1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Rigel 1.3.6 - Kaspa and Nexa GPU miner (Nvidia only) on: March 03, 2023, 06:02:47 PM
I agree about a separate failover pool file.
This was really handy in Phoenix and Claymore because a single file makes it easy to manage and organize .bat files.
That's why I still use phoenix for ethash.

Same reason bro  Cheesy. At Phoenix, it was at least convenient.

can anyone explain gpu tuning parameter and wht s better ti get good hashrate..

-gt <n>
Set the GPU tuning parameter (6 to 400). The default is 15. You can
change the tuning parameter interactively with the "+" and "-" keys
in the miner's console window. You may specify this option per-GPU.
If you don't specify "-gt" or you specify value 0, the miner will
use auto-tuning to determine the best GT value. Note that when the
GPU is dual-mining, it ignores the "-gt" values, and uses "-sci"
   instead.

thx,
What values do you recommend for the RX 6x00?

I don't agree - it looks completely fake and dangerous (or suspicious at the least...)

It is full of amateurish statements and web design elements - you can tell for certain that it is a scam website. Even in the footer, all the "Community" links just lead to Ethereum social media accounts. There is no info about who is behind the site, no contact - nothing. As well, all the download links lead to some shady hosting website and the downloads are "protected" with a password.

There is nothing real, genuine and authentic about this fake, scam, most likely malware-ridden site. We must find a way to take it down IMMEDIATELY.

well, "I" never said it was safe, and now know better, others here had looked at it and thought it was.

And yeah, it does reek, so whatever can be done should be. Maybe contact the .org ppl and tell them?
This has already been discussed.
It always has correct checksums of files.
But it's better to download from the first post because this is a fan site with referrals and instructions, not a phoenix.
It is harmless, but it does give good starting instructions.
But I advise you to download only from the source.

Compare to Claymore Dual miner,  how many percent can be increased at hashrate?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: March 30, 2021, 11:18:18 PM

IMPORTANT! All owners of AMD cards with 6 GB or 8 GB RAM must either keep drivers 20.4.x or lower (do not upgrade to 20.5.1 or later), or upgrade to PhoenixMiner 5.2e or later version to continue mining after DAG epoch 384 (ETH will pass it before the end of 2020).  Cool

Thank you!

hello,
are adrenaline drivers same as blockchian drive? or should i use blockchain driver?

In any war, both lose. However, PhoenixMiner will lose a large audience from this conflict, unlike NiceHash, because they have a large media resource.

What to do?

We need to spread good information about PhoenixMiner on blogs, on youtube, in chats. In every way to promote the PhoenixMiner project in media. Because it is the most convenient and fastest miner.

NiceHash, obviously, will continue to play dark and throw mud at PhoenixMiner, trying to ruin his reputation so that he will be forgotten.

But we will not allow this to be done.

We'll win the media war if need be, because Phoenix is so much better, safer, and more reliable than NiceHash  Cool.

I have acquaintances in crypto media (websites, twitter, reddit, discrod, youtube). At least for my part, I will tell them the whole situation so that they do not believe in the tales from NiceHash and so that PhoenixMiner does not lose its audience.

Nicehash is already waving its information cudgel in full swing. Having an audience of 50k + on twitter, 80k on facebook, 65k + on reddit.
Many people I know are now afraid to use phoenix after being falsely accused by nicehash - "STOP using Phoenix miner immediately!" they write in frightening red font. And about malicious closed source code and wild anonymity (ahaha in cryptocurrency, are they afraid of anonymity?)

I think that if phoenix DevTeam wants to be anonymous, then they have every right to do so. Nobody should tell them or even ask them to go through KYC.

I will also go to urge bloggers against nicehash and agitate for phoenix.

Only today did I actually look into the company NiceHash that I had been using. They were founded by a crook. Found guilty, served time for creating the largest botnet ever revealed designed to steal banking info.

I will NEVER be using NiceHash again.

They caused a TON of people to panic today all to get traffic to their new open source miner. This is disgraceful.

The SHA-1 of the .ZIP file is:
9a3efe6130ba21ab2ade9df38ff9d52a539d9693

I dont have the zip file because I deleted it once I extracted it

The SHA-1 of of my .EXE file is:
11428c3bdf728860fd057c411a95b14e13f05dbc

Are the ZIP and EXE checksum suppose to be different? is mine safe?

yes, .exe file looks original because I downloaded it from the first post of this thread a couple of weeks ago.

looks like Nicehash's unfair competition.
I always compare sha sumof exe and dll files. If they match with mega, nicehash or another source, then this is a real miner.

New version 5.5c works great. I have been using your mining software since the beginning of the month. Maybe one of the first. I have had 0 issues with PheonixMiner and my 6 card rig seems to be about 1mh/s higher per card.

I do like that this miner displays my best share to the pool  Grin
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.4c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: January 08, 2021, 02:36:36 PM
anyone tried to compare hashrate on GTX 1080 vs claymore?

yes, it's pretty much the same.

On AMD there's a noticeable difference (cca 1MH/s higher). Besides that I can see a much more consistent submitted share count compared to Claymore. The graph is not so choppy but almost a nice straight line. This goes for nVidia gpus as well.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.4c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: January 06, 2021, 08:44:01 AM
Hello folks.
I have a situation here while mining ETH.
One of my cards, RX 580 4gb, can only go up to 4046 (22 MH/s) on daglim. If I set from 4047 and up it crashes after few seconds while auto tuning.

Do I have a problematic card or is it normal? Few weeks ago it was mining at 30 MH/s.

That's zombie mode

Why the zombie mode?
I was asked developer why zombie mode. Well, I found that term fitting. These are cards that are supposed to be dead, yet they continue mining but gradually slower. Like an undead (GPU jargon).

Yes, I know zombie mode. What I'm not getting is why 4046 mb only. Isn't suppose to go close to 4070~4078 mb? I have another card on same PC wich goes well up to 4077 mb daglim.

The recommended range of values  X [4072..4080] depending on the GPU. The higher the value, the higher the hashrate.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.3b: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: December 15, 2020, 09:41:49 PM
Might be a dumb question, but with PM do you have to increase the power to get better hashrates out of the 1070s or can you keep it at 70% and still achieve a good hashrate?

With the new version it looks ok. W10, G3930, 6x 1080ti cpu load 100%, new version 70%. Great
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gigabyte RTX 3080 Eagle Hashrate drop on: October 29, 2020, 10:06:08 PM
I think we need to wait for the miner developers to update them. Use desktop fans. i do just that

when will the new version be released?

Why you need newer version???

 the miner works perfectly!
