1  Bitcoin / Mining support / adding another asic miner issues on: February 11, 2014, 06:19:08 PM
im fairly new to bit-coin mining with ASIC miners so this might sound like a dumb one for the longtermers here but im having issues

i managed to get another one cheap from Ebay (lol £5 because the seller listed it wrong lol)

i use BFGminer and Ive made a new worker name and pass for it. also copied the code into the new BFGminer - shortcut(2) and changed the user.worker and pass to suit

but im buggered if i can get it to run along side my 1st miner.... it just closes as if i have the "Target" code wrong

it does show a line of text in the window before it closes but its that fast i haven't been able to read it or even take a screen of it.

just to try and add as much info as possible for someone who may have had the same problems in the past:

both ASICs are in a powered usb hub with an old usb laptop fan to provide a little airflow
i have noticed that the new one is reacting like its in use even though the bgfminer window is only recognizing my worker1 (intermittent flash from the led and getting warm)
my pc recognizes both are installed correctly
my hash is the same as running 1 miner

any useful/relevant info/help! would be greatly appreciated

if i can get 2 working i can start looking for more as i live in shared accomadation and dont pay the electric bill lol  Tongue
