There are more, so they are tracking it. For now, ofc.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple will be great again on: March 13, 2019, 07:28:18 PM

Do not forget the latest great fall of Ripple. Those people that chose this currency only, lost a lot of their money. You should better invest in different altcoins - increase your chances to earn.

That happens with every coin when you buy at ATH price Cheesy

Hmm, I may be old fashioned and I do admit not much experience, but every casino (talking about normal ones as well, not just crypto) I played on (like 5-10), never had free promo money that I could just withdraw without anything *scratches his head, thinking*
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple now more valuable than Bitcoin! on: January 30, 2019, 12:21:45 PM
Why people are still investing in centralised coins without a limited supply? I simply cannot understand such investment decision.

100B XRP were made and they can't make more.

At the moment of this post, there are 99,991,708,587 XRP out there, according to CMC.

Reason for less than 100B is because each transaction burns (destroys) a very small amount of XRP.

As for the OP, I have no idea what nonsense he/she's talking about >_>
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP Ripple confusing discussions. on: January 30, 2019, 09:34:43 AM

i don't think you can call such a coin "deflationary" just because its supply is capped. it is like saying grains of sand are deflationary! it is already inflated and they haven't even released all the supply yet!

I think you missed the part where a small amount of XRP is destroyed every transaction. That is why there's 99,991,708,587 XRP available at the time I'm writing this post and not 100B.

you can not decide whether or not to buy some altcoin by reading about it and its technology! we are in a manipulated pump and dump market and "research" like that won't help you one bit.

That is your opinion and I would even agree with it when applied to any coin that doesn't try to solve a real life problem.

But since Ripple is doing exactly that, I can't agree with you.

Greed is the root, imho.

Every evil action starts from some kind of self interest aka some kind of greed.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP Ripple confusing discussions. on: January 30, 2019, 08:52:38 AM
I have been research about Ripple/XRP. I learned that xRapid will use XRP to send money over internationally for banks transfer purposes. From my understanding, XRP cannot be printed, what if bank want to send $100 billion, that means XRP have to be $5 or above so banks can use XRP to send money with xRapid. Am I correct from my research? There is mixed reports about XRP, and its likely they will not use XRP at all? Would be cool if you guys share your knowledge on this part. Thank you.

They can't make more.
The coin is deflationary, as in a very small amount gets burned (destroyed) on every transaction. (Around 8M XRP destroyed so far).

Also, there is a thing called xCurrent and xRapid (among others).

xCurrent, you use the tech, but not XRP and you save more money than using conventional transfer (rough estimate done by Ripple and users is around 30%

xRapid, you use the tech AND you use XRP which makes you save another, cca, 30% savings

You'll see a lot of hate (and probably a fair amount of shilling) for Ripple/XRP, but don't fall into such trap. Keep researching, took me 3 weeks of reading to decide whether to buy.

EDIT: THis is a VERY simple explanation and you best visit Hodor's blog, he has some amazing articles that shed a lot of light on the matter.

I have no idea if it's true, but:

TLDR: Allegedly:
"Cryptopia didnt get hacked again, the hacker "stole Cryptopia's private keys and deleted topia's copy. "Basically using Cryptopia's address as his own."
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nobody wins in gambling anyway on: January 30, 2019, 07:31:23 AM
To those who are not familiar with this dice color game in the Philippines, here's how it looks like. Video is not mine, I just found it in Youtube and share it with you guys for reference. The game is so easy, there are 3 identical wooden dice, each side of the dice have different colors, 6 colors to choose from, pick any of the six, you win if the color you picked showed up after rolling the dice.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NejqpSFWta8

Now OP doesn't make sense anymore. He said chose 1/5 and get payed 20%.

Here, it's 6 colors, which is a major difference. How much% do you get on your bet if you pick the right color?
Not to mention 3 dice, so do we need to get a color on 1 die only or..?

Something's missing here, no way the casino is taking 0% in the long run O_o

why did the fud hit ripple so hard in this days ? Someone said that the capital is too big and the coin is overvalued...is this right? what happened exactly with the ripple?

It's always like that when someone's doing real, succesful, world problem solving work.
Haters gonna hate. They will find all sorts of "reasons" why one should hate it.

Do yourself a favor, read about it yourself, research and come to your own conclusion.

Don't listen to those who say it rules, don't listen to those who say it sucks. DYOR!

EDIT: Everyone's has an asshole, err, I mean an opinion. And they all equally (don't) matter whenever there's no real reason behind it.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else think "long term" hodlers are idiots? on: January 25, 2019, 11:23:05 AM
Funny how every time the market is in a recession and losers keep holding on to their losses they magically become "long term" holders.

God damn it, "long term" is such a stupid meme. Admit it, you wanted to get rich quick and once you realised you are too dumb to swing trade you suddenly became a "long term" loser.

Such idiocity.

You think Dan Balzerian held anything "long term"?

Long term is for losers.

You suffer from the "Every coin is the same, thus whatever I think about one, applies to other ones" even if you don't know it Wink

When you find a coin that has long term plans and you research it and decide to buy cause if those plans happen down the road, you'll make money....it's only logical to hold on.
If the plans will take..let's say 7 years. Why not hold if we think the price will be the highest then?

17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been able to resist? on: January 23, 2019, 02:18:45 PM
Used to gamble, not much, but you know, a bit of small stake roulette, some slot poker, etc.

Then I discovered real poker (texas holdem to be exact) in 2007., really delved into it, started reading books (after I lost first 50$ Cheesy ) which allowed me to fully understand that casino gambling makes no sense if you wan't to earn money (gambling for fun is something different).
Made some money off of it, but nothing major as I always used the money to play on and get better.

That part was a turning point and I understand, more than before, that you CAN'T win in long term in casino games.

Basically, when you understand that something is bad for you and in what way, you can't get addicted to it.

(i.e. 20 years smoking weed, mixing with tobacco (poor european, what can I say Cheesy ), but I NEVER smoked cigarettes. It's actually gross to me. And I had (and still have) short or long periods of not consuming anything. It's all in your head. I don't like to be addicted to ANYTHING. So I'm not.)
18  Economy / Economics / Re: How to grow bitcoin price to $176,190,476.19? on: January 23, 2019, 07:47:34 AM
All of these scenarios are completely unrealistic. It would be better to use gold for comparison or even silver and what the price would be if they were swapped for bitcoin as a financial reserve

You are thinking in bitcoin like an asset, but If you analyze it like a currency all scenarios are likely. All them are statics and math based.

You're forgeting one important, maybe the most important, part of the equasion.

People. People f*ck up even the most utopian ideas ever, no matter how perfect you make it.
Again, greeed. Repeat after me: Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeed.

It has moved almost every single bad move in the history of mankind and it will be the doom of us, in one shape or another.

Any plan that involves people giving their own money away for free to other people is NOT happening.

Why did BTC get to 20k in the first place? Greed.

Human race will NEVER share like that on a large scale. NEVER.

It's a nice sentiment, but no.
