1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Rouble crash didn't give a chance to Bitcoin? on: December 17, 2014, 10:50:32 AM
The problem is not, not knowing the bitcoins. The problem is getting anything for RUB, like USD or bitcoins. There is a limit for buying USD and there is not many place to echange RUB.
You can use some indirect transfers of rouble with lots of fees. And the process is complicated.
Once You get ie. USD what to do with them? Send them back to Your account and risk it will go away ? Sure You can always send it to a bank account abroad.
Some say its the end of RUB but it has to stop at one point.
Not sure if it helps for RUB holders but recently Bitcoin exchange Bitcurex.com has been supporting direct RUB wire transfer.

Polecam nowy dostępny w Polsce kantor BTC - Cryptoins.com

So anyone can send a direct RUB transfer by a wire transfer and get USD automatically?
Is there a limit for a RUB deposit after beeing verified?

Let the Russians start our next pump!

Deposit RUB directly, get USD, buy BTC. Up to 3300 USD without verification. Plain and simple. Smiley

Ok. I would like to try with one blade ~5btc is not much if it work out it will be nice service. Dont worry about anything just collect coins. Even if it wont hit ROI.
When will you be making next group order?
7  Economy / Services / Re: BEEHOST - ASIC hosting on: September 14, 2013, 10:00:08 AM
This look very promising.

Few questions:

1. If I want to buy let say a blade with you, does it already on sale or will you have to order it?
2. What about downtime? Or power shortage, what with mining than?
3. Can I have some kind of written contract?
4. Is there a site with your project?
5. Why not dig on other sites or in p2pool?

Thx

How much for 10 blades?

Do you have that amount in stock?

I'm in process of understanding the buying process.

I will go troug with that. I would want 10 blades, but what shipping cost (weight) I should choose?

please reserve 10 blades for me. I'm sending btcs

Hi

Can I buy 10 blades to EU?

What would be the shipping cost?

I have noticed it also. (the green led thingy) but, when I addd some cooling ... it does not longer happens. So I think maybe the BE100 is overheating?
Also on my 108BEE's farm it happens from time to time. But it is a very short strong bleep.

Right now at 16Mhz 458 448 Mhz one on 1.4V the other on 1.3, Can tell right now wich one is which after 13 hours... it seems that its working but replace the crystal is darn hard.

How many MH/s do your sticks run?

One 448Mh/s one 458Mh/s. I dont think I will go for all BEE replacing 16Mhz ... I wonder what to do with the heatsinks I ordered.
Maybe i will stick them to normal Bees
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Block Erupter USB - Overclocking/ hacking ? on: August 23, 2013, 08:00:22 AM
Hi everyone been following this thread quite a lot, so I decided to get one of these devices and of course modify it. I decided to run the clock from a Tektronix function generator, all works as expected at 12 MHz. Although I have not modified the power supply yet I notice at any rate about 12 MHz the green led starts staying on longer than the short blip. If I go to 13 MHz it stays on a little longer and at 14 longer still. While it is hashing it seem to be faster but the delay after it gets done acts like it limits it back to the stock freq. I don't know this for sure yet. I also attempted to remove the regulator IC and feed power directly form the lab supply, while the voltage was correct I could not get it to work at all, green LED went off but cgminer said no devices found, put the IC back in and went back to work, I just pulled the chip and fed where the inductor was. It did draw 1.4A at 1.05V not sure why it didn't work unless there is some kind of power sequence thing. I hope to play with it more tomorrow so we'll see if I make any head way.

At 5.6V At USB port it seems lower the current. but still from 1.12 to 1A, its too much.

Now its 5.11V but still 500mA for 100Mh# its pointless.

PS. Ok one BEE seems to be working stable with proper heat disipation (I broke the other one Cheesy), Now I will try to lower the current by adjusting the voltage, the one stable is 1.4V, I will try to go to 1.2 and see how it goes or even a bit lower (I have 1.2k 0.1% Resistors so quite precise).
16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Block Erupter USB - Overclocking/ hacking ? on: August 22, 2013, 03:54:30 PM
Does anyone who made to 16MHz oscilator upgrade measured the current?

