2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be prepared on: March 17, 2022, 07:15:25 PM
No matter how high crypto coins go bear market is unavoidable it's just the way the market survives, many people are brainwashed with present market condition that they already forget what bear market is, no amount of money can stop bear market from happening, don't say I don't warn you be prepared.

True that's why the HODL mentaly is kinda for the weak ones who probably have 9 to 5 mentality and are used to simpler things. But in the end  we all make the same HODL mistake the first wave we get into crypto that's just part of the natural income cycle in crypto, no one really cares what other people have to say only after they are down bad they start to adapt. Since we've been so down for so long i'm starting to go back into alts i was thinking of $GALA , $PYR , $ENGN and #Lunafi which is a metaverse casino simply put, that offers staking to whoever provides liquidity for the house. I believe that the Gaming/metaverse niche is gonna take us to mass adoption and i wanna hear your thoughts as well on the coins i've mentioned or if you have any other recommendations?

I agree on the Engine and LunaFi projects. Both have such a high potential to lead their niche Smiley
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the purpose of all these altcoins? on: March 17, 2022, 03:17:55 PM
And I am especially talking about those memecoins like dogecoin, shiba inu and those other coins that pump and dump in those shiba doge and those make up coin names?  There is zero purpose of these coins.  They had that squid game token I believe.  What is the purpose of these coins?  It literally sounds like someone creating a video game and making up coins.  The worst part is you have people buying these coins to most likely try to make a profit and then sell since rarely are these coins meant for holding.

Not only that, these coins have no usage.  When there are coins called bluecoin and greencoin, what exactly is the purpose of these?  The only coins that make sense is btc and litecoin.  I don't even know why ETH is a coin since its not like currency.  Ripple for example does seem like a coin since it seems like a penny or nickle so to speak.  I know there are tons of those memecoins are pancakeswap and uniswap and many of these coins are top earners for the day before they later all go down.  Are there many that even stay up?

Anyone can make up coins but why is anyone even buying any of these?  If dogecoin has no real use... then none of those other coins have any use.  So why do these new coins keep showing up?
The ETH market currently resembles the sideways consolidation that is also taking place across all other cryptocurrency markets. On a 4-Hour timeframe, the price fluctuates inside a triangle and below the Ichimoku cloud. This combination makes it challenging for ETH to break above it. Now wanted to be secure, i hold some tokens for staking, but also like to have more money to support engine's project on arcade game i'm following for a while.

Looking at the markets we've been having for the past 6.7 months i've also started digging into staking as well, to get some of my money back, but don't know where to start any ideas ? And as for Engine's project i've heard about them before but ain't so sure if the project has it what it takes to launch off, any more info on Engine ?

I personally love Engine, because it has so many features including an arcade, NFT marketplace, VR rooms, AR services and a native token. So I definetly suggest to check it out, it has a lot of potential!
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why are there so many coins and the reason why some developers failed on: March 17, 2022, 03:03:24 PM
Apart from the internal factors of the project, market conditions also greatly influenced the development of the coin.
When we are in a bull market so many projects are easy to succeed here their coins are sold out - in exchange - boom.
However, when the market is in a bear market, it will actually complicate the development of the coin even though it has large funds, because most of the trading community or cryptocurrency will judge the success rate of the coin from its high price or can survive in extreme markets but currently only a few projects who can survive in that situation.

Revenue from token sales at the time of sale does not guarantee the success of a project. There were many new tokens that appeared in early 2021, which made the meme token the star of the market at that time. Likewise with the P2E hype because of the axie, there are also many P2E tokens that get large funds, but still fail after several months of running. this is enough to prove that it's not just token sales and large amount that affect the future of a project, but the seriousness of the development team. If they are not serious, then they are likely to fail, because their target is money for themselves not for project development.

My favourite p2e project is Engine. It has various features including an arcade, NFT marketplace, VR rooms, AR services and a native token. With all that, I strongly believe it won't fail after several months of running.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: March 16, 2022, 02:53:48 PM
Hi Vitalik, I'll see you at the Miami conference.  If you could give your thoughts on these questions, it would be much appreciated.  I am very interested in this project.

NECESSITY OF A NEW BLOCKCHAIN
The whitepaper states that colored coins inherit the same limitations as the bitcoin protocol.  Metacoins do not, but they cannot be truly secure without having a copy of the blockchain.  How big of a problem is this?  Hasn't the Electrum model worked for Bitcoin?  Is there a big issue with just querying a bunch of supernodes to see if they all give the same result?  Is it necessary to have absolute security with every contract, or only very high value transactions?  Is it correct that metacoin clients won't need the first 14gb of the blockchain?

BITCOIN BLOCKCHAIN SIZE
Bitcoin Magazine's analysis showed that since storage capacity and internet bandwidth follow Moore's law, the blockchain size will not be a problem to store on phones.  How many years from now should we predict that the blockchain size will become irrelevant?  If the blockchain size were irrelevant, would ethereum still be necessary?  How much demand is there for blockchain contracts at this time, and how fast should we expect demand to accelerate?

ETHEREUM BLOCKCHAIN
How fast should we estimate the ethereum blockchain size will grow?  What will be the effects of ethereum blockchain size growth several orders of magnitude greater than Bitcoin?  Will this lead to more mining centralisation?

