investors, meaning hopefully less manipulation by one or two larger investors...

Well put. I have just pawned my children and bought some more. They'll thank me later Smiley

Hi, I don't think greed is the correct word. We are not making money off of this...it is going right into product development.

Right. But Bittrex is making more BTC the longer it stays open so they have a reason to be greedy.

I know you'll make great use of the extra funds you'll get from the ITO staying open longer, but the situation nonetheless is throwing a curveball so to speak at the investors who paid attention to the advertised end time and acted accordingly.

I've said what I've had to say. I'll let you guys figure it out from here.

I was one of the early investors, and a small investor at that - approx. 0.15BTC - However, at the advertised end of the ITO, I was entitled to approx. 0.35% of the total coinage - I'm now watching that percentage dwindle every minute - I'd love to invest more, and I would if I had more to invest Sad Just hope this was worth it...

Ah OK thanks - I see people are STILL buying at the 1BTC price AFTER the ITO has ended!

"The tokens will be distributed proportionate to purchases, based on this formula: (Your BTC buy amount)/(Total BTC Buy Amount) x 2.5 million coins" - I wonder if these late buyers will still get their cut?
at the end the ico was 39.x BTC, but now is 37. Probably they've refunded who bought minutes after the end.
You should do the division BTC/n°coins   about 40BTC/2.5M= 1.6k sat

And whit they formula you'll have the coin you'll take. yes.

if you've invested 1BTC/40BTC*2.5M =62500 SEMBRO
I'm telling 40BTC but is a value similar, today they rised 37BTC and in the last days about 5BTC....

Thanks again - on those figures, I'd need each Sembro Token to be approx 1600SATs to break even

So what's the next step? I bought some 2 days ago - when do they work out the share and pass it onto the buyers?

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Globe Crypto Wallet not synchronising? on: February 09, 2014, 01:37:16 PM

Thanks you for quick reply - I already found that post but I cannot find Globe.conf anywhere on my C drive - forgive my ignorance/stupidity, but can you advise where to find this, please? Thanks Smiley

Check C:\Documents and Settings\<your_windows_username>\Application Data\Globe.
When wallet does not sync then simply close it and after few seconds open it again. I do this, whet it hangs with sync.

Thank you - I have that folder, but no Globe.conf within there or within subfolders - do I need to create it? Or should I remove all Globe folder etc and reinstall? (Although I have already tried this)

Hi - does anyone else have issue with the Globe wallet not synchronising? This has gone on  for 3 days now - have tried on different machines - same problem -  I have been heavily pool mining and have nowhere to withdraw my payouts.

Please advise before I change currency (I don't want to, but may have to!)

Thanks
Hi mate,

Just make sure your Globe.conf looks like this : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=360255.msg4308107#msg4308107 and you should get connections. I assume this is a connection issue rather the sync getting stuck. Correct?

If you have any more issues feel free to post Smiley .

Thanks
