1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CACH] CACHeCoin released based on scrypt-jane on: May 02, 2015, 04:17:50 PM
Vertoe, I support you in whatever direction you take CACH, but the many recent decisions regarding Darkcoin including this: https://dashtalk.org/threads/self-sustainable-decentralized-governance-by-blockchain.4708/ make it veryvulnerable to a viable competitor.  The deliciousness of a competitor operated by the top-tier developer that was never shown the respect they deserve at Darkcoin overtaking it would be mind-blowing.

Wow man, this dev is for real.

So does anybody know if she is actually the co-founder of DarkCoin?  TIA

Vertoe was not a Darkcoin co-founder.

Thank you Vertoe!  I eagerly anticipate the roadmap!

As I always say, "Invest in the developer, not the coin."  Others are smart enough to do the same.

You're quite fond of quoting yourself, aren't you ;-)

Doesn't sound much like a level playing field to me. Good luck.

Its a very level playing field.

Interesting comment in Vertoe's cachecoin github repo: https://github.com/vertoe/cachecoin

Will cachecoin get masternodes ?

God I hope so.

As much as I would love to buy into a vertoe project, and make it part of my portfolio, doing a simple examination of this 10x price-boosting rally shows that someone is now happily selling their coins to you guys at this price.
Volume don't lie, folks

The way I look at it, the CACH is moving from hands of those who don't know what Vertoe is capable of to those that do.

Has anyone successfully staked with this coin?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CACH] CACHeCoin released based on scrypt-jane on: April 16, 2015, 08:49:23 PM
Cachecoin should rebrand as Darkcoin Smiley

I'd go all in.

Looks like Vertoe is back and working on another coin:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=400389.2200

1.  Is the supply on coinmarketcap.com of 2,260,517 CACH correct?

2.  Does anyone have a compiled windows wallet?

3.  Is this now POS or is it POS and normal mining combined?

You can download the Windows wallet from Github. It's in OP.

POW/POS

I'm mining right now.

I don't know how to compile in windows.

Vertoe,

So you're saying you're not going to develop this coin much?  Or you're saying you have plans but don't want to make any, "This is coming soon" type announcements?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: March 30, 2015, 06:01:33 PM
I downloaded the new dash client but then my old darkcoin client has my coins in it.  They don't show in the new dash client.  Can I simple send the coins to a generated dash client address?

I've owned Darkcoin for a long time and support the name change to DASH.  But the way it has been handled was pretty dumb because it gave trolls more ammunition.

Please stop doing dumb stuff guys.  I appreciate all the money you're making me but really, stop with the stupid decisions.

I don't mean to spook you guys, but he also moved the coins people donated to him and hasn't logged into spreadcointalk.org since the 14th...
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) | Testing New Masternodes on: February 17, 2015, 05:46:47 PM
I just sold half my SPR because Mr. Spread hasn't logged in for awhile.  Has me nervous.  Sad

Come on guys, lets get back to reality here.

oblox are you an investor as well? just wondering. You spend alot of time over here for someone who is not interested in the coin.

edit: nevermind I see someone is posting about spread over in dark. So I see why you're over here.
Why do people do that? Post about another coin in a different coins thread? Seems kind of rude to be honest Smiley That's just my opinion though Smiley Please people of the SpreadCoin community refrain from posting about SpreadCoin in other coins threads if you can Smiley We know it may be hard but it doesn't help our thread out then if we post about the coin in other coins threads ya know Smiley

I'm posting about Spreadcoin in their thread because I'm sick of all the Darkcoin trolls posting in this thread.  Difference is, I can post true information in their thread while they can only FUD here.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: February 11, 2015, 09:18:51 PM
See how much it sucks to have other coins invade your thread?

If you guys agree to stay out of ours with your bullshit we'll stay out of yours (well, at least I'll stay out of it I can't control others).

Keep coming back and I'll just keeping pointing out the myriad of ways that Spreadcoin has taken Darkcoin's ideas and done them better.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: February 11, 2015, 09:13:02 PM
off topic: Stop talking about others coins in the DRK thread please.

Is the news causing DRK rising the InstantX functionality? What is it anyway Smiley
There are too many posts to find the details in this thread

We did stop and then Darkcoin people invaded our thread.  Fair is fair right?

You guys are like arsonists complaining about the sound of the fire alarms.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: February 11, 2015, 09:10:20 PM
Dude, nothing was rewritten from scratch, just a few bits and bytes were tuned left and right, don't get yourself into such arguments when you never even looked over the code :-)

You should really stop that nonsense, I wish good luck to SPR, it needs it, but you cannot compare it at all to Darkcoin..

At least you're fudding in your own thread instead of ours this time.

Is SpreadCoin [masternode] implementation based on DarkCoin?
No, this is original implementation.

How is it different from DarkCoin?
In SpreadCoin there are no centralized reference nodes to decide which masternodes should receive payments, it is decided by the network in decentralized maner. In DarkCoin the messages which select masternodes are separate from the blockchain and are distributed independently. This way it is possible that nodes will have different opinion on what masternode should receive next payment. In SpreadCoin all votes for masternodes will be stored in blocks and the payee will be uniquely determined from the previous blocks. Just like you can check that any transaction included in the block is correct by comparing its inputs with outputs in previous blocks you will be able to check that masternode payment is correct by checking previous blocks. Why bitcoin is so reliable? Because all nodes have exactly the same rules how to determine which blockchains are correct and which one is better (required more work) than others, these rules are only depended on blocks themselves, not on the order in which they were received them nor on any other messages which you may or may not receive in time. The network can be unstable in the case of some major event which will break connectivity between nodes but once connectivity between nodes is reestablished all nodes will stick to the same blockchain. The same will apply to SpreadCoin.
