[CEO's Message_The Exchange Under Development]
Dear Valued YGGDRASHers,
this is David Seo, a CEO of YGGDRASH.
First of all, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all of you for showing great interest in the exchange under development, and I would like to share with you the up-to-date details.
1️⃣ The Transition from Korea to Global
Initially, the Team planned a cryptocurrency exchange which can handle KRW. However, due to the following reasons, the Team has decided to set up its base in Singapore to serve the global market.
🔹11.The Regulatory Risk of Handling KRW
Recently, the Korean National Assembly proposed the revision of the Act on the Reporting and Utilization of Specific Financial Transaction Information (hereinafter referred to as the "Special Act"). The amendment stipulates that if an accident related to anti-money laundering occurs in a South Korea-based cryptocurrency exchange, the bank issuing the account to the exchange will be liable for it, not the exchange itself.
The creation of 'Hive Account(Multi Accessible Account)' for the use of KRW Deposits was also banned. Furthermore, when an exchange is seen using the Hive Account, the bank can confiscate the exchange's account. Presently, only four exchanges can use the real-name virtual bank account system while other cryptocurrency exchange cannot. Thus, the use of a Hive Account was the only way to handle KRW, and now this seems implausible.
The Team contacted many banks dozens of times to find a clear solution for months, but could not resolve the issue to date.
🔹12 Weakened Korean Crypto Market
In March 2018, the Korean Financial Authority announced the <Cryptocurrency Anti-Money Laundry Guideline> and expected to be legislated in the near future. Since the announcement of the guidelines, the hurdles of cryptocurrency exchange operations in South Korea have aggravated, and amongst the global exchanges, three South Korean exchanges once ranked in the global top 10 are now pushed back to the top 100.
2️⃣ New Business Model
For the time being, the exchange is not going to handle Fiat Currencies such as USD / KRW / JPY; however, the Team will utilize and implement a Stable Coin to provide various investment options that were not available with fiat currencies.
Furthermore, we have changed our benchmarking target from 'FCoin+Binance' to 'Bitmex+FCoin'.
The exchange will be the world's first "Right-Sharing Exchange" which will introduce new derivative products that can be alluring to many traders.
3️⃣ The Release Schedule
With the transition of the focus market from Korea to global, significant changes are being implemented to the business model of the exchange. The exchange is now free from the heavy regulation of South Korea, but it needs to compete with leading exchanges in the world.
The Team concluded a major upgrade in the core system is needed and the release schedule has to be postponed inevitably.
The Team and I would like to sincerely apologize for everyone who has been waiting for the exchange. We know by heart the weight of postponing the release date, and how it may disgruntle everyone who is waiting for the service. The final release date will be announced as soon as possible.
4️⃣ The Correlations between YEED and the Exchange
Setting YEED as the key currency for this exchange would be a nice scenario; however, it would take some time to actually implement this. Major exchanges are also struggling to invigorate non-BTC markets. The Team will try to find a way to realize this in the near future.
Although YGGDRASH and the exchange are fundamentally two separate entities, the Team will look for ways to raise the value of YEED and to build the YEED market without disrupting the system of the exchange.
Once again, the Team and I apologize for the change in the release schedule. I recognize your frustration and thus genuinely grateful to all YGGDRASHers for understanding.

Greetings from Team YGGDRASH.
Last time, the Team and the community had decided to postpone the 2nd and 3rd portion of the FIRST YEED Airdrop event until BTC 6,000 USD recovery, and as of May 9th, Bitcoin finally broke the 6,000 USD level.
We are all glad to witness the different market atmosphere from the rise of Bitcoin price. Nevertheless, the Team had to go through a series of meetings and discussions in regards to the pros and cons of commencing an airdrop when the price of YEED is lower compared to its true value.

