Is it possible to get promo code for the virtual card? I don't need physical  one. Wink

Hi! No, unfortunately, you need to be an active member with the activity score higher than 30 on bitcointalk to get a promo code.
No probs, I'll buy it since I've resolved some wallet issue I had. Smiley Just one more question, is it possible to receive money to your card? What I mean is that some sites offer direct payments to Visa cards, so if I enter card number should I be able to receive (fiat) money to it, or attach it to my already verified PayPal account?

This looks like another fast and cheap SCAM to me. BEWARE!!!
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very Dangerous & Slick Scam: cryptomsgr.com on: October 14, 2014, 03:41:45 PM
Well, there's one short test you can use to try to weed out bad sites from good ones. Not perfect but...

You see, scammers are usually quite cheap. Smiley

So if you try to access that site using https:// protocol you'll get a warning about bad SSL, like this:

Quote
cryptomsgr.com uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is only valid for bbckchah.info
(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

And SSL costs around $40 a YEAR. So if a site owner can't spend that much, just refuse to deal with it. As simple as that. Then again there are very smart scammers but that's different story altogether.

Yep, good thinking. They pretty much own everything else on the Web. Smiley
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is old 3.5 floppy safer than USB drive for cold storage? on: October 12, 2014, 03:46:35 PM
With the news on USB firmware hacks I was wondering if I should add a 3.5" floppy to my online computer to transfer from my cold storage old XP computer that already has a floppy. Would it be safer?

yeah but why not go all the back to a 5 1/4" floppy.  Now those actually flopped.
And 5.25 floppies are actually much more durable regarding usage as storage than 3.5 floppies. Trust me, I have personal experience. Smiley Numerous 3.5 floppies would go bad for simply no reason at all, even after being left unused in a box, while 5.25 ones I have with some data on them are still usable. Provided you have working 5.25 inch floppy drive, and a PC to plug it into.. Smiley

I think we are not really that far away from getting google or any other large ad network to take bitcoin companies as clients and offer the option of getting paid in btc.
Google paying in BTC? Not any time soon, I'm affraid. Smiley

There's another one:

http://adbit.co/

But it pays soooo low that it is not viable source of income at all. At least for now. Sad

This is what I get from my ESET if I try to access LGD's forum. Someone should take care of that.
