1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Best Online/Mobile Wallet to Mine ZEC to ? on: May 28, 2019, 02:36:09 PM
Hi All,

I am looking for the best & most secure ONLINE or MOBILE wallet that I can use to transfer my ZEC mining rewards to , (Desktop and Hardware wallets are not an option currently) I was mininig ZEC to my Crypto Exchange Wallet direclty (BitOasis) but now , I need to find an alternative since the exchange has decided to delist ZEC

unfortunatley , I have read bad reviews about : Coinomi , Guarda , JAAX , in terms of security and I am confused about what to chose Sad

Because the room is without AC unit it should create constant air circulation from the outside.
It could be passive inlet and active outlet. 5" (12 cm) outlet fan for 600W (2 Z9 mini) will be very noisy. If it's possible create bigger vent channel better to use 20cm outlet fan

Thanks !
The Problem is that the duct that I will connect the output of the Y connector to , is 5" , the Solid duct is a bit larger , (not sure how much)  , but the connection towards that solid duct is only 5" , so I am afraid that even if I use a bigger duct (10") , there will be a "Bottleneck" at the solid duct entrance side , and creating a new vent is unfortunatley not an option in my flat Sad

Do you really need to do that much? z9 minis make almost no heat even when overclocked

You are right , I did think about that , and I am not sure if I should do any extra work , or is the current setup OK.
Currently , with the false cieling tiles open and without any ducting or anything , I have the below Temps:
Max PCB Temp: around 50 C.
Max Chip Temp: around 78  C.
Fan Speed on both Miners : 3480 rpm

What do you think ?
Do you mind telling me a bit more about your setup and how is it holding up ?

1. Yes it will
3. It depends if u use the Ducts as outlet or inlet.

I am planning to use the ducts as outlets to let the hot air exit the room , the flexible duct will connect the Y connector to the existing solid HVAC duct , for the intake , I will leave some of the false cieling tiles open , so that Air can flow in to the room , Air temp is around 25 C to 30 C this time of year.
Why do you think this will overheat the miners ? and what do you suggest instead ?

Hello Miners !

I had to move my two Z9 Mini miners lately to a smaller room with no AC or Air Flow , and I am trying to find the best solution to cool and silence the miners as much as possible , I am in a bit of dilemma since I read and watched some conflicting advises about how to do proper ducting for your miners , so I would appreciate if you guys would weigh in and share your information , experinces and advises for my case.

The two Z9 mini's currently reside in a small room (1.5m x 4m) approximatley without AC , I am planning on connecting two 5" ducts to the two miners via 5" Fan Shrouds , combine these two ducts with a Y fitting connector , connect the Y connector to the exisitng HVAC system as shown in the diagram below:

Will connecting the two Z9 mini miners to the same 5" duct (via the Y Connector) cause the miners to heat ?

Currently , I don't have any ducting , I just opened some of these false cieling tiles to allow the hot air to exit , and I can feel that this is working because the room temp. is cooler now , and the miners fans speed has dropped , howerver , I want to overclock the two miners and I want to know if ducting 1) will be much more effective 2) or just as good as opening these tiles ? 3) or if it will actually be worse than the current setup and cause the miners to overheat ?