According to you what do you think is the main problem at the moment in the crypto world?
So why we don't see real life adoption yet and so on.
According to me the answer is simple. People from the general public treats crypto as a new style high risk gambling. They don't take it seriously.
Why?
I think the main reason is the moonboys and Fudsters. According to my experience as an admin (Yggdrash admin, we got over 20400 telegram member..)
unnecessary Fud and also shouting 100x and expecting 100x within weeks also does make lot's of harm to every project.
Also quite often the Fudster people who shout 0 one day next day they will be the moonboys.
This type of behaviour very harmful and misleading for new investors. Also it leads to only many disappointed new investors who will leave the crypto world entirely mainly. This will also hinder any sort of adoption at the end of the day.
As administrators and opinion influencers we should have and we have a responsibility to bring more sanity into the crypto world. What we lack of is sanity and balanced view in the crypto world. A coin either must go to the moon or must go to 0. Come on, this is so ridiculous and predictable. If someone shout fud and say this coin go to 0, this means those people want to get the coin at the cheapest possible price level. If their fud operation was successful, suddenly a week later, new people will appear who will be the classic example to the moonboys. So in Crypto everything can change and turn into upside down only within weeks or less. This is not normal and not really helpful for wider adoption at all.
As an investor since I have invested a lot into Yggdrash and other projects as well of course I believe that my investments will go to moon but it will take years for sure and also the team must deliver and this won't happen due to a magic mushroom. So I think you get what I am saying.

I think this is an important topic, and very broad topic as well.
As far as I understand You mean that for a project very badly impact what they say about him around?It is not so.Whatever they say, it does not affect the cryptocurrency from the worst side.Yes, many people like to receive x and principle because of x, many investors came to the world of crypto.At the moment, in my opinion, the cryptocurrency lacks trust from ordinary people and governments.For many, this is unknown and not understandable to the world. |

As a newbie I did conclude already at 3120$ that was the bottom. Now the experts are still saying that the expert is still to come and will be around 800$. Don't believe it:) I am a trader, for me every moment is an opportunity to make a profit.
now I prefer to observe altcoins, and keep holding bitcoin to buy some altcoins. trading is very interesting now because bitcoin is still stable.
Some time ago the problem of the bitcoin market was the price of bitcoin which tends to be stable with very small price changes, but today prices are moving faster and the good news is the prices tend to rise, and the stable price problem has gone! We can't assume that it was gone already, it's still a testing momentum if the market is ready for the next reversal, the huge pumped can be a good sign for much awaited bull to come, the only problem might be those people who are easy to fomo but same with being a panic sellers when the market start to dumped again, just need more assessment and study before concluding. |

This issue of volatility seems to be a turn off for investors who would want to be invested in the market.

I love the fact the Crypto is fully independent from any government influence. We got unlimited potential and power and advantage over any unfriendly government. A smart and proactive government would and embrace the Crypto technology. The only problem I saw is that FUD's around, negative thoughts and government support.
People were so affected into this especially when they hear some unsubstantial negative reports regarding crypto, they are afraid to invest and lost their money. We can't push them neither cause that's their understanding. But if the government fully support this new technology it making a way that the entire community will have an investment with crypto as they are the most influential.

Yes, However we are not interested in JPM coin nor in facebook coin that is for sure. At least I am not interested in the slightest. Mark wants to control the world. Where will I benefit from that? Didn't check for the whole thread, guess it might've been said, but mass adoption and lack of transparency on top of regulation attempts is what can be considered a hindering factor for the crypto market.
ICOs booming in 2017 and kinda dieing in 2018 is a thing of a past already, however, that brought us to a current state of skepticism and uncertainty.

Yes. Personally I don't believe for example that Bitcoin can be 2000$ or less but if it would be I will go all in. I believe Bitcoin already hit bottom also Yggdrash hit bottom. However at the moment we have some amazing buying opportunity we are only 4x above our all time low at Yggdrash. I think one of the main reasons is the complexity of cryptocurrency processes for ordinary people, from which fear and frivolous attitude is generated, which is detrimental aspects.
I dont think that it has any problem with crypto at this moment. Fluctuation is its nature and yes i feel this is what cryto's strength unlike fiats. Crypto market's growth is just because of the fluctuation and demand to it attracting too many investors. So it is very important to know crypto currency is all has the most fluctuating nature and miner rise fall does not matter, infect people wait for this opportunity so they can buy at low price, the problem is only lack of knowledge which makes people to sell at panic and it gives market a wrong direction, to dump, fluctuation is not the problem for sure. |
