1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [JUST LAUNCHED] SUN COIN - Kimotos Gravity Well, 2 Exchanges, LOADS of bounties on: February 25, 2014, 08:11:27 PM
Are you kidding me?

I think he is serious, we are supposed to tremble in front of his broken KGW implementation...shake humans!!

hahah. can anybody check code why KGW didnt work?
i mean anybody that knows how code works Wink

the Kimoto Gravity well... in this case.. since it is low hash would look something like 1/(1 + (0.7084 * (PastBlocksMass/144)^(-1.228))  this would result in diff retarget after every block.  Dev needs to comment on, at least, the fact that he understands that the KGW isn't being implemented.

when to da moon?
I'd guess we can expect to seem some serious action in 3 or 4 hours.

Kimotos Gravity Well should have been implemented like now, 4.7 diff when it should be at 0.6

yeah i recommend implementing that gravity well asap, i'd like to continue mining sun, but not when people switch in on low diff and jump out on high diff.  If you are gonna have a rare coin you gotta have some sort of better diff management

I was producing coins at the beginning, when there was an old wallet, my coins are lost in the transition to a new purse?

I had the same problem. all of your old coins are not safe.  I lost half of my coins during this ill planned relaunch.  However you should not lose all your coins. Read through the thread an you will see where they helped me.  Hope you loses are minimal.

If that does not work, try deleting everything including your wallet (make a copy first of course), put the conf file there and see if it syncs.  If it syncs this way, then replace the wallet.dat with your backup copy.

Unfortunately if this is what it takes, chances are your wallet is toast.  Coins may be on wrong fork.

thanks for all your help, finally got it up to date.  I'm left with this:

So am I just out 1103 suncoins? Sad

You can try deleting everything from your roaming folder EXCEPT wallet.dat, and make sure you use the addnodes from the op.  Sounds like your peer list might be full of bad ones.

K, got ride of everything in the folder except for wallet.dat... restarted the qt, it started redownloading a lot of the blockchain... stopped at about the same block as before... only difference is instead of 5% of my balance being unconfirmed, about 70% of my balance in now unconfirmed.

I also tried to addnodes ... but the command i remember working in the debug console didn't work and I can't seem to find my protoshares.conf file... Sad sorry to be asking so many questions, but how do you addnodes without the protoshares.conf?

To resync your wallet, you can add the --reindex parameter when you run the wallet qt.

thanks for responding, i've run it using the reindex, rescan, and server parameters... no luck so far.  I have a feeling this relaunch cost me coins too, just frustrating that I can't get it to sync up to see.  Any other ideas?

I think my wallet is on the wrong fork, and can sync. It's getting stuck one block 9865 out of 10896.  Anyone know how I fix this?

ever figure out this problem? i've been having the same issue since this so called 'relaunch'. I didn't know relaunch would mean pools and wallets would just stop working... lol

I look forward to get back mining, but I am having problems getting any connection on the windows wallet (I have the newest 1.1)
