1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Big market crash has started? on: January 23, 2019, 07:07:12 AM
The market wont change unless the industry itself does't change. There are a lot of plas for this year from the projects that collected their fundsduring their ICO period back in late 2017. These new innovators coming intothe field should help drive the market up as their main payment currency they accept with open arms is BTC. Once demand for BTC goes up, so too will the price and with it the alt coin market too as it just follows the BTC. This is  the calm before the storm.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are the bear days over? on: January 22, 2019, 06:32:10 AM
The market will stay like this and only trade sideways at best because there is no inherent value to any of the coins that are out there including bitcoin. The only way that it can start going in the green is if major breakthroughs happen in the technological side which should lead to shifts in entire industries. Once this happens, the coins of the respective projects will skyrocket because value is being created by the technological innovations.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is the king on: January 22, 2019, 04:50:29 AM
Ethereum is without a doubt one of the OG's within the crypto-currency market because it took the essence of bitcoin and blockchain technology and took it a step further in the form of smart contracts therefore you can call it a pioneer in this regard. Because it innovated, you can also say that it has the first mover advantage which is what makes it the rock-bead for all the other smart contract based platforms, dApps and everything related in that field. The ICO boom in 2017 saw the Ethereum price going to the moon as most ICO's wanted to associate themselves with Bitcoin 2.0. This was a massive advantage at the time, but as there was a huge wave of fraudulent ICO's it is hurting the whole market currently and the one taking the full brunt of it is Ethereum as it was the go to platform during the ICO boom of late 2017. The price is low right now because of this and also because of the fork that is supposed  to have happened a few days  ago got delayed due to bugs. It has its hiccups but it still has plenty of opportunities to gain value, and I believe that this will come along with new innovations and solutions that should come with the new fork. Hopefully.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the Ethereum Fork bring about price increase? on: January 21, 2019, 09:09:14 AM
A price increase depends on the demand for the new forked chain. And it has been asked for by a lot of people. The only reason it took this long is because of the decentralized nature of PoW. But finally the answer has been done to move to a greener and faster PoS. This is in high demand for its scalability so once it gets under way, theoretically speaking, it should pick up in price too. As for Ethereum classic, cannot really say as the variables that may affect it, especially after the giant bug, is up for debate.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are there more profitable cryptocurrencies than Bitcoin? on: January 04, 2019, 06:19:28 AM
For long-term no. Bitcoin is and will always be the best coin to hold for long term investment. For short term investment and if you are looking to earn some quick money, then alt coins are the way forward as the fluctuation even without the influence of bitcoin means that there is more opportunity to make some money quickly.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do you believe that Bakkt can influence BTC and alts' values too much? on: January 04, 2019, 06:01:58 AM
IMO Bakkt joining the crypto space is a good thing as it will bring fresh investors into the space. This could be a breath of fresh air for the crypto space as it is evidently bringing some new money into the market thus it should, in theory stimulate the market at least.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrencies Could Outperform All Other Assets in 2019 on: December 26, 2018, 09:12:37 AM
IMO, the crypto space is a tantalizing alternative for everyone that dabbles in trade. Within the last few days, the stocks plummeted in a very long time and people are still recovering. It will for sure go back up again; however, alternatives are always a good thing because it gives the people a choice. And that sparks competition which can be the driving force for growth. In terms of outperforming all other asset class; this is something to look forward to on the long term because the biggest asset class in the coming years is going to be data: lots of it. Whoever holds valuable data will be up in assets as corporations want that  data to better know and predict whatever might be going on in the future or whatever else said data maybe useful for. For the short term it might prove difficult to say that the crypto market will outperform all other asset class as there are wayy too many variables that can affect and change all the different markets in which you can trade. Especially the crypto market as again, there is just not enough data to concretely make such bold claims.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best investment of the decade on: December 20, 2018, 03:23:20 AM
It is as you say indeed. Bitcoin and the emerging crypto space has been the biggest investment opportunity of the last decade without a doubt. The lucky and the level headed investors, early adopters and entrepreneurs gained a lot from this emerging space. I however do not agree with the statement that it can either go up or go down all the way to zero. I say this because the technology along with the hype  that bitcoin and the crypto space brought to light with it is not going anywhere any time soon as it is being very closely monitored and researched by giant enterprises and corporations the world over. This alone gives it backing. It will not go to zero, if anything it will just change and morph into something new. The benefits that blockchain provides IMO are too valuable for it to be left in the dust.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs are not dead, just maturing in a positive way. on: December 18, 2018, 08:57:08 AM
It is as you say. The ICOs are still here but they have indeed changed the way they seek funds, and the legitimacy of the ICO are questioned more than ever before investment, which is a good thing in my opinion. The investors are more cautious than ever because there are more scams then we can count. But this cautiousness is not healthy to some extent because sometime even the legit projects are sidelined because the investors do not look hard enough and just dismiss projects with potential thinking it is just another scam. Therefore, it is just a waiting game at this point. Once the scams are filtered out it should become a semi saturated market. This will probably take shape at around the 3rd quarter of 2019 in my opinion.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it good to recruit other person to join Blockchain technology? on: December 17, 2018, 02:35:54 AM
I believe that there is too much hype and speculation in crypto currently. On top of this, the market is too young to make any sort of good speculation as it is so volatile which is not a good environment for someone who is new to crypto to invest. However, I wholeheartedly agree that the mechanism behind crypto, in other words blockchain technology, should be told to everyone as it has the power to change the way we trade altogether. This technology brings a fresh new perspective on trade as it fundamentally changes the authority source that currently overseas trade. And this in my opinion, is very refreshing.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happened? Why do prices fly down? on: December 17, 2018, 01:24:59 AM
Most speculate that the main reason why the market tanked in the past couple weeks/month is because of the hard fork that happened in bitcoin cash. This was a major event in the space and it really affected the whole market negatively. Prior to this happening, ethereum was also not doing so hot because ICO's were and still is dying. The reason why this has a direct correlation with Ethereum's price is because the majority of ICO's that were popular last year all claimed that they would be on the Ethereum chain, which is why the price last year was so strong. But alas, the ICO's were big on their promises and were not able to back up said promise. Coupled with this, the majority of bitcoin farming these days occurs in China, and the regulations surrounding cryptocurrency in China isn't exactly friendly. These are just some of the reasons why the prices keep going down. But not to worry, as there is still growth in the space. The crypto market is bigger then ever before and Ethereum's hard fork is also coming up which should shake things up a bit to say the least.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are The Bulls Back? on: December 14, 2018, 02:26:54 AM
The bulls are not back, and I don't think they will be back until some definitive changes take place in the main projects that make up the crypto market. For example, one of the main reasons behind this bear market with the horrendous bitcoin plummet happened because bitcoincash had the hard fork. Ethereum was on a constant bear market even before this happened because the ICO market was dying throughout the whole year and most of them promised/hoped to build on the Ethereum blockchain. It is not all doom and gloom however, as Etherum is not sitting idle. They recently announced a clear date for the Constantinople fork to finally go PoS instead of sticking with the energy inefficient PoW. This is good news as more possibilities and projects should surely open up and thus this should drive the price up. Other promising projects are also poised to jump into action in 2019 so this should further increase the value of the  market as a whole.
13  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do we need blockchain technology? on: December 12, 2018, 08:16:17 AM
Hello everyone.

