1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin too difficult to understand? on: November 13, 2018, 12:51:55 AM
I think to the general public, the concept of cryptocurrencies is too hard to understand. However, I think this is due to a lack of quality marketing and attempts by the cryptocurrency players to properly educate the general public. Of course, if people really want to, they can put in their own time to research it, but that doesn't appear to be happening so the responsibility is thrown back to the cryptocurrency companies.

It looks like the 3 major cryptocurrencies have seemed to "stabilize" recently, bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple. Cryptocurrencies are too volatile to remain stable for a long period of time. We're bound to see a drastic fluctuation soon.

Cryptocurrency was meant to be a more secure and protected form of payment for consumers. While I think it does have a negative connotation attached to it, the overall concept really is meant for the good of online transactions. This form of payment being more widely accepted, especially by large companies, means that it is doing its job in my opinion.
