1  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] Mycelium Local Trader is Now Available! on: April 16, 2014, 04:34:09 PM
This is pretty huge.

IMO, The barriers to getting bitcoin just came crumbling down. No more linking bank accounts to questionable websites. No more scanning your palm at the Government Tax Avoidance Catcher Machine. Just ye good olde cash transactions in person.

Step 1) Have an android phone
Step 2) Have cash

That's it.

Thanks devs! This rocks. I hope Mycelium soon becomes synonymous with bitcoin wallet in people's minds so they can get this local trader functionality instead of installing another, less functional wallet.
2  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: nLockTime: Can it be used as the basis for cold storage? on: March 23, 2014, 06:34:10 PM
So, if you want to send money to your son on his 18th birthday before you go to prison for [insert victimless crime here] all you have to do is destroy the keys after creating the nLockTime Tx to a new address. And make sure he gets the private key that pairs to the new address, along with the signed nLockTime Tx that will need to be broadcasted once it's block has come.

Goodbye to "Trusts" where you have to place trust in someone to give your money to someone else in the future.

Try buying more than one dollar worth and maybe your order will be filled...

Meanwhile there is always Localbitcoins.com

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Enjoy and Sochi satoshi "payments" problem on: February 14, 2014, 07:12:09 PM
Hi,

I was wondering if there is any talk of a solution regarding the 1 satoshi "dust" payments that have been going around. The problem they create for this android wallet is mostly an aesthetic one. The two payments linger at the top of your transaction list unconfirmed, taking up valuable screen real estate for actual confirmed transactions. In fact, due to the tag, "This small amount can probably never be spent economically," these two payments take up twice the space of a confirmed transaction. See pic below for example.

Maybe all transactions under a certain amount (user configurable) could be under just the Received column so that they aren't junking up the main screen? Just my 2 satoshi.
