1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crowdfunding Help Me! 16.103% FUNDED! More of My Work Added Weekly!! on: March 27, 2014, 08:47:17 PM
You should add your project to http://reddit.com/r/CrowdfundBitcoin.
2  Bitcoin / Project Development / Crowdfund Your Project On This Subreddit on: March 26, 2014, 07:50:29 PM
Hi guys. I just created a subreddit on Reddit.com that is for anyone that wants to crowdfund a worthwhile project and get donations in Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. I believe this will be an efficient way to have projects that actually deserve to be funded rise to the top and receive traffic and donations, while dumb projects simply fizzle into the digital abyss.

Let me know what you think. The subreddit is http://reddit.com/r/CrowdfundBitcoin

Any idea when contracts will be available to purchase again?
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The recent attacks on Bitcoin. Why, and most importantly ~ Who. on: February 16, 2014, 06:20:13 PM
Is it possible for the FBI or any law enforcement agencies to look into stolen bitcoin matters like this and actually discover the person responsible? Does the bitcoin network make it more of a challenge due to the anonymity possible?
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Google Possible Bitcoin Integration. Buy, buy, buy? on: February 16, 2014, 06:13:36 PM
If Google does end up making a wallet, that will give bitcoin so much more legitimacy in terms of countries being accepting of the new currency. If Google's name is alongside bitcoin, it opens the door for much more respect from governments and other critics.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Client do you use and why ? on: February 16, 2014, 05:45:25 PM
I use Coinbase. It seemed to be a reliable online wallet, and their budget is very large. Bought myself a solid 0.25BTC. The only thing that sucks is that there is a 4 day delay to get your bitcoin until you become a level 2. You can do this by adding your credit card in addition to your bank account but it only works with Visa currently and I only have a MasterCard.
7  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: FAIRLAY.COM - New Bitcoin Prediction Market - 0.6 BTC for Beta User! on: February 16, 2014, 04:09:47 PM
Sorry - if we did not made this clear.

Credits are worthless BUT: on March 2 the 21 users with the most credits will win in total 600mBTC. Thus the credits have an indirect value.
Details here:blog.fairlay.com/2014/02/fairlay-beta-promo/

EDIT: Thanks Nicolas

Ok thanks for explaining that. Crystal clear now.

I signed up and placed two bets with all 50,000 credits I was given. So if I end up winning, do the credits I receive become real and have value? Or are my winnings still just credits that hold no value?
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's add up the KNOWN lost bitcoins on: February 16, 2014, 03:25:11 PM
Let's say that bitcoin becomes mainstream like we all hope it will, and many years from now a large portion of bitcoins have been lost due to lost computers or destroyed servers. If there are only 5 or 10 Million bitcoin that still exist is there any way there could be more bitcoin produced, or is it absolutely built into the bitcoin architecture that the 21 Million number cannot be tampered with? Would it simply be easier just to make due with the bitcoin still left in circulation and let the market determine the new value of a bitcoin?

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: State of Florida attacks Bitcoin on: February 15, 2014, 07:19:21 PM
Is buying stolen CC numbers a crime? Using the numbers would be but would possession of the numbers be illegal?

Possession of stolen property is against the law.

The other possibility is that he is an almost perfect sociopath, unable to have an emotional grasp of what's happening around him.

He is not a sociopath. He is fatty - growing fat is a protective (psychologically / emotionally grounded) response to stress. A sociopath wouldn't care / wouldn't grow fat.

I do not think being a sociopath has anything to do with being fat.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silk Road 2.0 hacked through malleability, ~4000 BTC STOLEN on: February 14, 2014, 04:41:24 AM
Why would the creator of Silk Road 2.0 sabotage his business like that by stealing all the money from the marketplace? Wouldn't he have made more money from the business long term instead of just taking the money and running, if he even took it in the first place?
