1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Game Over for Bitcoin? on: November 21, 2018, 05:17:22 AM
It's not even close to Game Over for Bitcoin. What was its price initially? then what was its price in 2015? well, the price has increased phenomenally. This is just a bad phase that took birth due to the greed of people, this phase will pass soon and Bitcoin will become stable in the upcoming year.

As per my knowledge Bitcoin is still in the game and will strike back by the end of 2019.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Where should we focus this year? on: November 13, 2018, 10:47:39 AM
OP, that cartoon sums up my feeling about most people in the ICO space.  Not all, certainly--there are some incredible geniuses, but I suspect that the average gambler from a poor country just wants to get rich and doesn't understand solutions where blockchains are appropriate, and where they're not.  I'm by no means an expert myself, but I'm also not buying into these crazy projects.

All of this reminds me of the late 1990s.  Everyone was sure the internet was going to be the death knell for brick-and-mortar businesses, and internet stocks soared even if the businesses had no viable business plan.  It was a crazy time then, and it's looking to be almost as crazy now.

You summed up the whole talk very nicely. That is exactly how people are unaware of what blockchain technology is how it works. Its very easy to get knowledge about it. Our internet is full of blockchain expert who are trying to educate masses.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: current situation of cryptocurrency for 2018 on: November 13, 2018, 05:09:12 AM
Cryptocurrency for 2018 is not really good. The market price for bitcoin and other crypto in the market are free falling and does not play a major market price increase since the highest peak market price for bitcoin hit on last december 2017. Thus, I am looking for some reason on this why this happen to cryptocurrency market and the real situation for cryptocurrency.

Basing on the graph it seems that market price for bitcoin stabilizes and eventually fall. The investors were withdrawing their investments on bitcoin for a certain reason and that is the cryptocurrency regulations. The blog from advisor.lk which has been posted by their staff writer stated that the current state of the cryptocurrency is not so good for the current owners as the currencies free falling since January 2018. , The blog stating the multiple reason for this and thus reasons for the decreasing trend and the major factor considered to be the government regulations on the cryptocurrencies, due to the various regulations imposed by the Chinese, Japanese and Korean and other governments resulted in major steep fall of cryptocurrencies.

The blog were talking about also with the two reasons for the government regulations, one is cryptocurrencies lack intrinsic value and governments view private currencies as a threat to their sovereignty.

Probably we could not expect bull run for crypto in the year 2018. We should not hope and expect for it to happen.

Yes i agree over last 5 years Crypto Currency has been at boom. Its aout time for it to settle down and become mature and stable.
But the problem we would face is that sooner or later it will start falling and there is no real evidence that how much it would fall. Just a prediction.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Walmart is suggested to issue their cryptocurrency to get more customers on: November 13, 2018, 04:41:01 AM
I composed the story that Walmart should create their own cryptocurrency just to ... catch your eyes  Grin

In fact, they do not need. Yes. You are right. They do not need it. They can take directly Bitcoin as the bonus for their customers.

But you can think of this further than just Walmart and the bonus given to customers. Walmart do not need that kind of bonus. People will also not be attracted to Walmart just because they give Bitcoin. It is better they give them cash or discount points. So Bitcoin is not the point. A new coin, which needs to be introduced, is the point.

Imagine Walmart is our cryptocurrency community. Among us, cryptocurrencies are accepted. But out of this community, people still do not know anything about cryptocurrencies. They also doubt of them. They think of Bitcoin, Ripple, Ethereum, and cryptocurrencies in general as "virtual money", Ponzi schemes, scams ...

Unless you give the cryptocurrencies to their hand, you will never persuade them quickly enough to make them learn and accept cryptocurrencies. But how to give them a cryptocurrency ? They do not have an wallet for you to send. And if they do have wallets, they are not the targeted people for us to introduce cryptocurrencies.

Giftdrop paper wallet can solve this problem first. Besides, giftdrop paper wallets have many other applications. The story of Walmart above is just an example case in suppose.

Paper wallets are the physical form of cryptocurrencies. Let's think of utilization of this mediums.

One way what you are saying is right. Walmart can come up with there own cryptocurrency. Since Walmart is a big name in its industry and almost everyone is aware of it so any thing coming from them would be considered authentic and people will feel secure investing with them.

And yes to increase its utility they can allow users online to buy in cryptocurrency.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will other countries take advantage of China's ban on ICOs? on: November 08, 2018, 10:28:49 AM
Well definitely ICO being banned in China other countries will enjoy the advantage as more investors from outside China would become more interested in it. But lets see how things would turn around seems so other countries will take advantage of it for sure.
