To everyone experiencing very high rejected ratio in the last two days.

I am working on investigating this issue. This is likely because of some change which I made yesterday plus your worker ignoring clear-jobs: false parameter in the work which is sent to it.

If you experience this issue, please write what software do you use for mining - exact name and version.

bfgminer 3.10.0 (ubuntu 12.04)

Higher than usual rejects today should be fixed now. I made some changes earlier today which unfortunately introduced a bug. It's fixed now.

Also I fixed some other issues which were causing some miners to disconnect if they didn't get jobs often enough. Current jobs are rebroadcasted now quit often so that your miners won't think that the connection to the pool is stale. Previously some miners wasted time to disconnect and reconnect if they didn't hear from the pool. It wasn't affecting lot of miners, but if your miners were doing this, your hashrate should increase.

Turk, still sitting at about 50% rejects. Im on the east cost hitting the ny server. Up until about I guess 2pm or 3pm yesterday I was near 0% rejects.

Updated by bios' again. Dropped the voltage on one card to 1.0v flat. (812/1375) .. 560khs. Powertuned -20.

The other 710khs, powertune 0 (-20 takes it to 610khs).. 1.125v (1024/1735)

in both cases powertune +20 helps nothing.

Should mention also that I use a thread concurrency of 10240 and -g 2

Keeping with a 0.59 ratio. I increased the cpu/mem clocks from 1024/1735 to 1060/1795. Kept the same voltage of 1.125 and boosted the powertune to +20. Now hashing away at 735+ khs. Incredible. To think I was running this at 1.256 and barely scratching 700. The GHZ reference bios is great. All it needed was to be tweaked down. Hashed all day with 1024/1735. Will continue hashing at 1060/1795 and see where it takes me.

Drakoin dude your work has inspired me.

have a couple shitty HIS 7970 reference cards that arent totally reference. Cant seem to hash over 570 (925/1375) on one and 710 (1024/1750) on the other.

Anyways I was running both with powertune +20, the 710 had 4500rpm fan speed at 1.256v while the 570 was taking 1.17v stock.

the 570 card is still hashing at 570 but at (812/1375 mhz) and a cool 1.025v with a powertune -20 .. fan is at 43% (2700 rpm). I might try and lower the v more but going to pick up a killawatt meter and give it a scan.

the 710 card is now hashing at 610 but at (885/1500 mhz) and a lower 1.200V with a powertune -20.. fan at 49% (3200rpm).

Will get the meter and post my results.. very interested in knowing the benefit and if I can maximize that spread further.

Why are we not mining LTC with the current LTC profit? Its less then 95%...

You have no idea whats being mined. And if its at 95% of LTC there is a good probability its mining LTC.

waffle earns me less than half of clever in any 24 hour mining shift.

The bigger problem than lack of regional servers is a performance issue in a 3rd party stratum server software which I'm using. I've been testing and bugfixing another stratum server software today and it looks promising. I need to test it and monitor while running a little bit more, but I'm very optimistic. I will continue tomorrow (need to catch a little bit sleep).

Once it's solved, I'm launching EU and Asia servers with the new software and setup. There's no point in replicating current inefficient setup to other servers as I think latency causes 20-30% and performance issues cause 70-80% of current rejected ratio. I hope to have these problems solved tomorrow.

Would be great.. seeing how ive had a 100% reject rate for I dont know how long over night. Your stats only show for the last hour.. while my mining stats show an equal rate of rejects to accepted which is a 50% reject rate. It must have started ok about 7pm est last night.. but some time after that it just went full 100% rejects.

Did my own comparison of just Clever, Waffle and Coinsolver.

Clever came out on top.. thought Coinsolver was next but Waffle looks better. Im speaking to strictly profits though and not comparing rejects or any other criteria.

Interested in seeing your results.

Mined a full 24 hours on coinsolver. Profit was about 40% more on clever.

1. Clever
2. Coinsolver
3. Wafflepool.

Finally,

My riser cables arrived, plugged all 6 R9 280x cards into H81 pro btc board and they just would not play together nicely. All cards in rig are 3gb Gigabyte R9280x windforce 3 (GV-R9280XOC-3GD-GA)

In device manager, Yellow exclamation mark next to 1 or 2 varying. Only picking up 4 or 5 cards varying.

Have tried powered risers, non-powered risers, power plugged into the 2 molex SLI / Crossfire points on board just about every CCC available, drivers direct from Gigabyte etc

After trying numerous different drivers, complete re install of win 8.1 64bit and still not partying together I tried something a little different.

When installing the drivers manually that came with windows, there was an option of hardware detected HD7900 series or R9 280x, I chose to install the HD7900 series and the OS then picked up on all 6 cards, no yellow exclamation mark next to any. All cards working and hashing over 700kh each.

I know its not exactly correct setup but it's working, as the R9 280x is a rebadged HD7900 series I guess the bios or firmware is telling the board they are 7900s. They are all working and partying together nicely so it will do for me until the correct bios updates and drivers are released.

So now I have all 8 of my R9 280Xs running and providing total hash rates of 56000kh/s.

Hope this might be of help to anyone else having issues with the H81pro BTC board, my power config is 2 x corsair AX1200i's
:1 powering board and 2 cards with powered riser cables x1, power NOT plugged into molex SLI/Crossfire sockets on MBoard
:1 powering 4 cards all cards using powered riser cables x1, power NOT plugged into molex SLI/Crossfire sockets on MBoard

Win 8.1, using cgminer 3.7.2
Windows drivers HD7900 series on 6 all cards.
I13, W256, g2, thread concurrency 8192, gpu clock 1100, mem 1500, voltage1200, autofan. Best card is hashing 766 and worst 698 monitor display card. All rest in-between. Temps from 67c -83c open air mining rig.

Desktop running 2 x R9 280xs (XFX R9280x TFDF) win 8.1 64bit, Drivers CCC 13.2 hashing at 700-710 each
I 13, g2, thread concurrency 8192, gpu 1020, mem 1500, powertune +20, autofan. temps 67-84 in closed desktop.

When rig first went on rejects upto 37% but overnight it has settled back down to follow pool average reject rate.

Location UK.

Hope this might help someone.

Happy mining,
Axco.

After an 8 hour mining shift on Wafflepool my calculations show I definitely earned more on clevermining even with the higher reject / discard rate. Looks like ill be making cleverpool my primary.

Cheers.

Can't believe you were acheiving the profits you hav been without.knowing that all the 'random' block reward coins use a known seed with a predictable rnd function - if this wasn't the case, you could specify max block reward for every block and it would be accepted by the network, obviously.

I will watch over the next few days and see if this pool has gotten it figured out well enough to deserve my hashes.  Profitability will have to kill wafflepool for that to be the case tho, given you are just catching on to some of the simplest tricks and still don't show any reasonable mining stats.

Just switched to Wafflepool. Found a block within seconds. Reject rate is super low currently compared to clevermining. My discards are also now a fraction of what I was getting. Looks like ill stick to wafflepool for the time being.

Cheers.

Started mining on this pool and my discard rate percentage is crazy.

Getworks   Accepted   Rejected   Hardware Errors   Utility   Discarded
337           39           9           0                   1.765           669

scan time = 28
expiry = 7
queue = 1

even at queue 0 it was this bad.. tried 30/30 on scan and expiry and no diff..

is this normal for the pool ?
