Couldn’t agree more, there's no need to run this application on your mining machine or wallets machine, you can run it on any machine even on virtual one.  
I'm running it on my mining machine, but I know whats in there so I know it's safe

Description
CryptAlert is a tool for monitoring crypto currency changes, you can configure rules that will trigger alerts based on coin price, percentage change, difficulty change.
When those alerts are triggered you can receive an email with the alert information.

The application is fully functional, alerts are written to the alerts table, in order to receive emails you will need to register the application.
