1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SaveGox.com on: April 29, 2014, 03:18:20 PM
Hi Jon,
Q1) Will you be using new software or are you going to use existing software for the bitcoin trading platform?
Q2) Are you the Jon that was in the Google Hangout Talk? (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vxJNgLibP4)
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storj - Decentralized Storage on: April 11, 2014, 01:55:58 AM
Can StorJ be used for webhosting? So it can store files and transfer - but can it run programs while its being stored? Such programs is Apache, PHP, MariaDB etc.

2. Or if not, can a server run these programs, and call the source codes/database where it stores on StorJ?

Thank you.

Sorry, my bad. I didnt know they hold shares on their site.
4  Economy / Securities / Re: [WTS] NEOBEE shares on: March 23, 2014, 03:52:53 PM
I need the money ASAP, and the website says "Transfers are typically completed in 1-2 business days." which I would rather not wait.
To be honest, it shouldnt take 1 - 2 days. It should be instant. What you do is just sell all your shares at market rate which is currently 0.00316012 to 0.00304000 [you should clear all 2k shares at those prices as there are more than 2k shares between those prices.

So you sell all those shares which takes 2 mins.
Then you do a withdrawal to your wallet which takes another 5mins to 1 hr.

Then you go to localbitcoins.com and sell your btc which should take another 30mins.

Thanks for that information! I didnt know at all.
One of the reason why I joined this BDD was to understand how it works more - and I have to say its fascinating how everything balances itself so well.
6  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitBet Stole ~$7,000 from me (10 BTC) on: March 03, 2014, 03:55:35 PM
Thanks OP for the heads up. I was going to place a bet but decided to search on the website first.

I only read the first 2 pages so forgive me if for not following through all the pages, but for a website to last long, the website should look after their Customers.

If the OP's bet was not in on time, then it should be refunded (minus the miners transaction fee).

Very easy, and everybody's happy.

I dont care what the terms and condition states - ethically it should be done right.
Its UNETHICAL to take your Customers money when their bets is not in on time - I dont care what the terms and condition states.

Good luck and thank you for saving me the hassle of dealing with this site!

Hi twentyseventy,

Does the dividend get paid into our account? So even though its scheduled for payment, you have to wait for it to go into your account before you want to release the share?

Thanks.
9  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinjar trading status and coins failure to send. on: February 18, 2014, 07:47:14 AM
You should enable SMS authentication and Google Authentication. You need 20 points to be able to send coins out that way - so they need access to your sms AND your google authenticator app. Coinjars SMS is an added free service. IF you put 2 things on, thats very secure - and then its coinjar's fault as they cannot blame you.

They should be able to give you an IP log of who accessed your account - send that as a ticket. If they dont - you can do a police report and sue them for negligent perhaps as they failed to give you supporting information in regard to your theft. They Police can have that power to send them a request for information if coinjar do not give it over to you.

In terms of making btc - just offer your service like how you do with Dollars. Give people value, and they will give you money back.

Read Tim Ferris's blog - that guy is awsome at making passive income.
http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/

I know this sounds harsh - but let it teach you a good lesson on how to keep your money safe. The power is on your side now...think of it as a learning curve and focus that energy of yours into making money.

I've lost a lot of money on many things in the past.

Sad to hear about your account d0zer. All things related to bitcoin - install Google Authenticator App (free) to your mobile. Then if the site you are using do not have this, do not use them. 2 Factor authentication protects you from people using software to see what keys you press on the keyboard, and where you go - so if you had this activated, it meant that they needed your mobile phone to log/send your btc.

Also, when you set up your 2 factor authenticator - they will link the key to your app - do not store that on your computer. Take a photo of it and keep it safe.

Windows computers - its not secured. They have lots of security issues, and even if you have the best programs protecting you - you can still be attacked without you knowing.

If you have time, read more into bitcoin and there are many ways to make money - so hopefully you can make your money back plus more.

Is it just me, or did coinjar increased their prices on the btc?
Their BTC/USD Spot price is way high. Like 6% higher.

Looks like they lost some money and trying to win some back with higher fees by using fake spot data.
12  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinjar trading status and coins failure to send. on: February 18, 2014, 02:04:09 AM
Nice. Did they reply to your latest ticket? I think its bad service with the closing of your old tickets without replies. They should be more professional than that.

Yeh thats not good news. Let us know what Support finds out.

Do this:
Go to your coinjar wallet - Click on Managed Wallet on top menu and go to Home and see your last transaction - if it was sent and Processed in their system.
- You should see your last transaction and your final balance.

This is what I think has happened:
If you had 0.409618 BTC.

You send it from your wallet 1En4edfmbtbstMXcwgdtR4AxJBgXQDonCY (0.488854 btc balance).
You sent 0.409618 BTC to 16VQ8J5CjP7rMjhrHUMy6eSUEiYQVXnX9k [was this your coinjar wallet?]

That wallet had 97 transaction. Total received 38 btc and with final balance 0.015 btc. It looks like a coinjar wallet to me.

If it was a thief, they would have sent all your 0.409618 BTC to their wallet in 1 transaction.
Instead, your wallet sent your btc out many times and incoming was many times too.

So it looks to me that coinjar is actually using your btc for their purpose ... so your btc balance in coinjar should be the same as before (0.409618).

Go to your coinjar wallet - Click on Managed Wallet on top menu and go to Home and see your last transaction - if it was sent and Processed in their system.

If any one wants to sell 1 - 1.5 Bitcoins I am looking to buy. From Sydney and can pay cash in person or bank xfer.
localbitcoins.com is a good place to buy bitcoins. Find somebody that is good 100% reputation and it should be good.
I wouldnt sell my btc at the market rate. Its too cheap.
17  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinjar trading status and coins failure to send. on: February 17, 2014, 09:20:11 AM
...my password was changed by the way which is i guess a clear sign my account was compromised... somehow? I do keep  to date nod32 and spybot, firefox. My lappy was off at the time, 2 factor login auth into coinjar? No
Yes I think the Support Staff needs to check your login and check cross check the IP and time and trace it for you.
All online wallets - you should have 2 factor authentication active (so you need a new code from your mobile phone to send btc).
I think coinjar has 2 factor authentication and sms - so you can activate both if you so wish. So that means if you want to transfer btc, you need to have your lock enabled (10 points each means 20 points to send funds out).

They can track the BTC movement to see if it was internal or if it was a withdrawal.

Just hope its a coinjar internal transfer - and they can credit you back.
Change of password is a bad sign too - they should be able to trace their logs to see when it was changed, at what IP and time.

The problem with Windwos computer, it can be affected without you realising it...thats the problem.
Also, anybody else have access to your laptop? Does it need pw to access it?
18  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinjar trading status and coins failure to send. on: February 17, 2014, 08:20:33 AM
I actually had .409 TAKEN from my coinjar account...
Is your balance in BTC still 0.409 in coinjar? It looks like coinjar use a sharewallet type system - so you can put btc into your account using their wallet and its technically theirs, but your balance should still show 0.409.

If its no 0 balance, did your machine do a withdrawal? Did you have 2 factor authentication on?

You sent a support ticket to coinjar yet?
