8 Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [9 TH] Bitparking Pool, DGM 0%,vardiff,stratum,Merge Mining on: April 02, 2014, 09:39:30 AM
is this gonna get us a block? once every 6 months or so, would be nice Angry
sorry but with no input on this thread from the pool-op, no apologies for the length of time we've been hashing without a block and no blocks for a record amount of time. I'm over on another DGM pool now. have fun folks and enjoy my dust.
You expect someone to apologize for random luck (or lack thereof)?

no but some contact would be nice. i have no expectations where bitparking is concerned.

Looking back at the stats, it appears to be a pool of where once your in, your in and it should even itself out.

I've been mining here for two weeks now with my 200GHS and could have made elsewhere but I'm in it now for the foreseeable future. If I jump now I'd be even worse off.
9 Economy / Currency exchange / Re: And the same day bit121.co.uk announced that they are closing down on: March 28, 2014, 01:04:35 PM
Interesting enough, the only bitcoin exchange which operated in the UK to date since November 2013, bit121.co.uk, yesterday announced that they are closing down. Coincedence? By the way, they were descent enough.. They had no API, slow deposit/withdrawal, no even ticker. But they looked trustworthy and would be a nice option for those who don't trade often. It's a shame they are closing down.

The close down appears to be temporary - maybe they know they need to come back with something more competitive?
10 Economy / Currency exchange / New exchange for the UK - www.coinfloor.co.uk on: March 28, 2014, 09:04:59 AM
Saw yesterday on coindesk there is a new UK exchange opening - www.coinfloor.co.uk: -

Further information here: -

I'm not affiliated with this in anyway - I want to let fellow Brits know about this Grin

We need a decent exchange for the UK.
11 Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to rebroadcast an unconfirmed tx in an encrypted wallet? on: March 21, 2014, 02:25:57 PM
I assume you are using bitcoin qt. If you are not, please tell me which wallet you are using, and ignore the following.

To re-broadcast your tx, first get the raw transaction.

Open bitcoin-qt, click "Help, then click "Debug window" and click "Console".
Enter "getrawtransaction <your tx id>" (without the " and <>)

Copy the long strings and enter it on http://blockchain.info/pushtx

Thanks for your help. Yes, I'm using bitcoin-qt.

Can I delete this tx if I don't want to rebroadcast and send it. I can't make sure whether the exchange can get the coin because I have generated a new address in the exchange platform.

If you stop broadcasting it, it will never get around the nodes/network. Have you seen how you can re-import your wallet? Then you old transaction will be gone and no longer broadcasting.
12 Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I need to buy a Bitcoin ATM - UK delivery - asap on: March 21, 2014, 02:16:05 PM
How does one make money from the atms ... like standard ones where they pay a fee?

If so what is the fee that you have seen? .0001btc? (example only)

It must be on the trade of you obtaining the BTC to sell to somebody else via the ATM. Read the article I posted above. The guy is making a loss because when he buys BTC to then sell via the ATM he has to get via localbitcoins as in the UK that's one of the only way to get BTC.

If you manage to buy 1 BTC @ £400 and then it goes up, you'd make money selling but if it goes down, you make a loss.

This may help as it details where the ATM came from: -

15 Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help with transaction still showing unconfirmed on: March 14, 2014, 11:04:09 PM
I can't see that other little amount on the tx that you mention but that's because I'm viewing on my phone - I think. is it just the remaining amount from your wallet?

if you give it a few days it will clear. although you've removed and sent again it's still out there (original tx) and it will eventually be dropped as will your double spend.

it's frustrating but it will be okay. take it from somebody who did this with 1btc the other day. I'd say remove your double spend too so your client doesn't keep trying to propagate it to other nodes.

Posted From bitcointalk.org Android App

I was fortunate enough to get out before the price kept dropping although made a loss.
17 Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: urgent help needed - losing bitcoins on: March 14, 2014, 07:20:36 PM
do you know where to look for the wallet?
search option won't always find the file on your hd if the files are not indexed.
i think multibit does not install itself in program files by default.

enable showing hidden folders and go here:

C:/users/*user*/AppData<- hidden folder/Roaming/Multibit

hope this helps Smiley

Think he's already tried that...
18 Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: urgent help needed - losing bitcoins on: March 14, 2014, 04:23:15 PM
Try as many recommended scanning/recovery applications you can find.

I've known people to drop their external disk and knock the head off it and manage to send the HDD away to get the data recovered off it.

There is plenty of hope still.
19 Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: me wallet no update on: March 14, 2014, 02:19:19 PM
Did you get your coins through according the the tx?

Can you move your wallet.dat file to another machine with bitcoin-qt that is fully updated?

Also there is a lot of data to download overtime to update - have you ran out of disk space or something? Does it show as being connected, can you check the logs?
20 Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help with transaction still showing unconfirmed on: March 14, 2014, 02:15:53 PM
Hey guys, I sent someone 0.45 BTC last night around 10pm from my bitcoin-qt 0.8.6 wallet. It's still showing zero confirmations on Blockchain and in my wallet. Here are the tx details:

https://blockchain.info/tx/88d196b543799274d38b9e33def17a8c8ea4b3fba3ae2860785d51dbea62094f

Code:
Status: 0/unconfirmed
Date: 3/13/14 22:08
To: 1CaYkQJXvb4Lx3PE365nRm18Xnd2PubCmw
Debit: -0.45 BTC
Transaction fee: -0.0000001 BTC
Net amount: -0.4500001 BTC
Transaction ID: 88d196b543799274d38b9e33def17a8c8ea4b3fba3ae2860785d51dbea62094f

What is going on with this transaction? The funds definitely have been withdrawn from my balance in my wallet. Will this clear itself up or will I need to do anything manually to remove/cancel/restore something??

I'd leave it and wait.

That is a pretty low tx fee. I sent a transaction the other day via blockchain accidentally without a fee. 2 days later it failed. I ended up resending it last night.

Looking at the network propagation it seems to making its way around.

I'd just leave it for now and wait. Next time use a slightly higher fee. 0.0001+
