1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: felling depressed for holding bitcoin :/ on: March 30, 2018, 02:56:19 AM
When you think about being depressed...  Think about the people that thought Bitcoins were worthless.  I was selling them for $7-$15 back in the day.  I probably deleted 40-50+ Bitcoins off a hard drive.  I still have a few addresses from 2011-12 that just sit there.  I'm married with kids, drowning in debt...... remember it could always be worse.  those bitcoins could've changed my life.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin will end soon? on: March 30, 2018, 02:50:41 AM
Beginning of the end?  I used to sell bitcoins for $7.  I thought $75-$100 was crazy!  this happens every year.  Coins start to pickup after summer.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: January 19, 2018, 01:20:42 AM
Thanks to the guys that were posting near Christmas.  I mined this coin at the very beginning. Sold some when nobody could find out who was mining the coin.   Every 15 days I would open the wallet so it could stake.  However, in December I decided to sell everything.  I already lived through one huge ponzi with Paycoin.   that's were I learned my lesson.  Hopefully all the new people will learn from this.  even if you have to take some time away from cryto.  I took a year off after Paycoin.

AGM, do you have another graph? A couple pages ago you were sure posting the maketcap graphs left and right.  Not doing that anymore?
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: And now we are below 13000$ - down 6000$ in just 4 days on: December 22, 2017, 08:19:51 AM
Bitcoin is still a King.

King of what?  King of high fees?  I forgot Bitcoin was created only for the rich.  It's not for the people that have a little bitcoin and what to buy a game or pc component.

To me it just looks like the BTC rich are satisfied with the money they made this holiday season.  It will be up again next November.

Hi, I just bought some coins.  Then I sent them to my local wallet.  When I tried to encrypt the wallet it crashed.  I still have my first wallet.dat, but my coins aren't showing up.  How do I retrieve that first wallet address?

Is your wallet fully synced? If yes, you can try the wallet repair options under "Tools" in the Phore Core Wallet.

Do you know how I can try to repair if the original wallet.dat won't load up.  every time I put it in the folder and try to restart it says wallet is corrupt, salvage failed.

thanks for any info.

Just remember.  People with huge amounts of Bitcoin (whales and super whales) don't make money with a steady increase.  it's like they need big drops......wait  Lips sealed

anyone remember when bitcoin was $12?  and people think a drop to $4000 is low.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is declining as top crypto currency. Why? on: May 31, 2017, 03:20:54 AM
That's what happens when GREEDY, RICH, Corporations hog all the hash.   Don't think for one minute their mining for the greater good of Bitcoin and it's adoption.

Let's see,  the rich own fiat and now Bitcoin...what's not to love?  Do you think the pioneers wanted this for Bitcoin in the beginning?

I've been mining around 11 months.   But I have to move to something else.  When the greedy farms move in and hog all hash, it's eliminates all the small home miners.  God, I miss the days before greed and roi took over.

wow, a lot of greedy farms showing up at the pools.  again. I know they showed up a couple days ago and then left.  price/profit not enough for you to stay with 1 coin?

There are 10 times as many miners on DGB than there were just 2 weeks ago.

5 times as many as 2 days ago!

DGB is in the spotlight.

yep, these huge farms hogging the coin make me sick.  where were these huge , greedy miners a year or six months ago?  hey anonymous on suprnova take your 5,845,310 KH/s somewhere else.  What the coin you were mining not making you enough money.   sorry just had to say it.   Wink
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bismuth - New Language, Interpretation Engines, DAPPs on: May 05, 2017, 01:10:45 AM
is this coin CPU or GPU based mining?

Some guys seem to rent superb rigs to dominate the output.

You have to love when these greedy fucks ruin it for everyone.   Gone are the days of a community run coin , now it's just greedy farm corps/people.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [LUNA] LunaCoin | PoW\PoS | Scrypt on: April 20, 2017, 09:11:28 PM
Wow that's a shame that Luna was a scam.  I remember watching a chat box on an exchange thinking it might.  I also cashed out of that exchange...just to scummy for my taste.

anyways, that site that Luna had was interesting.  Hopefully the coin can make a comeback!
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: |ANN| |SPEEDCASH| |X13| Fast, Private, Secure, Untraceable and Decentralized on: April 19, 2017, 09:08:04 PM
The yobit link in the first page links to SCS ticker.  but I see a SCASH.  which one is which?  I mined a couple coins to the one linked (SCS) but they have no record.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: April 17, 2017, 08:51:45 PM
yep I just had to go with my gut.  I've mined and staked this coin and happy with the profit I've made.  However, when someone stakes 30000 coins and 90% of mining is private I had to sell all my coins.  something didn't feel right at the time of the dump.  so I sold right after the massive dump and glad I did.  I kept just a small amount for staking.  but what's the point of staking when you have HUGE wallets doing the same.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: April 13, 2017, 08:46:32 PM
I'm fine with a coin surging and continuing to grow.  I just don't like the idea of huge backroom hashing power mining 95% of all coins.  wouldn't the creator of this coin want it in as many hands as possible.  not just 6-10 people.

scorpio18,  I was talking about your pool.   Publicly your pool has the most hashing power.  I couldn't believe it could go hours without finding a block.  That's why I checked the explorer.  Unreal how much other "private" hashing power there is.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: April 13, 2017, 03:11:47 AM
I've been mining bcc off and on for a couple months.  It's difficult to mine when you have huge farms just hogging every last coin.  I do have a question though.  The pool I mine at (I think) has the most hashing power.  It's going a long time without finding a block.  So I checked out the explorer.  Can someone explain block 69033.  Is that right?  30000 bcc?  How is that possible?  Stake?  Or is that a payment?

https://www.blockexperts.com/bcc/height/69033

if the public pools blocks are visible, does that mean there are huge private pools mining this coin?
20  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo segwit mining USA/DE 230 blocks solved! on: April 09, 2017, 04:29:30 AM
Good luck VT!

I know Bitcoin has changed.  Unfortunately,  I feel for the worse.  I don't think the pioneers created bitcoin just for the rich and wealthy.  that's what fiat is for!

As -ck said at one time Bitcoin was $3.  I was an avid overclocker back in 2010-11, so I would reformat my hard drives for running benchmarks.  at that time I had multiple 5870 cards.  2 for me 2 for my son.  I had 2 more 5870 just for hardware reviews for websites.  I remember reformatting a drive with at least 30-35 (maybe more) bitcoins.  Why?  It was different back then....they were $3-$5.  Do you have any idea how sick I've been since Nov 13?  That's why I pull for the little guys.  No offense to the big farms out there.

I only posted when I thought the (little guy) had hit a block.  Not knowing they hit multiples.  Let's see be happy for someone hitting their first....or a corp like Bitm...

oh here's another one I found looking for old wallets.

a nice $3700+ just sitting there forever.
