1  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks against the crypto on: May 08, 2019, 06:29:37 AM
Technically, banks are the ones controlling governments. Govs don't control the banks. So bank will still be around for a long time. What they do is that they adapt to how the tech advances. And govs just have to create regulations to help these bankers in order to help themselves(govs).
They don't but the fact that they are regulating the bank, they have the power to control it.
Also, the government have the power to print money which is not transparent to all of us, they can take advantage of doing illegal activities when they are in control. The biggest corruption happens within the government, so we need to change that as its our money that is being stolen, crypto is the solution as it promotes real transparency.

These are why the govs fear decentralised cryptos. They have been using regulations to save their arse all the while.
They control others and at the same time can get away with paper cash if they are the ones doing the dirty stuff.

How as an individual can I know if the Earth is a sphere or a flat disc? What experiment can I do that doesn't involve trusting information from a 3rd party that would prove what the geometry really is?

All you need to do is to travel to the antarctical and fly above it and look below. Physically.

Otherwise, here is some good information you can make use of. https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/distances.html?n=468
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Joseph Stiglitz: ‘We should shut down the cryptocurrencies’ on: May 07, 2019, 03:21:28 AM
Touché. I wonder if he even know what decentralization mean.
Fiat paper money has generated more evil than any other monetary instruments so far.
Moreover, we have seen certain countries desperately printing more papers easily. Not a good thing.

Means he don't know how blockchain work and how all transaction are visible, the most illicit activities are made with cash money, if they will use crypto they can be traced more easy and on the end someone can find where they cashout crypto.

Truly thankful that the crash victims are alive.
6  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2019 most overrated movie on: May 06, 2019, 04:34:40 AM
A fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics,  Captain Marvel is the most overrated movie 2019. well that's my own opinion anyway.
What movie do you think is overrated?

I used to watch. then i stopped years ago when i watched Ironman3. it was the movie that snapped my brain into awakening: I felt stupid to watch so many replica ironmans flying around like houseflies in the final fight   Shocked Shocked Shocked . I had enough. no more Marvel superhero movies thereafter.

7  Other / Off-topic / Re: Forgiveness on: May 06, 2019, 04:29:11 AM
I don't know how to forgive people. I live by one rule: if a person betrayed you once, he will betray you a second time

Definitely true in many cases.
The key is, never allow the same person an opportunity to betray you the second time.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON has announced that the DApps platform will comply with Japanese law on: May 06, 2019, 04:20:36 AM
So how will they achieve this without breaking decentralization or the blockchain?. My guesses are, they will desecrate the blockchain,  centralize it, use censorship, remove immutablity, introduce trust/permission, become a CEO of blockchain lol (heard there is already a CEO of tron)

Seems pretty much what their trajectory is like. Being centralised and all, anything can happen and hodlers of trx may be in for disappointment.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Scams are a global issue on: May 06, 2019, 04:14:50 AM
Scams are everywhere and it's very easy to implement a project scam in the cryptocurrency world because it is being done on the internet. The Internet can be used as a tool of scamming people especially when people get attracted to profit. Since then, I encountered a lot of scam projects for not paying the bounty hunters or the participants of the said project. I also participated in debunking a scam project to its lack of proof of legitimacy.

It's a big issue and very hard to be solved since it's being done globally and we can't control it instantly.

Negative stigma is very inherent in the world of cryptocurrency, and until now that is why some countries do not legalize crypto as a means of transaction but only in the commodity futures category.

Also because in the world, there isn't really much money to go around. Banks to Banks and those 3 big boys, its all about passing around paper with signatures on them. that's it. now this similar stuff is coming forth digitally.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is urgent. Argentina is printing free money too on: May 06, 2019, 04:11:49 AM
they do not save the market by printing money, because when printing a lot of money, the value of the currency will decrease and it will show up on the balance sheet in the forex market.
they just adjusted their economy by printing money, not making their country richer by printing money. Cheesy

Absolutely. Seem like they failed to learn from US.

when a currency is being floated too much into the market, it lose value easily

Some times, when offers are too good to be true, they probably really are too good to be true.
Just exercise caution and do extra checks.

Did this popcorn guy finally started doing his own research?

If yes, that's awesome. Congrats and welcome at level 1.

And there is the Bilderberg group.
13  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Seasteading on: December 10, 2018, 01:56:30 AM

I like the idea of this developing into a society based upon blockchain.
If the seastead takes off and becomes stable it could create a very rich zone for blockchain development and real world testing, becoming the blockchain equivalent of silicon valley and attracting a lot of interest and investment on the world stage.

This is a very good notion. I like that. It can be a good breakthrough in human history and would become the 5th "industrial" revolution.

Countless things can be done through blockchain and irs a good place to start something on a notable scale

That's why we elected Obama in America. He was a clown. At least Trump is serious.

Cool
Good one. 😂

https://www.c[Suspicious link removed]m/2018/09/26/billionaire-la-times-owner-calls-social-media-the-cancer-of-our-time.html

For once, I agree with a billionaire.  Roll Eyes

Social Media is a perfect gateway to push fake news down the throat of all readers. It indeed is cancerous.
With the rise of AI and Bots. Fake news will be evermore a greater problem that has the potential to ignite fear, uncertainty and doubt. It can fool even the educated.

So... if WW3 happens... social media may play a part in causing it.
16  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Genetic Engineering of Humans on: December 09, 2018, 05:44:54 AM
I think that this already happened since we are cloning animals way a long time ago. All these experiments occur and if they have a positive result then they are shown on the public light but if the public opinion doesn't like the idea then the labs or the government would not share anything

Very right. I believe so too. First of all secret Gov projects do not really need the public opinion. They would already have done that to actual humans.

Perhaps like what we see in movie Bourne Legacy. Meds that permanently alter the capacity of human physiques and cognitive enhancements... are probably real and tested already.

Much like how advanced mobile technology were actually existed at least 3 decade before public get hold of them.

17  Other / Politics & Society / Re: overpopulation. are we being cheated?! on: December 09, 2018, 05:30:37 AM
That is assuming the entire 100 billion do not consume meat?

You can grow all your own food in your apartment using modern techniques. We don't really need farmland.

Oh well...

And that is without the global warming
18  Other / Politics & Society / Re: overpopulation. are we being cheated?! on: December 09, 2018, 02:46:19 AM
When the world hit 10 billion, you will have a legit problem. Food. Where will the food come from?

Pollution cleanup will not help with the food supply.

Because of all these, i am beginning to believe 500million is all the earth need. Just like what was written on the Stone in Georgia.

If you include seasteading, along with pollution clean-up, we are looking at a world that can handle 100 billion.

Cool
19  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Selling 22.3k twitter account on: November 26, 2018, 01:19:41 AM
Why would you sell your twitter account?
Are you looking to scam someone then later try to recover it? Come on

Good point there... 😃
