Hi there!
Long time user of freebitco.in. As of tonight, I can't seem to login on my account anymore. I have my password stored, so that's correct, and I use 2FA. When I try to login, the screen just flashes and reverts to the login screen. I know the requests are handled because the site asks me to wait a little while before trying again.
I tried the reset password link, and am being sent a reset link fairly quickly, but when I click on it it just says "Sorry, this link is incorrect or has expired".
I know you switched to cloudflare captha a little while ago and that was working fine for me. I was logged in as recently as yesterday. There is no captha on the login page though.
Could somebody please lend a helping hand with this?
Kind regards.
UPDATE
I tried logging in to freebitco.in, using MS Edge instead of my usual Brave browser, and that worked. I am still not able to log in via Brave, so if you have issues logging in you can try a different browser also. Tried transferring some funds out of that account yesterday evening at 10 PM local time, using instant 15 minute withdrawal and 2FA. It is now 16:30 the day after, and the transfer just came through. Which makes me believe that the transfer is manually approved, and not by an automatic process (which maybe better in the long run, but why wait so long when they indicate 15 minutes)
I'm very sorry, but after reading some threads on this forum and experiencing difficulties myself over the last few months (500 server errors, cloudfare site outages, and lastly the login problems) I do not feel that freebitco.in is a safe place to keep your hardearned bitcoins anymore. Which is a damn shame, because for years I enjoyed their appealing freerolls and interest payments. I would NOT call this site a scam, throughout my dealings with them over the last 4 years I never ever saw my balance dissapear or other funny or suspicious stuff, and they always came trough whenever I withdrew my sats.
However, I do consider trust to be a crucial factor if one chooses to park your hard-earned bitcoin with a third party. Unfortunately, trust arrives on foot and leaves on horseback. The unavailability of direct support contact via the site, and unclear system of governance of the site have always bothered me, and the recent technical difficulties were the straw that broke the camels back for me.
Good luck all!
