Is there a way to import private key into UfoDex so that I don't have to send coins to the account wallet?

When loggin into UfoDex all your private keys are inherited from the seed. this makes it possible to access funds from anything (web, mobile, coinb.in) that can reproduce keys generation algo. At the moment only login/password method is available, but more to come. This means that there is no option to import user private keys into UfoDex database, since this is a main idea of UfoDex - have no access to user's private keys. There is an option to export account private keys to use them later in Core client.

UfoDex.io progress update:
- migrated backend to use Electrum servers - this is supposed to improve balance updates to some degree and will also introduce pending txs in future
- cleaned up network requests - everything that deals with calculating fees should now work a little bit faster
- fixed some UI bugs

Some update:
UfoDex does not store your login/password.

They are used to generate private keys for your wallets in the way Coinb.in wallet does.
This actually makes 2FA authentication almost useless. Besides, we strongly recommend not to use weak login/password pair, since generating private keys is more about math than about security.

On the other hand without knowing your login/password the exchange is not able to access or lock your funds.

Anyway, we are working on mobile app which will completly remove private keys from web-client, will enable full 2FA authentication and tx signing confirmations for any operation.

BTW, which better asic-resistant algo would you suggest?

Yes, UFO's history is a road with bumps and holes.

But team's goal is to make UFO more than "just another coin" by developing projects with UFO integration. Too early to talk about this, but as soon as we have the MVP for any of them - the announcement will follow.

There is no easy way to implement anonymous 2fa authentication for non-custodial wallet. More login methods are in developement, similar to the ones myetherwallet.com has.

UFObject progress update from the development team

Since early 2018 the Uniform Fiscal Object // UFO coin has been going through substantial changes.

Thanks to Peter Bushnell, a leading developer of UFO coin, the UFObject core wallet has been continuously updated to follow the most recent version of Bitcoin Core wallet released.

Current UFObject Core wallet version has all softforks activated to enable support of the Lightning network, Atomic swaps (BIP65) and Segwit.

With the collaborative effort of the renewed UFObject development team, we are proud to announce the development of several UFObject related projects.

First of all, UFObject now supports tokens. The Uniform Asset Layer project is responsible for the specialized version of Core wallet which allows to issue, grant and transfer tokens over UFObject blockchain. This allows almost anyone with some technical background to manage tokens (similar to Tether USD). More information is available at https://uniasset.org

Another major step forward for UFO was made in late 2018 when the team started the development of the Atomic Swap Exchange - UfoDex. Since May 2019 the public mainnet beta version of the exchange is available at https://ufodex.io

Atomic Swaps offer a secure way to exchange coins between two blockchains. This means that exchanging UFO to BTC or back is now possible with the latest security features natively supported by UFObject and Bitcoin blockchains.

The team has also put a lot of effort in implementing basic UFO support for open-source libraries used by the BtcPay payment gateway and others. This will increase the adoption of UFO to be used as a payment medium.  The main release version for payment gateways is under way and expected to be completed very soon.

UFObject Core 0.18 is in development.
