1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: March 06, 2014, 10:16:50 PM
Is there any automatic overheating protection on these?

When you say it should be able to test ~40C, do you mean it should be able to run at 40C? and has this been confirmed or possibly increased?
I am planning on running these where it gets to 38~39C ambient

thx

those temps are very cool. I run mine at 49c all day long and they don't even produce much heat
My AntMiners run between +46-53'C non-overclocked. So your temperatures are just fine.

Are you guys sure these are ambient temps not chip temps (temperature of the room or rather garage in my case)
I just wanted to be sure.

I'm also trying to work out all the bugs/issues ahead of time as it will be running in a remote location.
My parent's electricity is about 1/2 the cost of mine so they are letting me run my miners there as long as I pay for the electricity the miners use.

digikey.com, mouser.com, element14, possibly ebay, possibly allelectronics.com, anywhere that sells lots of electronic components

but its a 220 micro farad 35 volt capacitor
220uf 35V

looks like this might be what you want:

I used to work with these and they were a pain so good luck

and good luck cleaning up where you melted stuff with the iron that is not going to be easy to fix
