Don't buy coins during a pump. Admit you missed that train and stay away. Buy promising looking coins with low marketcaps and growth potential and be patient. Don't buy after the marketcap has risen 100x already. If a coin is being hyped and praised as the second coming of satoshi, stay away. Even if it is a legit project, the dump will come and you can buy in cheaper. Don't panic because the coins you are holding haven't doubled in price an hour after you bought them or they have stumbled in price. Crypto is cyclical. Only the pure pumps and dumps die completely. Coins with solid development and community support rise (and fall) again eventually. When you are holding a coin whose 6 month price charts looks like the black line below, sell where those red arrows are pointing.  NIIIIICE picture!!! In a nutshell this is the way it is.  |

Seems to me the writers of this article have only chosen the coins they like to promote! No single word about NXT or NEM or another faithful venture. |

I know there have been thousands of knock offs of Bitcoin but I want to make my own coin. I have some ideas which will hopefully make it a distinct coin and a legit coin which will actually be worth something. Unfortunately, I don't have the skills as far as programming and other things to make it and I was wondering if anyone was willing to help
First of all you need to be a long-time member of bitcointalk with good reputation. Without accusing you people dont trust newbie-accounts easily because of all those scams in 2014. |

Sharecoin, it's totally a scam.
I still have $150 worth of sharecoins that are now worthless. I should have dumped them when I had the chance. I lost some money on sharexcoin.com. This dev has stolen everything we put on this exchange. |

I've seen just the peak of paycoin and I thought to myself 2 things:
In the first second: F**k, I was too late to buy in.
In the second second: Puh, I should be glad to have missed it. There were the signs that this coin was pumped a little.

The interface is much like the sharexcoin.com. So beware it's a scam exchange. OMG- you are right ! I hate what he has done with his coin and his own exchange. This site is looking similar and so professional like the old one before. |

Don't go out of bitcoin and co!! At least stay on bitcointalk and when you are getting more interested in btc and alts again, come back and be active again. Most time I spend on bitcointalk is just for reading to stay up-to-date. So do it like me if you dont want to miss something. Have you already tried to quit bitcoin and co for a longer time? I tried it- but I was thinking about it all the time or I was looking after coinmarketcap almost every day. So to speak Bitcoin and Co became a lovely addiction to me. I guess you'll miss a thing when you are getting out  |

Looking for the coin that will have high correlation for going up when Bitcoin goes down, and why.
In your shoes, I would buy NEM and NXT. Surely both of them are the best examples of the second generation which probably will have the power, the support, the technical attributes to survive most of the altcoins. Maybe we all make a huge mistake with our chosen altcoins. You can't get a guarantee for everything. But in case I could just choose 1 altcoin, it would be NEM. +1 if you like centralization where you making the NXT and NEM devs super rich , I would go for these two. You cannot enrich NEM-devs. They just get about 1% of all available NEM. Therefore it is NOT possible to enrich them. |

Hey guys, hitbtc.com looks very very nice! if NEM was listed there from the beginning would be awesome! perhaps utopianfuture can try?  I never read about this exchange. Is this a new one? Worst thing you could do is to distribute 1/3rd of the coins among the 1200 users and keep the remianing coins for yourself.
Even if you are going to give these coins away later, people will always tell you, that you knept 2/3rd of the initial coins. (= unfaire distribution )
I dont want to tell you how to act and what to do.
Just do the right thing ! and put some thought into your decision.
I agree with this. Can you confirm IPO is over and all coins will be distributed to the 1200 accounts? This would be the wisest thing to do - the IPO has been open for weeks now. Those who are interested have applied. Simply divide the total number of NODE between the registered stakeholders and nobody can claim an unfair distribution. But in this case I would miss the IPO. I was so glad to see there will be set up a second round, so I can participate another day after deadline of 25th may. |