It seems its 1A at +5V line. Voltage is 1.28V and they turn on an off, its not a stable run.

100Mh# more = 500mA more? Its pointles in that way.

I will try with cooling maybe this will help but 1A for BEE I think its too much.
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Block Erupter USB - Overclocking/ hacking ? on: August 20, 2013, 10:02:59 PM
Unfortunatelly I had to custom order them.
They are not in stock.I made too big 50mm it was for the tests, final design will have 40mm lenght and total width is 20mm (Erupters fits perfeclty inside), With 0.3 mm thermalpad it will fit even the small ones to BE100 chip and the other small thingy to the right.

PS. My crystals will be here tomorrow but I wont be able to change them untill the day after tomorrow. Still have to buy Flux for SMD desoldering and soldering.

18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Which USB hub to use with Block Erupters or K1? A List. on: August 20, 2013, 05:53:06 PM
Just out of curiosity, I'm about to upgrade my farm to 450Mhz per BEE, therefor I got Custom heat sink.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=241652.msg2973460#msg2973460

Unfortunatelly I will have to use smaller 7port Hubs for it, with new heat sink they won't fit in 10's
19  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Block Erupter USB - Overclocking/ hacking ? on: August 20, 2013, 05:49:40 PM
I'm about to change my farm to 16 Mhz oscilator, (waiting for oscilators) but finally the custom heat sink has arrived 21x more surface than orriginal.
Original version will be 40mm so it will fit perfeclty for BEE. I made some measurments and on open air and its .... almost 30 degree Celcious difference (30 minuts with custom heat sink, 12 minutes on stock)
Unfortunatelly the small heat sinks wont fit once the BEE's will be in HUB, (or maybe they will have to check when more heat sinks will arrive) also I was using 1.3mm thermopad (0.3 on its way) it should help.
Add a fan to it ... and probably the *C will not be more than 30.

On Stock heat sink, the temp of BE100 quickly raises to 60 after short time, 80*C, while the heat sink is 53*C degree.
On Custom (without small ones) temp slowly go to 53 both on heat sink and BE100 chipset
On Custom (with small ones) temp quickly go to 53 but the heat sink heats slow to 50 - eventually 53*C

I think I wont use the small ones if they won't fit, it should protect the BEE from more heat while at 16Mhz crystal.

Updated the OP. See if I overlooked any mods.

Oh and I saw this on MinePeon thread. Reposting:

Did you make or bought the power cables from PSU to the HUB's? I'm also using one of those 10 ports HUB (with 9 USB Gizmos), with a Velleman multivolt, that gives 7,5 Amperes @ 5 volts.
Originally I ordered some 2.1mm connectors but they haven't arrived, being impatient I cut the 5V lines out of the molex connectors of the atx psu (bottom of pic) and soldered the 5V wires straight to the hub.. and plugged the fans into the molex (which now only has 12V lines).

ATX PSU has 28A @ 5V  4X 20A @ 12V (Reserved for K16`s)
Your idea is great... i "invented" a cable, but I'm connecting the 10 ports HUB to the HD molex cable and 2 or 3 of the Gizmos were in error... perhaps not enaph current... Better to connect again to the Velleman 7,5 amperes PU.

Some said that problem with ATX power supply is that even if it says the current on +5V line is enough, You have to Load the PSU with all lines (like it is in PC) 12V3.3 +5-5 -12 etc etc, Only than the PSU ATX will work as it should be (dunno why). If done on a single 5V line there will be a hudge voltage drop, and below 4V on USB port Errupters won't work.
But I might be wrong, someone might have done something wrong while connecting.
Best choice is the industrial power supply cooled with a FAN, 2x30A with 100 BEE is working perfeclty as planed.

Now I'm planning toupgrades BEEs to 16Mhz crystal (450 Mhz), more power drained more heat, (new heat sinks should be here today You will love them), Disadvantage is that you probably can't run it on normal HUB due to more than 500mA of current (once its done I will make all measurments necessary and post them).

If its not for USB 3.0 HUB's which have 12VDC power input.... it will damage 5V Hubs.