When I see there are too many ICO and shitcoins on novaexchange. I keep asking myself: do we really need blockchain technology?

In case of Bitcoin. Of course, I agree.
What about ETH? I agree too.

But, have a look at the others on the market. I don't even know why should people use their service. There is no real use in real life.

An ad management system on blockchain? - We already had Google Ads & Facebook Ads.
A social network on blockchain? (steem) - Do we? I don't see anything but a centralized forum hosted on a random hosting using its currency to pay for the writers.

There are too many projects  that we don't really need it on blockchain.

Sometimes, I think there is a black swan (Blockchain is useless in real life) lurking around.

IMO, the simple answer is yes. We need it. Currently, we can compare this hype to what the internet was during the late 90`s early 2000`s. People went way overboard with speculative investment then and as such, history is just repeating itself again. The loss of value in bitcoin and all the other crypto-currencies is also just following history. Just like how there are as many useless/pointless sites that exist in the web right now, projects that attempt to blockchanize pretty much everything under sun are appearing too. At the end of the day, human nature really doesn`t change, even after two decades. Just as it is unthinkable to have a company without an online presence, we can assume that in the near future, a database that isn`t utilizing blockchain in someway will be unthinkable purely on the fact that the security benefits it provides are tremendous for any enterprise in this day and age, where hackers try to practically steal anything of value that they can get their hands on.
I think we all feel in some way, the same way you do because the market is just rampant with projects proposed on a whim with no clear basis or vision or goal or anything of concrete substance. But time will tell and the projects that have everything firmly set on the ground will build the foundations for the infrastructure of managing data utilizing blockchain to it`s fullest potential.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2019 market and forks cryptocurrency on: December 12, 2018, 03:12:03 AM
in 2019 people will probably refrain to create useless altcoin or scam ICO.  Roll Eyes Since a lot of people left the market since January there is less target.
There are over 2000 cryptocurrencies and the number seems increasing at a lest speed compared to not long ago.
As for the market value, myself have no idea where we are going to and I take "expert predictions" with a grain of salt.

Agreed. ICOs for the most part, is dead. The scammers that came with the wave and hype during late 2017 and early 2018 is finally settling down as ICOs are just not profitable as investors are increasingly more wary about ICOs. The fact that most of these ICOs, even the legit ones, promised way more than what they could actually deliver is, in my opinion, why we have the current situation in the ICO market. This coupled with the bear market that has been going on for the whole year meant that it was practically a double whammy effect especially on the ICO/startup space. As a result it is now harder than ever to make an ICO project with a shaky background. However, this is a good thing because only legit, well based ICOs are the only ones that can be successful in the current market.

As for the market value, this too I completely agree. Most "Experts" are usually just talking hot air as we have seen time and time again with their speculation of bitcoin dying for the 100th time. But there is hope as there are legit projects being developed as we speak so the future is without a doubt, a bright one even with this long bearish market that has been continuing for the whole year.