TURING COMPLETENESS
Is it reasonable to think the client can be sandboxed?  What will be the effects of these, since the protocol is Turing complete:  viruses, malware, adware, keyloggers, scam contracts, wallet stealers

ILLEGAL CONTRACTS
What will be the effects of illegal contracts? An assassination market, for example?  Will the Silk Road be able to run on ethereum?  Will a database of child porn be able to be stored?  If there is child porn stored on the blockchain that is easily accessible, will it be legal to store the blockchain in any country?  What will be the effects of running all the clients over Tor by default?  Can a 60s block time with huge blocks work over Tor?

SATOSHI'S ARGUMENTS
In 2010, satoshi succesfully argued against including Namecoin into bitcoin, suggesting merge-mining instead.

"Piling every proof-of-work quorum system in the world into one dataset doesn't scale.
Bitcoin and BitDNS can be used separately.  Users shouldn't have to download all of both to use one or the other.  BitDNS users may not want to download everything the next several unrelated networks decide to pile in either.
The networks need to have separate fates.  BitDNS users might be completely liberal about adding any large data features since relatively few domain registrars are needed, while Bitcoin users might get increasingly tyrannical about limiting the size of the chain so it's easy for lots of users and small devices."  -- Satoshi

You can view the rest of his arguments in the thread here:

DEVELOPER COMMENTS
I have not seen any core bitcoin developers comment on ethereum.   Is there somewhere besides the reddit and the thread on bitcointalk about it?
I am not very technical, so sorry if some of my questions are invalid or stated incorrectly.  I also posted this on reddit.com/r/ethereum.
Blockchain system will always be the main thing in this world, so blockhain gaming also could live much years just like everything. Hoping also on eth's backup, you know all what is like when you stake some of them, i'm still planning to hold, but we'll see what's going on. For now i keep my head calm, looking at gaming and p2e developments from enjin and engn, as well as keep holding tokens and farm on aqru and refi.

Blockchain gaming definitely has a lot of potential and p2e is one of my faves. Especially Engine which you mentioned!

GuildFi ($GF)                          https://guildfi.com/

Some of them look real solid i'd go with $PYR. $GALA , $ENJIN and perhaps $DAR and $ENGN off the list both have a really addictive gameplay. DAR consists of mining on a 2D platform if you're more of laid back gamer and $ENGN has a new game around the corner which appears to be like Fortnite on steroids, if you're more into shooters.

Gala and enjin for sure, but engn and racefi is something that got me interested for 2022. Engn is looking like a aaa project with great graphics, and racefi is like CSR racing which is on android if that's your cup of tea Smiley

I'm a fan of UFO Gaming, but also recently discovered Engine token which has a lot of features including an arcade, NFT marketplace, VR rooms, AR services and a native token. So would add that to the list as well Smiley
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now it's meta here and there on: March 15, 2022, 02:05:53 PM
To all newcomers on here pls be careful with projects that start with the name "META" because they are mostly scam projects, since metaverse have become another hot cake in crypto world today this scammers are fully ready to use this on the unknowns, open your eye and do good research before taking that risk... Meta this and mate that are the most dangerous projects today, stay safe.

Very good point! But I'm also a huge fan of project that focus on the metaverse since it seems to become a huge thing in the near future. Especially when you look at the gaming section, I think there are many promising projects, one of my fave being Engine token. And why? Simply because they bring in AAA games and their VR platform will soon be released. The ENGINE metaverse will be controlled by users through a decentralized network. I think it's a huge deal and defiently something to keep an eye on.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins would you invest $ 1,000,000 in? on: March 15, 2022, 01:05:35 PM
Hi everyone!

We are all partly investors, we are trying to find the token that will bring us good x2x5x10... We will scatter our several thousand in different places with the hope of a good income. Feel free to manage your deposit, take into account risk management, etc.
But the situation is interesting, imagine that things are going well and at one point your deposit is $ 1,000,000.
What would you do and how would you behave? What altcoins would he invest in? Perhaps you would keep in stable positions while waiting for a great situation to enter the market?
What altcoin / altcoins would you choose and what would you invest your million in? Huh

I think the best option now, given the risk-to-return ratio, is:

$NEAR

$FLOW

$DOT

Well, keeping my eggs in different baskets always, so I would look for something in the gaming area. Recently discovered Engine token where developers bring their AAA games onto blockchain. And crypto gaming is future, so I think it has a high potential to be very successful.

Also, I'm a bit of a gambler myself, so my other option would be LunaFi. Why I like it is because usually when gambling the house always has benefits, but with LunaFi it allows investors to be the house. So in my head it's like a win win situation for me.

And I would also invest into some third altcoin, I haven't figured out to which one yet Cheesy
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: potential moonshots on: March 15, 2022, 12:44:16 PM
Hello!I guess we all know its more reasonable to invest money into stable projects like BTC/ETH/SOL/ATOM/MATIC/DOT ect, but this isnt what this thread is about.
So if you were to gamble with a certain smaller percentage of your capital, which yet small and unknown projects would you invest into and why?

Since you mention gamble, then I can't wait to try out LunaFi betting, because so far all gambling has been so that the house wins, but LunaFi allows investors to be the house and own a portion of profits. This seems like a new approach to gambling industry, plus I can win even if I lose. So i'm definitely excited to try this one out.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming tokens to invest in on: March 15, 2022, 12:32:26 PM
I started out with Axie Infinity, but it's just not my type of a game even though it's super popular. And since i'm not in it for the game I also tend to overlook the token. However, recently I discovered Engine token which will include its ENGN token in the metaverse as the main source of currency. There are numerous use cases and possibilities for future use cases for this token I this is something that catches my attention, plus the games are AAA games.
