4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too much hacking on: January 12, 2015, 04:23:00 AM
Is Bitcoin really this safe with all this hacking going on?

I really need to know before I throw a ton of money towards it.

I think the huge price swings and instability in price added the complications of keeping your coins safe puts people off for sure.
Its so easy to make a mistake and all your coins are just 'Gone', I've nearly lost my many coins quite a few times and aged about 10 years in the process  Huh
5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KnC Miner list of orders - Neptune on: July 14, 2014, 12:04:18 PM
How many have you Batch 1 customers have received there miners?
I bought some Batch 1's just after the customer Batch but i havent recieved anything,
They have not even changed my order status.
And i think people are confusing Batch 1 with the customer batch?
I'm just wandering are they now likely to start shipping the Batch 1s?

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 304517 -- A BIG Block! on: June 06, 2014, 10:22:27 PM
...

Block 304517 (won by BTC Guild) came in at a (gross) amount of $126,442,364.66 !!

I have not seen one that big before.

I do know that BTC Guild itself saw nowhere near that amount, but someone made/transferred a lot of money today.  I hope they donīt spend it all in one place.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 90 BTC stolen! on: June 06, 2014, 10:14:10 PM
Use a cold wallet next time.

I imagine losing 90 BTC is enough to taint this poor guys thoughts about Bitcoin.
If you do stick with it. Do as others have said and use Cold Storage for large amounts and get Linux as apposed to Windows.
