1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: May 02, 2018, 08:30:23 PM
Anyone knows why "--plimit=" command is not working with Z-enemy 1.08?
Or if it works at all?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [1080 | 1080TI] ETHlargement - The Hashrate Hardener on: April 27, 2018, 11:35:28 AM
newbie question:

How to use "--revA" option?

I tried using a .bat file, would this work?

OhGodAnETHlargementPill-r2.exe --revA 2,3,5
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.6 (Windows/Linux) on: April 07, 2018, 07:24:43 PM
I have a problem with one of my rigs running claymore v11.6 -

- EthDcrMiner64.exe stopped working. -

The big issue is actually the stupid windows error window (the one that pops up) that "locks" my miner and it is unable to restart, or even restart my rig.

Is there any way to keep the cmd window with claymore active or to automatically close the "Error" popup window?

Much appreciated.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Drivers Graphic VS Compute settings Issue on: February 19, 2018, 08:29:04 PM
Sorry to dig up this old thread, but I tried and my regedit shows all them values at "2" so... can't change that (1 of six RX 580) card from graphics to compute... still.
Anyone else found a workaround for this?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.5 (Windows/Linux) on: January 23, 2018, 12:32:11 AM
I have troubles with my 6x rx 580 rig:
While the settings are ok and I did successfully flash the bios, seems that I still have to apply voltages using wattman.

Any idea why I am unable to set them from my start.bat?

Are you using claymore 10.5? If yes, sometimes I need to open and close the claymore bat for 2-3 times to set correctly the configs. Open, wait the last setting dag file and close. Do it for more 2-3 times.

YES - as in: you are right! had to restart it couple of times to get the settings. using claymore 10.4 atm, no reason to go for 10.5, at least from patch notes...
THX MAN!

You can not breake line in you start.bat
You can either remove linebreaks or (better) set your OC settingth in config file, please see README of Claymore.

Thx man, "great" help.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MON | Monocle | Merge Mined on VTC Vertcoin - No Premine - Scrypt-N on: May 02, 2014, 08:40:44 PM
Ok I could really use some help with the config file for monocle wallet.
Do I need one?
If yes could someone be so kind to post a model?

You only need to have a monocle.conf if you are going to be mining on your OWN hosted p2pool locally

If that's what your gonna do, then make a monocle.conf and put this in the conf

server=1
gen=0
rpcport=6888
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=usernamehere
rpcpassword=pw_here

Ok thx. I am not gonna mine on my own p2pool so I'll just wait for the first payment.

Any calculator coming soon?

monocle wallet is not updating

no block source available..

any ideas

I put some addnode= entries in the OP - add those to monocle.conf and restart the daemon/wallet

Sorry for newb question:

How to use addnode?  Sad
11  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Getting 5 video cards to work on Z68AP-D3 on: March 23, 2014, 12:13:35 PM
Hello guys.
So I am new at this cryptocurrency stuff and I tried to make my first rig.
I got 1 x 7970 ghx ed from sapphire from my old comp will be considered 280x from now on
        2 x 280x vapor x sapphire
got   2 x 290 gigabyte windforce couple weeks ago.

My mainboard  Gigabyte Z69AP-D3 has 5 slots: 1pci-1x, 1pci-16x, 1pci-1x, 1pci-1x and 1pci-4x.

http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4015#ov

I am using an ivy bridge processor, I updated bios to before UEFI version.

I got myself 5 powered usb risers and here comes trouble:

only 4 of them work, got the 5th one tested @ service and I was told defective pcb.

But I say hey I can still put one card in the pci-4x so let's try that.

Only worked with 5 cards once (used a short in the last pci-1x slot) but after system locked in windows when I started miner with wrong
 settings (mixed cards, different order resulted in crashed miner with locked system) it did not work again. After reboot it would not work
again. I got the card out of the pci-4x slot, tried with only 4 cards. Works on every slot, every combination.

The mainboard configuration only allows for 1 video card to be inserted in the pci-4x slot when using risers for the others.

Atm I got 3x280x and 1x290 working ok.

but if I put board nr. 5 in pci-4x slot it is not detected by windows.

Should I try making a better wire to short it?

After reading/trying all sort of combos for 2 days I have to turn to asking around for some pointers...

Thank you for reading  Smiley

I managed to get my 2x R9 280x vapor x working @ 375kh/s each

here are my settings:

setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum12.dogehouse.org:9091 -u x -p x -I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 1076,1072 --gpu-memclock 1500,1500 ---temp-cutoff 85 --temp-overheat 80 --temp-target 75 --auto-fan

,
"intensity" : "13",
"worksize" : "256",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"auto-fan" : true,
"gpu-fan" : "70-80,70-80",
"gpu-engine" : "1076,1072",
"gpu-memclock" : "1500,1500",
"gpu-powertune" : "10,10",
"thread-concurrency" : "8192",
"expiry" : "30",
"gpu-threads" : "2",
"scan-time" : "5"

Temperatures are 59 for first and 70 degrees for the second one.

Any recomandations for some risers? I can't seem to make up my mind on what I see online.

Can share 3 more info?

1. Pool Difficulty for the Worker
2. Reject, Hardware Error, Working Unit
3. Miner version cgminer? verminer?

I notice my hashrate remains over 440kH for R290 but WU fluctuate depending on the pool difficulty for worker.  When difficulty is below 32, WU is very close to 400.  When the difficulty going up to 64,128 or even 256, the W.U. drop drastically to less than 380kH/s.

If you have 2 GPU most likely I guess your difficulty will be maximum at 256 or more and WU propably only 70% of 375x2 = 525kH/s if you are using traditional pool.

WU varies between 650 and 750. No HW or rejects. Pool difficulty varries.
